I so hope everything is okay and it's not the actual mucus plug that came out. TUESDAY 29TH, 2008 - 12:43pm Ok. I know it's been a few days since I've been online...Here is the update on my mucus plug issue I was having. Nurse took a culture and 2 pee tests. The culture came back negative but my pee test came back with hp traces. The nurse explained that I need to drink a whole lot more water and cranberry juice since my pee wasn't flushing all of the acidity it was supposed too. My main concern was to know if any of the this was affecting the baby to what the nurse said no....Ahhh, what a relief. We got to listen to her heart beat and it was between 150-160. Nurse said she was moving a lot since she kept having to move the 'thing' damn it ... can not think of the name. all over. THURSDAY 31ST, 2008 - 1:37pm OMG! I been having subway for lunch everyday for the past 2 weeks...I can not help it!..Xtra mustard, Xtra mayo! Shame on me ;P Went on a little shopping spree last night and bought my little girl all kind of clothes plus her 1st pair of shoes (size 1). Even thou she is a girl I am not a big fan of pink so I am having a bit of a hard time finding clothes that can still have a girly touch without having all that pink involved...I so can not wait to meet my little girl. MONDAY 4TH, 2008 - 2:55pm OMG!!!!!!!!!! FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER I CAN FINALLY SAY THAT I REALLY FELT MY LITTLE GIRL KICK ME. SHE KICKED MY ASS LIKE THERE WAS NO TOMORROW THIS MORNING. SHE STARTED AT AROUND 3AM AND DIDN'T STOP UNTIL AROUND 4ISH AM. IT WAS INCREDIBLE TO FEEL HER! IT'LL BE HONEST TO SAY THAT IT WAS A BIT ON THE WEIRD BUT SURE WAS WORTH IT... I AM SO GLAD TO KNOW THAT PEOPLE ARE FINALLY STARTING TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM PREGNANT AND NOT JUST FAT! I AM SO HAPPY MY HUSBAND HAS FINALLY STARTED TO ASK MORE ABOUT OUR BABY GIRL. HE WANTED TO FEEL HER KICK SO BAD LAST NIGHT BUT OUR LITTLE ONE WOULDN'T COOPERATE WHENEVER HIS HAND WAS ON MY TUMMY. ALSO I JUST NOW STARTED TO FEEL SOME OF HER KICKS RIGHT ABOVE MY BELLY BUTTON. THURSDAY 7TH, 2008 - 3:08PM Today i been having this come and go shutting headaches all day plus, i been experiencing some diziness since yesterday...Pregancy Perks?! Ahhh! Also, I had this huge OJ glass for breakfast thinking it would get my little girl moving but sure didn't...I also had an strawberry Odwalla drink right after and still...I have yet to feel her move...Maybe once today but that's it. 3:29pm...Ha, Ha!!! My little one must had sense that I was talking about her...She just kicked me a few times !!!! and what the F with this headaches? RRRRR! i hope is not a migraine...last time I had one ( 17 weeks) it lasted for 3 days. MONDAY 18TH 2008 My husband finally got to feel our little one kick on Saturday nite 2-16!!!!!!!!! I was so excited about that...It happen at exactly 24 weeks. Plus, I finally got to see my belly jump from her kicking me so hard on Sunday 2-17. My husband does seem to be caring a bit more about us. I guess the kicking made him realized that yeah, there is someone in there and it's not just me getting fat :D. Other than that she's been very active during the day and a bit during the night. My hubby and I did some lovemaking on Saturday morning and for the first time ever since becoming pregnant there was a little spotting but nothing major. I am so happy to see him been exciting about our little one...Couldn't ask for more. MONDAY 25, 2008 - 3:03PM Well, i wrote a long update last week but apparently this thing didn't save it...Arrr! I was supposed to be going to my drs. today for my 25week check up but they called me to rescheduled...ARRRRR! My little one was very active during the weekend...I wonder if it's 'cause of all of the eating I did...OMG! I did nothing but eat both days I have a 3d/4d Ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow at 6pm...we'll see how that goes...I am very excited but trying not to think about too much. I so can not wait to see her little face. Specially after having this one dream the other day where I was holding her in my arms(trying to breastfeed)...She was soooooooo beautiful. Besides 'seeing' her the most wonderful thing was knowing that she was my baby...OMG it felt so good to love her and hold her...I can not wait to meet our little Rachel :) My belly keeps growing by the week and so does my love for her... TUESDAY 26, 2008 - 2:46PM COUNTING THE HRS. BEFORE MY 3D/4D!