IT'S A BOY!!!! BRAYDEN LEVI!!!!!!!
Hi All,
It's been a while since I've updated so here goes! I am now 30w 1d and all is fine with me. I had a doctors appointment the other day and although things are fine now, my doctor is worried *or rather I am* that my water will break at home or I will go into labor and not be able to get to the hospital so he told me that he is going to start checking me at 36 weeks (April14th *my Birthday* YAY!!) and if I have any signs what so ever of going soon then he will admit me into the hospital and get things rolling! Our house is so newly built that our address isn't registered on any maps yet so 911 wouldn't be able to find me! UGH!! So, it looks like it may be sooner then we think!! YAY!!
Hope everyone is doing well and progressing with ease!!
Hi Everyone,
We had our level ll ultrasound done and everything is perfect with Brayden! They said I have the results of an 18yr old! YAY!!! I'm so relieved and excited!! I can't believe the stress they put you through when they tell you that your baby could come out with something like Spina Bifida or Downs and then all turn out okay in the end. The genetics Counselor that I had was very nice and worked on things until she found out WHY my results came back positive twice. After much research and tons of questions and looking over information and running the tests again and again they concluded that they had my due date wrong! My NEW DUE DATE IS MAY 12!!!! instead of the 28th!~ That is two weeks! They should have listened to me in the beginning when I told them I knew when my LMP was!!! She also told me that in her opinion they shouldn't even mention it until they have ALL the details and instead of telling mothers they have to have this test done because of something terrible, they should just do everything and then if the odds are against us then they would tell us. Because there is a lot of times where it just should have been left unsaid! I agree! I had a 1:217 risk factor, that was less then a 1/2% chance! That's crazy for doctors to make a big deal out of nothing! I worried my hinny off for NOTHING!! as many of us do!! Okay.. just needed to vent for a second! Hope everyone is doing great!!
PattyHi All,
We had our AFP test done and it came back positive for spina bifida twice! I was devastated! My doctor is sending me to a specialist to have a level ll ultrasound done Tomorrow Jan 8! The cut off level is 2.5 and my level was 2.6 so my Doctor isn't worried at all, she thinks everything will turn out just fine. She says it's really easy to rule out. I guess I will just wait until tomorrow! I'll keep you all updated!
Patty
Hello everyone,
Hey ya'll we had our NT testing done for down's, everything looks great they say and no need for amnio! Thank God! I do not want to be put under a needle that size for nothing!! The baby is growing really well, measuring 1 week ahead. They changed my due date from May 28 to anywhere between May 20 to May 28! I'm not sure what we are having yet but will find out in a couple weeks. I will keep ya posted!!

Thursday, 1 May Hey there. Just wanted to send a quick update. We had our first u/s on Monday and baby (just one) is looking really good. Nice healthy pregnancy the tech said...she's also the same one who was with us when there was no heartbeat for baby last fall. She suggested that we come in every week for a quick scan to put our minds at ease...so we're heading in again on Monday afternoon for another lil peek! So far everythign seems to be moving along nicely - although I've had some pressure in my abdomen last night and today - but not like what I felt when we m/c....there is no spotting, so that's good.
Will keep you informed. How's the lil one? NOTE: Older messages are compressed to speed up the website.
