It's been more than a month since I've updated my page. I started spring quarter at OSU and it's already the fourth week of class! I'm still working 20 hours a week but told my boss that starting next week she is going to have to schedule me less. This quarter is really tough, I have a lot of work and it just sucks being on campus everyone looks at me like I'm some sort of alien. Also, I'm having such a hard time focusing on school because all I can think about is June being here so I can see my little Audrey. I went to the Dr. today and have gained 19 pounds. I asked him about Dan traveling so much for work. He said that Dan doesn't need to stop traveling until the week before I'm due. Seems kinda close to me when I told Dan he said the trip he's on now would be his last. He doesn't feel comfortable leaving me alone for a week at a time anymore. I'm really excited about my baby shower it's not until May 24th but went shopping with my mom and Dan's mom and we got a lot of stuff for the shower. I have already had about 10 people RSVP.

What a surprise the last two days have been. A friend of mine was telling me about this place that does 4d ultrasounds. They give you a CD of pictures from the U/S and a DVD of the ultrasound for $125. The session is supposed to last 10 minutes. I thought this sounded pretty good since the tech at my docs was not very sure (about 55%) of what we were having. Well I called them today and they got me in before I had to go to work. She ended up keeping me in the room for about 35 minutes. So we found out for sure what we are having and I got 73 3D pictures, and about a 25 minute movie of our little girl. I can't wait to burn the CD for the grandma's! Check out my pics from the ultrasound!

I have been so busy this week! Next week is the 8th week of the quarter and I have a bunch of midterms to study for and papers to write. I had my Dr. apt. Monday. I have now gained 14 pounds. The nurse said I should not have gained so much weight already. I am not going back to her. Every time I see her she only wants to tell me how much weight I've gained. She asked me if I was snacking on ice cream!! So I told her that for snacks I eat yogurt, fruit, granola bars or nuts and she did not know what to think about that. I also told her I am still doing all my daily exercises I did before I was pregnant. She Sure knows how to make a prego girl feel bad about her weight! Dan and I are talking about getting another u/s to know for sure the sex of the baby. At my last one they said they were only a little over 50% sure it was a girl.

Went to my U/S yesterday with Dan, and my parents. Baby's spine and kidneys looked great. Got to see her perfectly formed lips! She weighs 13 Oz and her heartbeat was 154bpm. She is sooo active! She did a flip while we were watching, and kept opening and closing her mouth. Then when we tried to get a good look at her face she put both hands and one of her feet in front of her face! She was bottom up which the tech said was the hardest way to tell the sex. She (and everyone else with me ) did see 3 white lines. Last time though I swear I saw a little stick! When the tech said "it's a girl" Dan got this huge smile on his face and started laughing. He secretly wanted a little girl I think! So far I've gained 6 pounds. It took a little while but now it's coming on fast! So now I'm off to the store to return the boy clothes I bought.

I have one more week until my 20weeks U/S and I am having a hard time waiting! I do have midterms this week so maybe it will go quicker than I think. I just hope s/he is willing to let us see!

Monday Jan 21st, 2008Went to the Dr. today got to hear the baby's heartbeat again (it's still around 160BPM). Sounds great! She measured my uterus for the first time. Nothing too exciting. Made an appointment for my 20 week U/S for exactly 2 weeks (Feb 4th). I can't wait until then cause hopefully I will know for sure that her last prediction was correct and we are having a little boy. Then I won't have to take anything I bought back. She also said I shouldn't gain much weight until I am 28 weeks along. That seems kinda far along to me. Anyone else think so?

Currently I am 17 weeks 3 days pregnant. My how time is flying! I started my classes last week so I hope they will keep me busy along with working. I just can't wait for my baby to get here! When I was 15 weeks 5 days I had a U/S . The tech thought she saw a little penis ( I did too) but told me not to buy anything until after my 20 week U/S. Of course, I bought stuff anyway but I am keeping the receipts. I would rather call my baby a he when its really a she then call my baby an IT. So far I have gained 2 and 1/2 pounds and am sick of people asking stupid questions.
Some of the stupidest ones include:
When are you going to get fat? (Not fat. Pregnant women are NOT FAT they are pregnant)
Are you buying these baby clothes for some one's registry? (No, myself. Receive confused look followed by next q)You're pregnant? You don't look pregnant. (followed by next q)
So you're in your first trimester? (by this point I lose all hope at being nice)
My doctor says my baby is fine! He's not measuring small he's just right! :)
About Me...
My boyfriend and I have been together for 8 1/2 years. I had gone to different doctors several times for irregular menstrual cycles and they concluded that I had PCOS ( PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome). I was told the only way I'd be able to have children would be with fertility treatment. We were okay with that because we weren't planning on having kids until I finished school. Three weeks ago we got the biggest surprise of our lives! I found out I was 7 weeks pregnant.