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LAST NIGHT SURE WAS AN EXCITING NIGHT - WENT TO BED AT AROUND 9ISH AND KEPT WAKING UP 'CAUSE OF MY LITTLE ONE MOVING TOO MUCH. HUBBY CAME TO BED AT AROUND 3AM ...RACHEL WAS KICKING SO BAD THAT I JUST COULDN'T GET IN A CONFORTABLE POSITION. EITHER SIDE I LAID DOWN ON SHE WOULD KICK IT LIKE THERE WAS NO TOMORROW. PLUS HER KICKING WAS JUST ALL OVER THE PLACE. I TRIED LAYING DOWN ON MY BACK BUT OF COURSE 3 SECONDS INTO IT AND MY LOWER BACK STARTS HURTING. AFTER DOING SOME READING RACHEL MIGHT HAVE HAD THE HICCUPS SINCE THE 'KICKING' WAS JUST ALL OVER MY STOMACH AND NOT JUST AT A SPECIFIC SPOT. BESIDES THAT I WAS BURPING MY HEART OUT AND HAVING A BIT OF A HARD TIME BREATHING...OH LITTLE ONE...WHEN IT'S ALL OF THIS GOING TO STOP ; - P ? MY APPT. IS TODAY AT 6PM AND I'M BRINGING HUBBY WITH ME...SO EXCITEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!... I HOPE EVERYTHING GOES THE WAY IT'S SUPPOSED TO AND WE CAN SEE HER ALL. BESIDES THAT I HAVE THIS PAIN ON MY INNER THIGH THAT I JUST CAN NOT EXPLAIN WHERE IT CAME FROM. IT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE A CRAMP OR LIGAMENT KINDA PAIN, IT FEELS AS IF IT WAS MY BLOOD VAIN. IT HURTS TO THE TOUCH TOO, MY FINGERS FEEL LIKE THEY'RE GONNA EXPLODE. THURSDAY 28, 2008 - 2:07PM Well...as some of you might already know I had a 3d/4d Ultrasound performed on Tuesday 27 @ 6pm. Hubby and I were very excited about seen our baby's face for the first time. Hubby and I fought a little bit on our way there 'cause of me not driving right Anyway, we get there, we sign in, filled out a form. The receptionist lady was very sweet and asked if we already knew what we were having to what we both said YES!...It's a girl. She congratulated us ...It wasn't much longer when the Tech lady came out and had us go into the US room which was so very relaxing. I mean, the whole place was so relaxing and nice. So we go into the dark room, she asked my hubby to seat down, had me lay down and the whole deal. She asked about us knowing the gender of the baby to what we both responded that we did. So, she started the machine, pour some lubricant on me and not even 5 minutes into the US she asked us once again if we knew it was a girl and if so who was the one who told us...We responded it was the technician and doctor at our Big U/S at 18weeks & 3 days. She hesitates and says to us that what we been told is wrong...My hubby and I look at each other and think she is just kidding around. At this point the image is up on the tv playing but I am so in shock that all I can do is look at her and look at my husband...I am laughing histarically, repeting once and once again...You're kidding, You're kidding...I am laughing, my husband is crying and the tech is laughing...OMG! it was an UNEXPECTED, OUT OF THIS WORLD, WTF MOMENT...It was like starting all over, like finding out hey! we are pregnant again! Besides this unexpected surprise it was so amazing to see our little one in action. at first he was covering his face with his arms but after some little bumping he uncovered it and to our surprise the little one looks just like daddy. He got the hiccups while we were watching him. Plus, he kept tickling his mouth with his toes...He had his legs up with his feet right in front of his face at all times...He was even sucking on one of his toes...He was soooooooooooooo preciousssssssssssssssssss! Daddy was and still is over the moon. We wished to have a boy when we first found out we were pregnant and the main reason was 'cause of after seeing all of my nieces been so difficult with boys, school, running away from home, etc., it really scared us...specially my husband. But after a while both my husband and I accepted the idea of having a girl and had truly started to enjoy her. My husband had a hard time but he had finally accepted the idea of having a little girl...he had make plans, started talking to her, named her Rachel, etc. Oh boy we were in for a surprise!!!!! I just went and returned some of the pink clothing I had shop for. I guess we'll just have to wait for the next one to be a little girl... The pics we got from him are so ADORABLE. He looks like daddy and has daddy's nose...LOL! My husband has all this plans about the two of them going motorcross, him getting his first tattoo...Oh boy! We are so happy but am even more happy to see my husband been this happy... We can not wait to meet our little man. PS _ I still can not believe its a BOYYYYYYY! FRIDAY 28, 2008 - 9:31AM I been trying to upload the 3d/4d U/S pictures but