...............

Congratulations to all the mommies who are pregnant and for all of those who are trying. My page got wiped out so I am starting fresh. I found out I was pregnant unexpectedly. I was on the pill for 7 years and took it normally. I had missed my period the month before but really figured it was due to stress! I had just bought a new house (all on my own) and When i went to the doctors for my normal pap she told me I was preggo! I couldn't believe what I had just heard. Pregnant? Oh my. At first i am not going to lie. I cried and cried trying to figure out what I was going to do. I had a long talk with my boyfriend of 12 years (yes we started dating in 8th grade) and we both decided to keep and raise this baby. Now we are both extremley excited and nervous considering this is our first time.

My Boyfriend and me

15 WEEKS

Well went in for O/B appointment today and everything seems great. All my tests came back negative....and the baby is VERY healthy. I got to hear the heart beat for the very first time, and boy was that amazing to hear!! I have been having sharp pains in my belly button and today she felt the area and concluded I do have a hernia...I don;t know what it is but when she was oushing on my belly button (which is an outtie) I felt l;ike I was going to pass out, she said it will not harm or effect the baby at all so that's great! Oh and my due date is now 4/19/08....the baby is measuring large. I am so excited I also can find out the sex of the little one in 3 weeks! I can't wait... I am so anxious :)

17 Weeks

I am so mad that I can't figure out how to upload my ultra sound picture of the baby on here. Every picture I have on my PC will upload but the one picture I would like to show off.... Oh well. I am feeling a little dizzy at times. I get out of breath easily, but other than that doing well. My heartburn has subsided some so thank god for that!! My belly has finally popped and it seems high to me. It's really hard around my belly button area. I am huge! I have gained 11 pounds and I am always hungry. Latley I have had cravings for strawberry yogurt and cheese. Not together eww.... just two things I have been craving. I try and eat a lot of fruit (which I love) and have een eating cucumbers everyday :) In two weeks I go for a Fetal Survey. a 2 hour scan and hopefully I will be able to detect the sex of this baby.....I really hope so I just am too impatient to wonder and wait :)

It's a GIRL..........

19 Weeks

11/26/07 So I went for my 19 week AFP testing and and obviously found out we are having a healthy baby girl. We are so thrilled. She was very polite and crossed her legs the whole time, untill the very end! Thank goodness she showed herself. She is just darling!

Finally I figured out how to add the picture!Yay!

21 weeks

12/12/2007 Well it's 21 weeks for me...22 on saturday. Time is a flying by!!!! I am finally starting to feel my little princess stirring. It's an odd feeling-sometimes I feel almost like I might me sick, but then it's o.k. I am just happy to know she's doing well. I have gained 17 pounds! OMG sickening. I need to start getting rid of the horrible food and replae it with veggie's fruit's and whole grains. I have been letting my cravings over take me. Craving juice-apple-orange-pinapple-grapefruit....all of it I could drink it all day! Same with sweets especially chocolate, and around the holidays it's hard to deny! Little Miss Addalynn must like it too! ;) I have been tired and emotional-but for the most part I have felt good. I am starting to get nervous about daycare-gosh it's sooooooo expensive!

So here is the bedding I have chosen, I am painting my walls a buttery yellow. I just thought this was so bright and vibrant! I love the animals too!

25 Weeks

12/5/2007- Here I am 25 weeks pregnant. I feel like it's flying by. My appetite had increased sooooo much! I am always hungry. i wake up 3 or 4 times in the middle of the night starving and with full bladder. Not good. In this stage I feel good, but I am gaining so much weight. I just bought pregnancy pilates. I am going to start it this weekend and see how that works. I still have really bad heart burn, and my brain is in lala land, but other than that I feel good. Miss Addalynn is moving around quite a bit, she is kicking me aweful low, near my cervix.... and bladder...aaaahhh the bathroom :) I am longing for the moment I can hold this little girl in my arms and see who she looks like, the person she will become, it's wayyyy too exciting. Finaces are starting to scare me. I barley get by right now, and I budget my money...I don't know how I am going to do it once she gets here. Oh well, we'll figure it out! Daycare is soooo expensive, I just can't believe it.

She's Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adalynn`s birthstory

I woke up that morning soaked and thought I had peed the bed. I changed the sheets and layed back down for about 2 hours, finally at about 6:00 a.m. I woke up wet again! I was like...oh no I think my water broke. Not sure I took a shower and called my mom, seeking her advice...she told me to go to the hospital anyway and just make sure.i didn`t think it was possible because I was 2 months early....I woke my boyfriend up again (1st time because I changed the sheets) He told me to go back to bed, not believeing this was real. On our hour drive to the hospital i started feeling cramps...sooner found out they were contractions. I had nothing ready....no bag packed... nothing. i really thought it was a false alarm. We arrived at the hospital around 8:30, I told my boyfriend to go to work, because I wasn`t sure what was ahppening. My cramps were getting more painful and closer together. I walked into the main enterence alone asking where labor and delivery was. I got there and there was no room for me so they placed me in the admission room. After like an hour finally someone came and checked me out. I was 6cm dialted and contractions were 2min apart. They told me I was having this baby today! 3/3/08...Oh my I wasn`t even due until 4/19/08, I just prayed she would be o.k, she was only 33 weeks. Well shortly after I was checked the labor pains were getting worse, I called my boyfriend and told him to come to the hospital. i think he was in a state of shock. nothing ever works how you plan it. I decidfed I wanted an epidural, after that I couldn`t even feel my contractions. I would descrivbe contractions as really bad menstral cramps, but all over. Finally around 2:45 I was fully dialated. I felt a lot of pressure and told them I fell her down there low, can I push...can I push???? Waiting for the doctor I started pushing, It was amazing! 14 minutes later beautiful Adalynn arrived in this world really early and was 5 pounds... bigger than expected! But she still had some lung issues. After 2 weeks of being in the NICU I finally go to take my beautiful girl home. She is perfect. I was told preemies develop slower and her developmental age doesn`t start unitll her due date. I love her more than life itself!

