Hello all...I just found out that I am pregnant last Wednesday (Nov 7th). Took one test with VERY faint double lines. Took another one the next day with even fainter lines. However, the instructions said that it doesn't matter how faint the lines, as long as you have 2 of them then that is a positive answer. So I told family and friends the good news. Then that Friday, I started to spot ) : I was terrified. The doctor told me to be on bed rest for the weekend, and I haven't had any problems since. Thank God. Read on the internet that it was probably implantation bleeding. Anyway, newly married as of Oct 6th, and I do have 3 children already. So I guess I am the veteran at this. 4th pregnancy!!!!

November 19th, 2007

First appointment today, Nov 19th. Since my periods have always been so screwed up they did a sonogram to help determine how far along I might be. All they saw was a sac. No baby. YET!!! The lady that did the sonogram and the doctor seemed pretty confident that it was just because I am not as far along as originally thought. At least gaged by my last period. If you go by that I should be about 6 1/2 weeks. But according to the sonogram I am only about 4 1/2 weeks. Not far enough along to see anything but a sac. So for now, I am going to hold on to that advice. All of my symptoms are still going full swing. Sore boobs, and extreme tiredness. Lucky for me no morning sickness yet or nausea. But with my other children that didn't hit till 6-8 weeks. So I might no be in the clearing of all that. I go back on Dec 10th for another sonogram. Which will put me at 7 1/2 weeks. Then back on the 11th to see the doctor. I will keep the page updated...

December 10th, 2007

Had a follow up sonogram today. Last time I went in I wasn't far enough along for them to see anything but a sac, however today we got to see the baby with little arm buds and little leg buds and of course a beating heart which was exciting. It was 167 beats per minute. It put me from being due 07/24 to 07/19. Which bumped me up from 7 weeks 4 days to 8 weeks 2 days. Sounds good to me. Whatever gets me out of the first trimaster faster!!! Follow up with the doctor tomorrow. However the sonographer didn't seem worried about anything. She did say that it was way too early to see anything like that anyway. I do feel better about seeing a baby in there though...

January 21, 2008

Having a little bit of trouble with my heart. Occasionally I will have high heartbeat along with dizziness, shortness of breath, tunnel vision. Don't know what it's all about. Doctor has ordered that I be put on a 24 hour heart monitor (out-paitent) so I guess I will know some results by the end of the week hopefully!!!

Feb 22, 2008.

Gosh, why I am even on the computer is amazing. My daughter is having her 11th birthday party and my house is full of 11 year olds tonight. Anyway, just a quick update. Had the ultrasound on Tuesday and 75%-80% it's a girl....3rd girl for me, 2nd for my husband. We couldn't be more thrilled. Most likely her name will be Molly

March 1, 2008

Week 20 today....Yeah!!! Half way through. Had a switch of insurance and fortunately was able to switch doctors. My old doctor that delivered my other 3 children didnt take BCBS, so now I am on United Health Care and he does take that...ssssoooo exciting. My other doctor wasn't that bad, just that once you have been with a OBGYN for 11 years, it's hard to switch. Plus the fact that the doctor that I went back to is moving his office and I will be delivering out of Baylor All Saints. For those of you that live in the Fort Worth area, they are completing a brand new womens wing middle of this month. Pospartum will have 2 flat screen TV's, my husband will have his own Full size bed, a mini fridge, and all bedding is outfitted with bedding from Target. Not the basic hospital bedding. I am going on a tour next week and can't wait. As far as the pregnancy, things couldn't be better. Feeling really good. Still getting a little sleepy at funny times of the day. Only problem is that I haven't gained any weight yet. I am not naturally a skinny girl. Started my pregnancy at 160, but now at 156. They are saying that by now, I should have gained 10-15 pounds. So I have been told to eat as much cheese/dairy as possible. Which will be a little difficult as I don't drink milk. Hopefully the prenatel vitamens are making up for that...