for some reason it's not working :( I am at work right now and I am feeling as fat as a cow, so uncomfortable. Last nite was laundry nite and having to go up and down the stairs with loads of laundry didn't really help much with my sleep...I was so sored the whole time I was doing it I could hardly walk right Did a bit of cleaning but didn't really pick up anything since I can't really bend down anymore. Had hubby help me pick up the trash and do the bed once he was back home from work. Little sleep I got last night was good since my boy wasn't really moving...After all the moving, kicking, punching he did during the day he must had been out! I'll be turning 26 wks on Sunday and have a drs. appt. on Monday. Hubby is still very happy and excited about his little boy!!!! SUNDAY 03-02 12:52PM I am at home and just had taco bell for lunch..Oh man if Ive eating jalapenos this weekend. Little one has kept busy moving in there and for the first time ever I experienced swollen ankles last nite: )...It made me feel like a soon to be mom. My hands specially my left one has been getting swollen but only during night time. Little one was hanging out very, very low last nite but he is back to his all spot this morning (Phew), my nips have gone back to been sensitive and in pain at all times. We have a drs appt. tomorrow and can not wait to hear our little one's heart beat again. Hubby and I went out on Friday to the mall and he purchased a couple of cute stuff for him...I am so in love with my husband and our little guy :) TUESDAY, MARCH 4 2008 - 10:39AM Went to my drs. appt. yesterday afternoon...Ahh, where to start? Dr.measured my belly with a measuring tape and by what she said he seems to be growing just fine. Dr. noticed my swollen ankles and asked me to put my feet up at work during the day and to also drink plenty of water. Even thou the dr. was clueless about what was going on with me (wasn't aware of glucose test been done already, my 18wks U/S, gender mistake, etc, etc.) Anyways, My glucose test came back negative with a result of 140. 140 been the borderline to what the dr. said no to any more sweets for the rest of the pregnancy. My weight gaining so far it's been only 1lb but since I started off being overweight dr. isn't really concern about it. Also dr. wants me to start working on kick counts as soon as I hit week 28. Our little man's heartbeat was 152-163. Nightime and sleeping time seens to be getting harder and harder as the weeks go by. NO MORE COOKIES, CAKE, CHOCOLATE, SWEETSSSSSS :( :( THURSDAY 6, 2008 - 9:50AM I'm happy to say that my husband has narrow down the baby names to just two...SETH OR NATAS. I overheard him telling this to his friends on line last night...It is always so cute to heard him talk about his baby boy. Our little man hasn't been as active as he was last week, he's still moving the most early morning...4 kicks and that's it. With this horrible heartburn every night I been trying not to have dinner past 7pm but then again I'll be starving by morning time. Last night I woke up with this horrible cramp on my calve...It was the size of a golf ball...I was complaining so bad that my husband got up all worried thinking there was something wrong with the baby...LOL! I am glad I woke him up...Him and his damn snoring, getting all that nice sleep...HOW ABOUT ME! LOL! My next appt. is not until April 7 ( 2 days before my bday!)@ 31wks. I'm hoping everything goes well until then. Can't wait to meet my little boy! I love him so much already and knowing this is the child of the man I'm in love with and been for almost 8 years just makes it even better :) FRIDAY 7TH, 2008 - 10:27AM I been trying not to freak out but since my last drs visit which was on Monday my little boy has become so less active. For the past 2-3days all I've felt are just a couple of flutters way down below my belly buttom. He was all over the place the prior week but now he barely moves. No movement after meals and one to none when laying down. I just called the dr. and they're supposed to be giving me a call back. I did lie a bit saying it was so much less...I don't wanna have to be so worry and just wanna make sure the little man it's ok in there. If I had to say that I am vomiting and worst I would...as long as they can get me in and have them double check on him to make sure he is doing fine. Other random questions!! Just pulled out a ruler and by what it looks like my little boy seems to be having a punching match 3 inches above my belly buttom...Priceless!