6 month's -

Adalynn is doing great. She is at a very helathy weight and her height is beyond the average. It is so hard to believe this little girl was a preemie once on oxygen and a feeding tube in her nose, so little and hairy (because of the lanugo) (lol) She is a beautiful little spirit, already she has so much personality. She brightens up my world, my life! Addy is now sitting up on her own and rolling over! her teeth have not come through uyet but she is definatly teething. She Loves animals, i have found whenever my dogs walk near her she smiles in delight. Her smile is contagious. It is just a big toothless gummy grin! She says a lot with her eyes, right now she loves taking out her pacifier and figuring out how to plop it back in the "right" way! She like her jumper/excersaucer, but even more loves to be read to and tries to grab the pages of the book. I can tell she is going to be a very intuitive little girl. Everything interests her and she studies it with her baby blue's. I hope she is filled with happiness and comfort. She is starting to talk quite a bit...still no words, just a bunch of babbling! I love her so much and couldn't imagine my life without this little angel. Thanks Addy for being you!

Welcome to the 7 mnth page. Do not feel alone. My baby still has no teeth, she does not want to eat any solids, she does not want to crawl, but sits well on her own and can stand long periods on her legs with support. Oh, might I add, she still cant sit up from laying down on her back. I just think she is a bit lazy orrrr.... very clever.

here is something that is good to know................ Raise a good sleeper A typical newborn sleeps between 16 and 18 hours a day, and your baby should be physically able to sleep through the night — that is, sleep for at least six to eight hours straight — sometime between 6 weeks and 6 months of age. In fact, by 3 months, more than 90 percent of babies can and do sleep through the night, although they may still have weeks of night waking due to growth spurts or developmental changes. Exactly when this magical milestone happens can vary greatly, depending both on your baby's individual development and the healthy sleep habits you establish. Some hints: Create a consistent bedtime routine. Doing things in the same way every evening at about the same time helps your baby, who can't tell time, get the idea that sleep is expected soon. Example: Bathe, dress for bed, feed, rock until drowsy but not asleep, place in crib. Set the scene for sleep. When you put your baby to bed, the lights should be off and curtains drawn. Use a crib light or a night-light to give you just enough light to see by. Keep the room quiet or use a white-noise machine or lullaby CD to block out sounds from the rest of the house. Don't wait until your baby is asleep in your arms. Put your baby down to sleep when he's drowsy but still awake. This helps him learn to fall asleep on his own, without being rocked or fed to sleep. If he awakens on his own later, he'll be better able to go back to sleep without needing to cry out for you to rock him.

Moving him to his crib was WAY harder on me than him... :) He was fine. I usually put him down when he is already asleep anyways, so he just kept on sleeping. He is sleeping through the night and waking up at about 530 or 6 but I had to wake him up this morning at 7...so i dunno if he was more comfortable or if my husband wakes him when he goes to work...?! But it works well so far!!

Hey thanks! It really was a pretty easy birth. I got very lucky. I had one, maybe two super duper contractions before the drug doc came in.

I replied twice. Ha ha. Shows how distracted I am today. I 'm watching my job-share partner's little boy. He's 3 months and very sweet but I keep running back and forth checking on him and Leah while they both nap and trying to switch out a load of laundry at the same time. They're keeping me on my toes!

leahsmom - Monday, 22 September
yep, he'll be 18 in Feb. We had him a year after we got married, thought we were finished. Decided on one more and had Alec 9 years later (he's 8 now) and thought we were finished. Then, 7 years later John decided we should try for our girl. He had surgery to reverse his vasectomy and we conceived Leah the next month- crazy huh?

Leah had her 3month portraits done at Sears. They were very cute too. It was a great experience- not rushed at all. I did end up spending a little more at Sears for the same amount of pictures and I got more poses at Portrait Innovations.

I am asking for a new camera for Christmas. Mine is also less than 4mp. When I first got it I thought the pics were so great. Ha ha. Now when I see everyone else's it makes me want a new one.

leahsmom - Monday, 22 September
Thanks! They were done at Portrait Innovations. They are a fairly new chain but going nationwide. I loved the quality of the photos and I know that's what really matters. But, the service was soooo rushed. I'll probably use them again though. I want to have all 3 of our kids done together and family portraits too. I wish I could afford to hire someone to do a family photo shoot this fall. Our oldest is a senior so he needs his portraits done too. Hmmmm now that I think about it maybe I will look into that.

Your Adalynn is such a cutie. I bet you take tons of photos of her.