7.9 hours ago Audrey Sophia is SO cute! My middle name is Elizabeth so I could pass that down but Im not sure I will. It depends on the first name which we need to think about. By the third pregnancy it seems to go to fast. I want to see the baby but I like to feel the little cutie in me! So I think it is to fast although I am ready to deliver. :P

Thursday, 15 May I am completely on the same page with the milk thing. With my first baby, I accidentally put the milk away in the cupboard. I didn't even realize that I did it until I came home from work and opened up the cupboard. I had to throw out a whole gallon of milk. Good to know that I am not the only one! daisymum2be -

Wednesday, 7 May I dread getting up too...... It's just the initial shock to the back after rolling out of bed! Oh well-- we don't have much longer! mama40 -
Wednesday, 7 May peanutontheway, haven't you got your u/s early in your pregnancy? They should have told you how far you are. Yes, it is possible to have something like period while preggo, but early u/s is pretty accurate in determining dates. later it gets less accurate and can be off couple of weeks or so. mommydearest1 -
Thursday, 1 May about the stretch marck thing...sadly its true! once one little comes its not long until the rest start to show up! i got a tiny little one then literally a week after my stomach had grown lots more!..so gross! however their is nothing that we can do..trust me i tried a went through 2 bottles of cocoa butter a week because i would put on some every hour cause i did not want them to grow anymore!! i cried but then i just learned to accept it and understand that its all for my little angel boy..and i realized what a blessing it is to even have a chance to have kids...cause their is alot of woman that would trade their unstretched stomachs for the opportunity to be mothers! anyway good luck with labor you are a week ahead of me im from week 31!! Thursday, 1 May It's possible you'll get more now that you have one - or you may be lucky like my mom & only ever get that one! (& she was pg 5 times; 4 babies).
I, on the other hand, have a road map on my belly & have since about 4 months. But I don't let it bother me - just a little reminder of what I did for my little one. :) emma1ee -
Tuesday, 29 April hey! first of all, congrats! I read your post about concentrating in school.. I go to Duquesne full time and work 32 hours a week so i know EXACTLY how you feel. None of my professors seem to care that I'm pregnant! Sometimes i walk to class a little late (bc i'm huge and it takes me longer) and once in a while, they'll give me dirty looks. I've tried EVERYTHING to pay attention, I just can't do it. I walk around campus and people will literally pass me and turn around to stare at my belly. But trust me it takes a lot in a women to be able to do what you do so just think about how it will benefit your little one and keep on moving :) hope everything is going well... keep me posted!! ashleyp35 -
Monday, 28 April Hello,
in response to your message. I am a full time grad student and I work full time. This semester is almost over for me to, but I owuld speak with your professors to see if you can finish your classes early. I have finished 2 out of my 3 classes, although I havent had a life for the past couple of months. I would speak with them and just try to finish as early as possible, if the are not sympathetic, I would speak with the deaprtment dean, and explain your situation. boomum -
Saturday, 19 April I bought my almond oil at a health food shop...you know, the kind that sells vitamins and supplements...hope this helps..definitely give it a go! rsum -
Monday, 14 April all the time. I put lotion on them everyday. but they still itch and peel too. I think it is because they are still growing, but maybe it is normal. I don't know for sure. I had that problem for awhile now. angelof08 -
Monday, 14 April OMG I thought I was the onlyyy one having a problem with my nipples itching and drying out (for lack of better words). I've tried lotion myself and that didn't work either. I actually talked to my OB about it and she suggested I try Dove unsented soap that seems to be working the best! Good luck! mommi2b -
