I am currently pregnant with our first child! We are having a baby girl and couldn't be more excited about it! I have a loving husband, great family and friends in which I wouldn't be able to get through this exhausting yet wonderful time in my life. Life is great and I have so much to thank God for!

Friday, 18 July LOL yeah I've been through a horrible relationship before I met with hubby where the trust was lost and it was hell to maintain. I'll never ever go through drama like that again so that's why i'm like cheat once i'm out. I'm pretty sure there would be a man that wouldn't mind a fly mother like us. LOL. We must always maintain our sexy, even after we become a mother Just to make US feel good.. ^_~
Yeah I hate this feeling of knowing I have to gain weight its frustrating and I loved my figured before I got preggo haha. Military training shaped me up really well haha. My only real complaints about what got bigger are my facial cheeks a little, and the very top part of my arms. Belly of course, but its cute to me sometimes but not when it brings on the back ache whoo.

Saturday, 12 July Oh yeh, i know their totally different, labour contractions i cant breath through but i do scream through, this is my 4th baby n my braxtons are just a slight reminder to me of the real thing. tdotali -
Monday, 7 July I agree, I too try not to be judgmental, but I believe that it's the most natural thing therefore it's the best thing for your baby. There's so much crap in our environment today, I want to avoid filling his body with crap as long as possible. I also imagine that would be easier. The baby gets fussy...plop him/her on the boob:) southernlawgrl -
Sunday, 6 July You milk wont come in till the baby is born. Normally with your second child you begin to leak the clear fluid.. I wouldnt worry at all about it :) soon2Bmommyof3Amy -
Tuesday, 1 July Actually when I went to the chiro. w/ my pain, it was all in my hands and fingers, not my wrists at all, and she said it was carpel tunnel. Either way, she helped it for sure w/ a few minor adjustments. Even if it's something else, if it were bothering me enough, I'd go see one. A doctor isn't going to do much about it like a chiropractor would. It's just a suggestion, hope it helps. Good luck! :) totaltrip -
Monday, 30 June i have the same sensation in my hands and feet. it is really bad in the morning and they sort of ache throughout the day. i read about the carpel tunnel and i am not convinced that is what it is, nothing is numb or going up my arms and i dont do anything repetetive. i think it is just the fluid and the relaxing of ligaments in general. i go to the doc on the 2nd and i will ask here. but it sure is uncomfortable, i feel old and decrepit. firstbabyd -
Monday, 30 June i just saw your post about achey hands and such. i have the same problem and asked my doctor about it on friday. he said it's due to swelling and increased fluid retention. i told him there is a history of arthritis in my family and he was not concerned. he said if it doesn't go away within a few weeks of delivery to let him know and we could set up a time to meet with a specialist. soon2Bmommyof3Amy -
Monday, 30 June You probably have carpel tunnel, which is very common in pregnant women. I'd try going to a chiropractor who can take care of that for ya, pretty much immediately if he/she's a good one. I got it alot during my last 2 pregnancies, not so much this time, but I went to the chiro. and she took care of it for me. That and my achy back and sciatic nerve which you also tend to get when preggo. :) Or if it's just swollen a lot, it could be where the baby's laying on a certain side or a nerve and it's causing you to swell, like your hands being that way when you wake up in the morning. I get that a lot. Anyways, good luck! :0) kathy24 -
Monday, 30 June I just read your post about the achy hands, I have had the achy, swollen, and painful joints in both hands since Fri. They also feel numb through out the day. I have lupus so I know all about the swollen joints but not like this and not usually in the hands. I have a doctors appt tomorrow so I;m going to ask about it! kittenoo7 -
Wednesday, 25 June How are you doing/feeling? Alex and I are doing ok. He's up all day and sleeps pretty good at night. He still only gets up twice to eat. And yet I'm still really tired. Oh well, it's worth it

