Well this is my first pregnancy and my hubby and i are very excited to become parents. So far it has been great no morning sickness or anything but smooth sailing except being quite tired all the time. I can't wait to welcome our new baby in September!!!! It's a baby boy!!!

Sunday, 1 June I agree with the posts below. Throw yourself a shower and send invitations. I planned my 1st baby shower since my sister was visiting someone in another state. I did the invitations and a friend helped me get a place to have the shower. This time around I'm just having a small gathering at my place.
And don't pay attention to comments people give you about gaining weight. You are pregnant!!! Pregnancy is the best excuse you can have when gaining weight .
You'll loose all the weight once the baby is born. mrs.rodriguez -
Sunday, 1 June Well when my mother first started saying that I would just say in a smart voice, 'Well, you know, I AM pregnant!' Now I just avoid it. I think that it will be perfectly fine if you threw yourself a shower. mrs.rodriguez -
Sunday, 1 June You should definitely throw yourself a shower and invite the people closest to you. As far as your Mom goes, my mother is doing the same thing. I guess it has just been so long since they were pregnant, they forget how it can be. NicoleAndGrant -

Finally another Canuck !! I totally understand how you feel with friends not understanding. Give it time, and you can raz them in years to come when they get pregnant.
So, has the warm weather hit your area yet? This weather we are experiencing is horrible, so cold and wet. 'April showers bring May flowers'? Well they are a month late lol
How are you feeling so far? praying4mybaby -
Wednesday, 14 May I am having the same question. I feel the baby one day, and the next he/she is relaxed and doesn't want to move. We bought a heart monitor just for that reason - seems to calm my nerves. ghmom -
Wednesday, 14 May I agree with fudgeethewhale. Some days I feel my baby move all day. Others I dont. It makes me nervous!! fudgeethewhale -
Tuesday, 13 May In RE to your comment, yes, I have had days where I feel no movement and others where I feel it constantly. It can make you nervous at times. p.smith -

Monday, 21 April Hi, I'm responding to your lack of sleep question. From the moment of conception, I have not been able to sleep more than 2 hours at a time! I am so very tired! I am fortunate in that this was my only bad symptom of pregnancy so far! When I talked to my doctor about this, he said it is probably nature's way of preparing me for when the baby comes, up all night. He said if you can't fall asleep right away again, to get up and do something, don't just lay there. He said if it is really bad, to take some Benydril. He said that is probably the safest medication you can take that has a drowsiness factor in it. I hope this helps! mamaharvey -
Monday, 21 April Hey! I was wondering how often do you feel your baby? For a few days I felt it a couple times a day. Then all the sudden I haven't felt in for a few days. Is that how it is going for you? pandablair -

Monday, 21 April Hey you. I have never slept well in my life being hyper. i do 4/5 hours for 4/5 nights then sleep a proper night. It kills me sometimes but since being pregnant i sleep like a baby. but i have tips. i try to stop thinking of life and start daydreaming and this can make me nod off. i tell myself i have to get up and clean the house if i'm up and that can send me off. i have loaded relaxing cd's on my ipod for really bad nights. i do crosswords, brain really wants to switch of when doing them and i can find the book in the bed in the morning! or get up and have a low cal horlicks hope this helps.

Saturday, 19 April I feel like I never sleep anymore also! I get tired thru the day and sometimes sleep then but my nights are horrible! My Dr said tylenol pm is ok or Benedryl but I havent tried either. windchime -
Friday, 11 April Yes, I think you are feeling the baby. I'm due Sept. 13 with my first and started feeling things about a week ago. I wasn't sure if it was the baby, but now I am because it feels so different from any digestion things. abailes -
Friday, 11 April That proding feeling that you are experiencing would be the baby. Have you tried laying down at night on your back. Lay really still and be calm. I did this last night and my baby was moving like crazy as if there was a dance off in my belly. Now as soon as i rolled back to my side I couldn't feel it as much anymore. I thought it was really cool. pandablair -

Monday, 7 April I have no appetite either! Funny cause with my first pregnancy it was the exact opposite. I was hungry allll the time! I had gained over 70 pounds and this pregnancy I am losing weight. LOL
Maybe it will be a girl for me this time around. I have an ultrasound same day as you! Keep in touch and let me know what they say! Kandace -

Thursday, 20 Mar Hey there. Congratulations on your baby news! Im just behind you in week 13. Its my first too. Just to let you know I have been having problems sleeping. Your not on your own. My sister inlaw was due Sunday just gone so she is my guru! She said that if you take a nice hot bath with baby lavander bubble bath that might help plus a choc hollicks. She said this really did the trick. Im going to try it. Good luck!x acasia -
Sunday, 16 Mar I've been getting the sharp pains for awhile, in the sides and it feels like they are right over my uterus. It still freaks me out but my doctor said they are nothing to worry about as long as they are not painful cramps with spotting. Its probably just the baby kicking the crap out of your insides!! Be sure to mention them to your doc next time you are in though.
