I am currently pregnant with our first child! We are having a baby girl and couldn't be more excited about it! I have a loving husband, great family and friends in which I wouldn't be able to get through this exhausting yet wonderful time in my life. Life is great and I have so much to thank God for!

Hi. I am about to have my 4th child, and if there is one thing i've learned, is that, You worry about the same things with each pregnancy! IMagine that! Only to find out, after, that you couldn't live without that new life you have created! That the change is so beautiful, so drastic, and so perfect. I had my first daughter 1 month before i turned 26, and was the first of all my friends to start a family. So, there were times that i felt left out. They were all still hitting clubs, staying up till 3 partying, and i was home, staying up till 3 breasfeeding and fat. It wasn't till i realized that i had something that they didn't have yet, that i started to feel better. Looking back, the partying i was doing before Gabby, was no good for me or my relationship with my husband, who partied harder than anyone i had ever know. I truely think that it changed us both for the better, and strengthend our relationship. Obviously, it cant be horrible, since we are on our 4th! lol! Everyone goes thru what you are feeling, but someday, you will look back 10 years later, and realize that your life changed right when it was supposed to. THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN BEING A MOTHER! No freedom in the world is worth missing out on this opportunity! Good luck!

I totally know what you mean. This is our first baby, and sometimes it really starts to sink in that your life is going to be SO different. While driving the other day, there was a sign metioning when the first football games would be at the college and I told my husband we should go...only to realize that the first game was only like 10 days after I would give birth. Oh, yeah...we're going to have a baby now and there are so many things that are going to be different! Making plans will now involve three...or if we want a date for just us, we will be making two sets of plans - plans for us and a plan on having someone take care of baby!!

It's perfectly, completely normal to feel that way. When I found out I was pregnant, I cried for weeks. I lashed out at my boyfriend, said horrible things to him, considered killing myself because my life was going to change so drastically. Now I'm almost 32 weeks along and during that period of time, I've come to a few realizations: yes, my life will change, and sometimes it will suck. But how is that any different than normal? And what would my life be like without this pregnancy? I became excited after I thought about that last one... my life was kind of stagnant. I had a decent career and was about to go back to college, but the way things turned out, that program was wrong for me and I would've wasted a lot of money. My boyfriend and I probably would have split up. I'd probably still be doing things I shouldn't be doing. Still, sometimes I do feel really depressed that my boyfriend won't love me as much as he'll love her, or that my body will be wrecked, sex will never be the same, he'll never look at me like a woman again, just a mom... and sometimes I wonder how I'm going to balance my life around a child. I feel a lot more competent now, though, that I can do it. It'll just be a challenge. And I like challenges. Anyway, it's perfectly logical to worry about these things, and I'm getting more and more eager to meet my little girl every day. :) I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone and that you're not weird for thinking these things! Let me know if you ever need to talk.

Sorry I didn't answer right back. i ended up in the hospital again yesterday. I have a severe UTI and they are afraid it might go into a kidney infection. I had to go through all sorts of test. They gave me a new wntibiotic and said if this doesn't start to get better by on I will have to go back and get IV antibiotics. As far as the walking. I usually walk in my neighborhood but I have really slowed down right now. I'm so tired and I've been in so much pain from this UTI. You get really slow down when you get into your third trimester. If you like meeting other Mom's in the area you might want to try cafemom. There is a richmond Mommies group on there. They meet and have different activities. I know there are alot of southside Mommas in that group.

hey in responce to pain meds vs natural!

There is no way in hell i am giving birth without pain reliefe!
I dont want to hate my baby lol. i have the lowest pain tolerence levels as it is so to be honest im quite happy knoing ill say 'GET ME AN EPIDURAL YOU BITCH B4 I KILL YOU' to the poor midwife lol

i dnt think it makes any difference if u have pain reliefe it may make u more tired. which is good coz ill sleep n andy can sit n coo the baby while i snore and fidget away in a hospital bed.

i think atural birth is a nice idea but completely out dated now,

HOWEVER

i am fromt the UK so all pain reliefe and all hospital bills and bed etc etc is free for me i dnt have to pay anythin mayb it makes a difference, i dont know if u have to pay more over in the states for pain killers etc

kalea - Sunday, 30 Mar
I don't want to use meds because I've already given birth once before with nothing and so if I can do it once I'll do it again.

Where in Richmond do you live? I'm in the westend.

sarahA78 - Friday, 28 Mar
I wish we could afford American family. I don't know about pilates but I know there are several Yoga centers around that offer prenatal classes. I have been using a yoga video and walking 2-3 miles a day. I'm starting to slow down now. My lungs are not what they used to be now that the baby is getting bigger. It seemed like forever for me to but now the time is starting to go by quickly. I have about 10 1/2 wks left. Just try to relax August will be here before you know it. When in Aug are you due? My b-day is the 28th.

sarahA78 - Wednesday, 26 Mar

mommynicolem - Friday, 21 Mar
Well, I commend you for still working out. I would love to, but with a 2 year old and how tired I've been, it's just went straight out the window!!

JoAnneMichelle - Wednesday, 19 Mar
In response to your message about how much I'm showing... I was really hoping YOU would have a photo on here so I could compare! When I have clothes on I dont look pregnant at all because I am 5'10' so somehow the bump distributes itself. I can't wait til people on the street start asking when the babys due! I hope you get your bump soon (and I hope mine gets more obvious!)

Miss-Mom-4the1st-Time - Wednesday, 19 Mar

I had very bad morning sickness starting at 4 weeks and getting 1000 times worse when I hit week 9. I was taking Zofran to kill the nausea (which didnt really eliminate it, but made it easier for me to keep food in my stomach). As I entered week 14 I thought I was feeling better, but now I think the sickness it worse since Im not expecting it. Every morning now I feel like I have an overactive gag-reflex and often times brushing my teeth is the trigger to an awful day. Generally I am feeling better, but these random bouts of nausea and vomitting just arent fare! My sympathy :)

aidensmommy22 - Tuesday, 18 Mar
I actually started throwing up even before I was 2 weeks pregnant (which is really 4 weeks). I had gotten sick twice before my period was even due- the real deal started about 6 weeks though- I threw up all day long at least 3 to 5 times daily-- food, water, ANYTHING lol. I had to get IV fluids a few times- it was really difficult bc at that time i was waitressing so the smell of food was so disgusting. It started to slow down when I was about 12 to 14 weeks, and then stopped for the most part by 18-20.
