I know!! I really have been ok with her turning one until I put these invites together. It was so sad thinking a year has already gone by and she is no longer my baby, but now a little girl! CRAZY, but I have loved every minute and can't wait for all the fun yet to come:) Are you thinking about another one anytime soon? My husband always wanted to "not prevent" a second when Anna turned one, but now that it is here I am not so sure I am ready! As fast as I got pregnant with Anna I don't know how I feel about possibly being pregnant again in a month!! As for the party we are doing something pretty simple. My parents have a pool in their backyard so we are going to do a BBQ with some swimming. We just invited family and a few of our friends that have kids as well. I am very excited for it! What do you guys have planned?

Where does your baby nap? I read that you should put your baby down for a nap in the same place he sleeps at night. Anwyays, when we were on holiday we noticed he slept well in a travel cot. So we bought one for home and put it in our bedroom. Then gradually he moved him to his crib. He sleeps there from 9pm to 7:30am everynight since he's been 5 months old. Good luck.

I read your comment about moving your little one into his own room. The way i have always done it in the past was to do it slowly. First try moving the crib (if it fits) into your room or the room he has been sleeping in. Place your night shirt into the bed with him so that he can smell you. Do that for a few nights. Then move the crib into his room. Then eventually remove your nightshirt. The whole process should take about 2 or 3 weeks. It always works for us. Good Luck!

I never co-slept but I had Claire in a bassinet in my room until she outgrew it at 4 months. I give her a bath and nurse her.If she doesn't fall asleep then I will rock her to sleep and play a lullaby CD. When she is asleep I put her in her crib on her belly. ( she started rolling on her belly anyways when she slept) She has slept SO much better since she started sleeping on her belly. Maybe you could try that. She still wakes up once or twice during the night, but she has adjusted to the crib well. Does he take naps in his crib? If not, maybe start with that to get him used to the crib. He will get used to his crib. Hang in there!

Yep, our zoo is pretty big. I know that it rates up there with the San Diego Zoo so we had a lot of fun:) We were there from 9:30-1:30 and still didn't look at everything. I put the pictures up so you will have to take a look!!

That is too funny! We had a blast at the zoo too. I was surprised at how much Anna actually watched the animals. I figured she would get bored with it, but she had lots of fun. I will make sure to post pictures soon:) Hope all is going well!

I bet Lyric just loves the beach and sand. We are going to FL in August and can't wait for Brayden to see the ocean and play in the sand. He loves to go outside and love to play in the grass. Starting to show some signs of crawling when he was on his tummy with the boppy pillow he was able to get on all fours the boppy helped keep his tummy up. Does Lyric love the water? Me and Brayden does parent/child swim classes together and he loves the water he love to kick and splash. (but hates laying on his back, he wants to see what is going on).

Brayden is doing so much better, now my oldest son broke his right collarbone so now it is like taking care of two babies I call him my big baby. How Lyric? Brayden finally learned to sit up on his own and is rolling all over. Still no teeth but I see them trying to pop. doing better a nights YEAH!!

I know! It is sooooo cold and I hate it! I am the same...I hate really cold and really hot weather:) I think I would like to move further south where it is definitely warmer but all of my family is here and that is really nice when it comes to needing babysitters, etc. My sister is moving to Santa Monica. She went to school to be an interior designer and did an internship in LA this last summer. She loved it and the place she did her internship with offered her a job so she had to go back. Do you love living in CA? Or is that where you are from? I guess I don't know where San Luis Obispo is!!!
