Birth Story

I woke up at 11am on my birthday and felt a leak, so i walked about a little and the leak kept leaking so i got a little scared and called Steven who then told me to call the hospital. The hospital told me to come in asap as it could be my waters.
then i started to get pains in my lower back which were getting stronger.
I arrived at the hospital around 12pm and was told to wait in the waiting room, so we sat and waited and the pain had moved from my back to my front (lower stomach) the pain was coming every 2 mins and lasting around 20 seconds so i knew it was a contraction as it was unlike any other pain iv ever felt in my life, i sat in the waiting room and cried everytime a contraction came.
Finally around 2pm i was seen and taken to the labour ward admissions room but they had no power haha so the midwife held my stomach while i was contracting but she said i was not contracting. i told steven that i definatley was and he was the only one who believed me.
Around 3pm I was taken to the labour ward as they had power and i was hooked up to the monitor, by this point i am really in pain as i was having contractions that were very long and very close together, the monitor said i was not contracting and the midwife said that i probably wouldnt have my baby today.
A doctor arrived and gave me an internal at around 3.15pm and it was soon discovered that i was 3cm dilated, finally they believed me that i was in labour, i they gave me diamorphine (pain relief) and steroids, as the baby was 5 weeks early.
When the drugs kicked in around 3.30pm i went to sleep as the midwife told me this stage of labour could take a while, and steven went home to sort a few things out.
At 4pm i woke up with a sudden urge to push, i pushed and looked around and noboday was there, i was soo scared so i shouted for my midwife and told her i needed to push, so she said ok then push.
I told her to quickly phone steven which she did, he arrived shortly after and after 46 minutes of pushing my gorgeous daughter was here.
I got no stitches, and only had a little tear.
Ella was taken to the Special care baby unit and remained there for 6 days, we spent a total of 8 days in hospital and are now home and well :)

Also id like to add that labour wasnt as bad as id thought, it was rough but i had it wayyyyy worse in my head and would do it again in a heartbeat! :)

My pregnancy story:

It was a regular Thursday and i had went to visit my dad, his wife, Audrey and my little sister who is 10. Audrey had asked me if i still hadnt had my period and i said no, im prob just stressed its all good, by this point i was 9 days late and wasnt even considering a pregnancy as me and Steven had split up at the time and were just "seeing" each other. So audrey had told me i was to take a home test as a friend of hers (a white witch) had said the good news she was to expect was going to be me tellng her i was preggo! oh how i laughed so she took me to morrisons and i got a test (the cheapest i could find as i wasnt going to "waste my money on a negative". Back at my dads i went to the toilet while audrey started dinner, i peed on the stick sat it on the floor and fixed mself up, played about with my hair etc etc, i looked at the test and low and behold it was positive, so i cried my eyes out and then went to the top of the stairs and shouted on Audrey, my little sister then came to the bottom of the stairs and asked me why i was crying and i told her to go and get audrey, so she did and she came up to me. she knew what the problem was, my dad was oblivious! she told me to stop crying and that it wasnt the end of the world, and tht worse could happen to me. hah i thought as to me it was the worst thing to happen at this point. i lied to my sister when i dried my eyes and told her id banged my toe when she asked me what was wrong, and my dad just guessed (dads intuition i think, unless audrey told him) i didnt eat much dinner that night.

i got home to my mums house and kept quiet at first as it was late at night but i told her the next day and she was happy! her first grandchild (im her only child)

Steven came over to mine the next night and i told him. he thought i was joking with him or playing a prank, he said we should think about our options but i was not giving this baby up as i could never live with myself, his family are now happy too and me and steven got back together and are now engaged again lol

i think we were given this baby to tell us to get our act together and to remain a couple! lol

oh and about 2 weeks before the white witch told audrey about the pregnancy, me and audrey went to see a phycic and she told me that me and steven would get back together, and that she saw a pregnancy (i asumed it was his sister who was in labour that day) and the phycic told audrey that me and steven would get engaged again and that she would receive good news in a couple of weeks.

take of that what you will but i believe in phycics and all that, and if i didnt i deffo do now, anyways thats my pregnancy story and now im 25 weeks and soooo excited anout this baby and me and steven could not be happier, she truly is our gift from god!!

at first i was frightened about it but my friends and family have made me feel soo good about my capabilities, and audrey was right there was nothing to be sad about! i am now excited and blessed and cannot wait for my little girl to get here, i know ill make a great mum and steven a great dad and this will be a new chapter for us!

i get my scan on the 6th novemeber, so ill know the sex of my little peanut!! cant wait!!