BIRTH STORY - SITH ALEKSANDER R. 06-05-08

As I mentioned before, I didn't experience back to front contractions, bloody show, mucus plug coming out, water bag braking, belly dropping, pooping more than normal, etc.

I never took any childbirth classes. I did plently of reading on line, magazines, books, etc. but as they say...no pregnancy is alike...

Got up early in the morning at around 6ish am 'cause I wasn't able to go back to sleep...the story of my life...lol. Funny thing is that the day before I had gone on a shopping spreed, spending half the day doing groceries and baby shopping...no symptoms of any king on this day. Anyways, I got up went into the livingroom and tried laying down on the sofa without luck so I decided to just sit down with my feet up. Dogs came out and sit with me. At around 7am I started noticing that I was getting a very dull back pain every few minutes but didn't really pay any attention since with the pregnancy everything hurts at all times. I tried going back to sleep without luck so I decided to get on line. I went ahead and once again started reading about labor symptoms, blah, blah...none of the stuff I found was a match or some how compared to the dull pain I was feeling so I decided it must had been just a backache. I played with the dogs, moved around, cooked breakfast, etc. The pain was still there but wasn't intense or anything so I continued to neglected and ignored it. After a while I decided to go back on line and logged on to contractionmaster.com to time the space in between each "back contraction"...lol, It looked like the pain was coming every 5-6 minutes...I did this for about an hr and a half...my husband finally got up, I mentioned to him but told him not to pay much attention since my drs. appt was scheduled for the same morning at 10am and that if anything was happening (which I didn't think it did) she was gonna be able to tell us. So after being up since 6ish am it was now almost 10 and my husband kept insisting on bringing everything with us...the baby seat, bags, camera, etc. I kept telling not to since all we were doing was getting a check up for our 39ish wk. My husband did in fact bring everything with us and we even fought on our way there 'cause I had told him not to bring anything.

