7w5d!!!

Hi everyone! This is our first....and can I even begin to tell you just how excited we are??!!? We have been 'trying' for 16 months, and we were getting ready to make an appointment with a specialist....then IT HAPPENED! God's wonderful, isn't he?

I had my first u/s at 7 weeks because I was spotting. But, the dr. saw the baby and heard the heartbeat!! My hubby cried. I think I was just in amazement. I know our life is getting ready to change so, so, so much....but oh how we're ready!

I still find myself worrying, but I'm just trying to relax and let God do his work! I go for my 12 week u/s on Thursday. I can't wait!!!!

15 Weeks

Things are still going good. No more spotting!!! Just a little worried now because I don't feel any more symtoms... But, God will take care of us! I go for my next Drs appointment on May 8th. I think we'll listen to the heartbeat, but no ultrasound. I'm so ready to find out if it's a girl or boy!!! Keep saying your prayers for us. Thanks!

Friday, May 2nd

16 Weeks!!! Yeah!

So excited that we're already 16 weeks!!!! I'm not nearly as nervous as I was in the begining. Now I'm just ready to start 'showing' and feel the little guy move. I say guy because that's what I'm thinking it is. I think my husband thinks it's a girl, but we don't care as long as the little one is healthy! No sickness, and the gagging with the toothbrush is getting better. :-) Weird things sure happen when you're preggers!!! We've rented a doppler and I use it everyday to listen to the heartbeat. I feel like God is shining down on us!!!! Prayers that things will keep going well!

Went today for the second part of the genetic testing. We should get the results with in a week. Next docter's appointment is next Thursday the 8th. I'm sad that we won't be getting an ultrasound yet....seems like a lot of people already know what they're having. My doctor only does 2, and I think the second one will be our 21st or 22nd week.

We've got lots to do before the baby gets here...seems overwhelming! We have to finish the basement, so that my office can move down there. Then we'll make what's now my office into the nursery. And, the summer is already getting full of things that are going on. Oh well, I'm not gonna stress over it, it will all get done somehow, right???

23 Weeks!!

Wow! Time is flying by!!! I remember back to 12, 13, 14 weeks...thinking, time is dragging. I think it's really finally hit me! We're going to be parents!!!!! Wow! Crazy! We found out on Tuesday that it's a GIRL!!! I was surprised. I was sure it was going to be a boy! Not sure why, I just 'felt' it, you know? But, I can't tell you how thrilled I am that it's a girl!

We're not sure on a name yet. I really like McKenna Grace....but I'll probably change my mind a hundred times before then!

The spotting (knock on wood) has stopped for now. I tell you what - that's certainly a way to scare a pregnant lady! The doctor says that 20% of pregnant women do bleed thru-out their pregnancy....I don't like being in that statistic! It's automatic anxiety for me!

We went and bought our first girl outfit right after we left the dr. We got a really cute little onesie....girls clothes are so stinkin cute! We're going to be broke!

Feeling ok. A bit craby sometimes...LOL and short tempered. (Poor hubby). The weird thing is that I can feel myself being that way, but I can't help it! LOL

Praise God that the baby looks healthy!!!

Feeling good this week (and the last few weeks.) She's really starting to move around a lot now! Daddy still hasn't been able to feel her... :-( She stops when he puts his hand on my belly. Speaking of bellies - mine is getting pretty big. Although I'll probably look back when I'm in week 34 and say, that was nothing - look at it now! LOL It used to be kinda flat(er) when Iwould wake up and it would get bigger as the day went on. Now it's pretty much big all day long! I'm finally at that stage where most people can tell that I'm pregnant and not just growing a gut!! That's a good feeling.

We went and registered at Babies R Us, Target and Wal-Mart. Made us realize that we have no clue what we're doing, what we're going to need - - and what have we gotten ourselves into?? LOL But it was fun. I sure hope we get some good things, because we don't have anything! Haven't started on the nursery yet - hopefully I can do that by the first week in August. We're having to rearrange some other rooms first in order to make room for the nursery.

There are so many pregnant ladies running around right now! Something must have been in the water - because they are everywhere!!!

I'm just now starting to think about and get nervous about the actual labor....too late now!