Wednesday, 25 June i am still reeling with the fact that i actually have a creature growing in there. i cant wrap my mind around that. it is so strange to me. probably because i am older. i cant believe time has gone so fast, it is right around the corner. i have nothing NOTHING ready, half the babies room is storage and i think it needs to stay that way, we are limited on space. i stay at home now and my hubby's job just shut down so we are in broke limbo, i feel guilty for not working but i cant really start something now and didnt feel the pressure of it before. i dont want to work when baby comes and i know that things will never be -the same again!!! EVER!! work = childcare (concept). so yes, i feel overwhelmed too! you are not alone.... i am still amazed every day that this is finally happening...what a trip, hence totaltrip!! arg26 -
Wednesday, 11 June hey how r u feeling? did u get ur results yet? kathy24 -
Tuesday, 10 June I'm starting to get use to the diet and now I'm back to feeling really good, not as tired and a little more energy and my sugar levels are already back down. As far as the diet goes its really just cutting back on the carbs, so your portions size is alot smaller but you get a snack 3 times a day so it makes up for it. I really thought I would be starving but I'm not. I can still eat potatoes which I love but only 1/2 cup of them. The dieticain also told me I could still eat cookies but only 2 a day but go easy on the candy. I can still have ice cream but 1 cup a day and not everyday. They told me to use Splenda instead of sugar. I made some grape kool aide with the splenda and it leaves that natsy aftertaste in your mouth, I would just rather drink water. I love my baby so much and he isnt even here yet so I will change my diet or whatever I need to do to make sure he is healthy! I didn't think I would have another baby, I'm 38 years old and have lupus so the odds wasn't in my favor, so I'm cherising this pregnacy like you wouldn't belive!! kathy24 -
Sunday, 8 June My diet is all about counting carbs. I'm allowed 30 grams of carbs for breakfast, 45 grams of carbs for lunch & dinner. You get 3 snacks a day for 20 grams of carbs. The dietican gave me several different menu choices, so for example for breakfast I can eat a piece of toast with 1 tsb of peanut butter or sugar free jelly or an english muffin,or an eggs or even a bowl of cereal. Its one carb and 2 proteins, morning snack can be 1/2 cup of almonds or cashews, fruit with 6 pretezls or crackers, lunch turkey or ham sandwhich 12-15 chips and fruit or vegetables with dip, or any lean cusine or weight watchers frozen dinner, afternoon snack crackers with cheese or peanut butter crackers or fuit, dinner any kind of meat that is 6oz or less, 1/2 cup of starch (rice or potatoes) vegetables or salad, I can eat pasta as long as its 1 cup or less. Then evening snack you have 3 cups of popcorn or fruit, crackers and cheese. Thats just an example I'm still trying to figure out the carb thing and what all I can eat. I have been drinking all water and today my sugar levels have been in the 80's all day, so I guess I'm doing something right. I'm trying my hardest like you I want the best for my unborn son and will do what ever it takes. Let me know how your doing and take care!!! arg26 -

Friday, 6 June I will keep my fingers crossed for you that you pass the 3 hr tolerance test. The diet I'm on isnt even fair for pregnant women at all!! Let me know if you pass!! kathy24 -
Thursday, 5 June Did you get your results??? I hope for you it comes back normal!!! Today is my second day of counting carbs and I already cheated I had a dr pepper with my lunch! My sugar levels seem to be down quite a bit today so I guess the diet is working if only I can stick to it! They told me to make sure I;m having 3 snackds a day and that is really helping alot. To bad doritios isn't on my list for a snack though! Take care and stay healthy!!! kathy24 -
Wednesday, 4 June My doctor gave me the pills and I take them twice a day, I asked the pharmacy when I got them filled to make sure it is ok to take them she checked and told me the pills are a catorgory B making them ok to take. I have to check my sugar levels 4 times a day and my diet has changed like you wouldn't belive!!! Did you pass the glucose test or have you taken it yet? kathy24 -
Tuesday, 3 June Hey there, I was sleeping alot and had no energy at all. I felt like I was back to the first trimester and I would even throw up and having headaches come to find out I failed my glucose test and have gestional diabetes, I go to see a dietician on Wed and I have to start insulin pills. I have already changed my diet some and I fill a difference in my engery level. I hope you past yours this diet is killing me!! mickyg0606 -
Tuesday, 3 June I was also really tired and found out my iron was low. Obgyn told me to eat iron rich foods and now I feel much better. I would look up iron foods on line and start adding a few to your diet to see if it helps. kittenoo7 -
Monday, 2 June I was almost 38 weeks. It didn't hit me until I got to touch him in recovery. Everybody tells me I took right to motherhood. I don't know, I'm just doing what I think I should do. kittenoo7 -
Sunday, 1 June I actually didn't have any labor. My amniotic fluid was low so they scheduled a c-section. I think God had it planned that way. The day we had him we lost his heartbeat when I was being monitored. I had him a half hour later. My biggest fear was something was going to happen to him before he was born. I had that feeling that something was wrong. So I'm really really glad that we had it scheduled for that day. And he's healthy. He's already gained 1 pound in two weeks. His doctor was impressed.