We got to the drs. the pain was still there but still wasn't bad or interfering with anything I was doing...I went in and got checked by the dr. who said I was 60% effaced (mispelled I bet) and 1 cm dilated...whoo hoo, after been closed with no changes for a while I was actually glad to hear that. I must say that out of all the internal check ups this was the most painful she had ever done...nothing different from the rest but somehow it just happen to hurt. I also mentioned to her that the baby wasn't been as active as he was supposed to after each meal so she decided to send me to the hospital for a stress test and to measure my contractions. I left the office and drove up the st. to the hospital. We got there, checked in and right away the nurse told me to get undress and put my gown on since I was been admited right away due to drs. order...I was in shock and kept telling her and my husband that all I was coming in for was to have the test and contractions monitor...they all laughted at me since I wouldn't undress and wouldn't take my bra off...They kept telling me I was in denial. So, I finally got undressed, laid down and got hooked up to the monitor....I guess they were all right (I am just admiting to that now) since I was experiencing contractions every 4 minutes. Nurse came back in and say they were going to get my IV going and stuff (at this point I am still in denial saying that baby isn't supposed to come in today). They got the IV in ( nothing bad, just like getting blood taken) and let me "rest" for a few minutes. Contractions were now coming and I was really feeling them...they would start at the top of my stomach (tighting) and then they would go down...It is a very similar feel as if you were holding your breath in and experiencing a braxton hicks contraction. The nurse came back in to check my cervix which was 2 cm now and she also needed to check this two glands which are facing the back (rectum area I would say) OMG if that hurted..whatever those glands are it hurt badddd. I had never been to a hospital so with every move/check/test/etc they wanted to make I would first make sure to ask them if it hurt to what everyone kept telling me it wouldn't in comparison to giving labor. They also kept asking me if I was planning on taking an epidural which at that point still didn't know if I was or not. My husband kept saying yes to the idea. I wasn't opposed to it I just didn't know how bad pain may get and honestly still didn't know if I could bare the idea of having a needle sticked in my back. Nurses came in to check on me every few minutes. When I had finally hit 4ish cm I decided to take the epidural...contractions weren't extremely painful just unconfortable so we decided to get it before they got too bad. They came in with all of the equipment and omg if I was a nervous about it.. They sit me up on the bed, the nurse held my hand, they asked me to arch my back and after injecting (little sting) the area to get it to numb the other needle went in...I must say that it doesn't hurt, it is just an uncorfortable feeling since you can feel the "liquid" going in and spreading plus the preassure. Other than that I must say that epidurals aren't as bad as they make them to be. After getting it they make up laid down on your side and have you switch sides every few minutes, monitor your preassure. You can still feel the pressure of the contractions a bit but the pain does go away completely. Your legs go a bit numb but nothing out of this world...I couldn still move my toes and everything. They do put a catarede (mispell) in so you can pee...I was very surprised to see my filled up so fas since I couldn't really tell if I need it to got or not. Same goes with farting. My husband kept telling me that i was farding but I guess I couldn't tell since I was numb.

So far at this point my hospital visit it's been more of a waiting game since all we are waiting for it's my cervix to get fully dilated. The dr. comes in and decided to break my water bag...She inserts this long stick with a hook at the end. It doesn't hurt or anything. It takes her a minute or two and right there and then a little trickle of warm water comes out, this continues to happen every now and then. After I hit 5 cm they decided to start me on (can't remember the name for the staff used for inducing) so contractions were gonna come by faster and more stady. Once again, I could feel the preassure a bit but no pain at all. After checking my cervix once again they realized the baby had poop a bit so they decided to help him clean up by attaching an IV like tube into my cervix which was like saline solution I think. This gave the baby a bit more fluid which was good since his heart beat had gone a bit low. At around 11ish pm I was fully dilated and they started bringing all of the equipment in and called my dr to show up...I am in shock, denial and still can not believe I am about to have this baby. 15-10 to midnight they asked me and guided me to put my legs up. One more check and the nurse said the baby was all the way down and that he had a coned head...LOL

10 to midnight I do my first set up pushing...breath in thru your nose, hold it in and push as if you were going to the bathroom...dr. get there, 4 more pushes and the baby is out!.. what a feeling!

You can feel the pressure but no pain(at least in my case), baby comes all the way out and this huge gush of water comes out ( I though I had poop all over the dr. but I guess it was just the water...phew). Baby was placed on my chest, daddy cuts the umbilical cord and then he is checked by the nursed ( all of this is happening next to me in the same room). Right after he comes out and taken care of the dr. has to push out the placenta...OMG!!! this was very painful, more painful than the epidural, delivery, IV's and everything. She massages and pushes from the top of your now flat and flab top of your stomach down in order to get it out...it was very painful since she has to massage it for a few minutes...ouch just thinking about it. It finally comes out but then she has to perform a couple of stiches since I had a few first degree tears on my labia....Nine months of waiting have come to an end. My labor lasted about 12 hrs. .. Checked in at 11 am, waiting all day long for progress and after pushing four times for 10 minutes at 12:07 am my baby boy it's born!!!

They moved me into another room the next day and from this point on all they do is check on both the baby's and mine vital signs. They keep massaging my stomach making sure everything is feeling the way it's supposed to. You are left a bit sore, tired, bleeding ( I do recommed taking and using the huge pads they give you there) the bleeding decreases a lot by the second week and it's nice not having to use your own panties.

Sorry my birth story is this long...I hated clicking on someone's elses during my pregnancy just to find out it was only a few lines long with no "real, raw" info to read about and help, give me an idea of what to expect.