March 14th, 2008

Had a doctor's appt today. I finally gained some weight. 4 pounds. I guess that's ok. Technically that puts me back to where I started, so I haven't gained any yet. Good news is that my due date was moved from July 19th to July12. So, good for me. Other than that, pretty routine appt. The heartbeat of the baby is staying around the 140's. Which traditionally means a boy, but I have been told girl. So I am reluctant to purchase anything. Although it's hard. I do have some outfits and everything I registered for, of course, is pink. Hopefully it's a girl. But if not, we will love the boy just as much. (A boy is what we really were hoping for anyway. The ratio of girl to boy in this family is funny)

March 27th, 2008

Little update...Doctor sent me for the FFn test. I had been having some Braxton Hicks that were getting a little more painful day by day. So, I went and did that yesterday and fortunately it came back negative. No bed rest for me and all the doodah I want....(that's what we call sex...lol!) Going back to the doctor on the 23rd of April for the glucose test. Unfortunately though, I gained 3 pounds in 2 weeks. The 4 pounds that I told you about on March 14th caught me back up to where I started the pregnancy, so I have gained a total of 3 pounds so far for the whole pregnancy. I guess that's not bad for almost 25 weeks. I just don't want 6 pounds a month to become a bad habit...

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

Thank you, that is what I was thinking too. I have been on and off the pill for about 10 years and the pills have always been the same color but this time around there are three differnet colors in the pack. maybe the hormones are causing it. anywas thanks!

they say that once you don't feel the effects of the alcohol it's ok to bf again. it's usually about an hour for each drink that you should wait. there's no need to pump and dump as once it's out of your system it's out of your milk.

Once I saw a mouse on my counter too. I couldn't help but scream like an idiot. Luckily, he ran right into the breadbox and I just took it outside. But there was one more. Anyway, I'm writing just to suggest that for your traps, tie a piece of material covered in peanut butter to the trap so he can't get lucky and run away with the bait! Good luck! Oh, and I had two cats also.

she is so cute - and born on my birthday! :-) Is that chair good enough for little ones like ours? My son is 3 weeks older than your daughter.

Is it okay on their little soft spines?

HillaryB - Friday, 22 August
I love this picture. Where did you get the little chair?

You never know with ebay sellers!! Some are honest some aren't!! I paid $125 for this monitor!! Soo could you imagine how upset I was... I wanted to cry thinking this can not be happening again!! Pregnancy hormones still here!! Luckily we'll see when I get this new one.

emarie08 - Thursday, 21 August
I did pay with paypal and I filed a claim. After I filed the claim, the seller became so nice and cooperative probably bc they put a hold on her account(funds). She begged me to close the dispute and she'd send another. I ignored her and this morning I got this email saying she was sending another right away and gave me tracking information and took a picture of the item with todays date, lol... soo I will just wait for it to come before I do anything!! She also said she was hurt I called her a scam! Well, what do you expect?! LOL!! Today should be a better day. I have my 6 week check up!

emarie08 - Tuesday, 19 August
You're LUCKY! My son will sometimes surprise me and sleep from 11 to 5:30 but mostly its from 10 to 2 then to 5:30 BUT he doesn't get up then... he sleeps til around 11 am! Of course I put him in my bed at the 5:30 feeding and he sleeps SOO much better.

emarie08 - Tuesday, 19 August

emarie08 - Monday, 18 August

Oh I think it is the reason. Lizzy always spits up more if she is gassy or has to poop. Then after she poops alot she is ready to eat again. It is weird it is like her body cant do both at the same time. These babys are amazing. I can not wait to find the secert behind them.

roseplus1 - Saturday, 16 August
Peaceful, Lizzy had the exact same night :). My husband was freaking out b/c she generally keeps the same hours. Whenever she can not poop in the mornings she spits up all her feedings until she poops. Does your baby do that?

butrfliefct - Sunday, 10 August
Hey I'm from the 4 mnth page...I used gripe water for about 2 months, I liked it. I did however find that the colic soother from gentle naturals worked better :)

peanutontheway - Friday, 8 August
Audrey will not let me put her down for a second. I was just nursing her and she fell asleep so I thought oh good here's my chance to go to the bathroom. As soon as I got in there she started crying! I came back in the room and laid down next to her again and she fell back asleep. I have to wear a snuggly around the house to get things done. She sleeps in bed with me or else neither of us sleep at all.

nezbit - Friday, 8 August
I got lucky because Blake doesn't cry, he just lays there and look around and before I know it, he's asleep. I would suggest letting her cry for a little bit and try to make it a routine. I feed him in the same place daily and it's like he knows. She may still be hungry or something. Try putting her down and let her be for maybe 10 min. Then if she is still crying, pick her up for a couple and then put her back down, eventually she will fall asleep on her own.

Hi! My baby needs to be held alot too. I can get him to sleep by breastfeeding him but as soon as I put him in his crib he wakes up. soooo frustrating cause I can't do anything while he's awake or asleep!!
