Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

did they say how big she was? i am so jealous of everyone that gets a growth scan! I won't get one unless there is something wrong which I guess is a good thing but with both of my kids being 6lbs 2oz at birth i am curious if this one is going to follow suit! congrats on a healty baby!

It could be that you are leaking fluid, that is what happened with me and my first! I went in and I measured smaller than the week before and my scan showed I had low fluid so I guess I had been leaking and not knowing it! Be happy hopefully it means baby is right around the corner!

Just came back from my appt... the doctor said the baby didn't drop... cervix is closed.... I'm having a u/s next Tuesday to see the weight of the baby.... I'm measuring very big for 38 weeks... and he was concerned that the baby is to big that's why I'm having this pains... I did gained 4 pounds since last week and my belly measured much more so he was afraid my body wouldn't be able to handle a normal deliver with a 9 pound baby if I wait until after the 12th of may... he will do the u/s plus he will start putting the gel to open my cervix... witch by the way is very high and he couldn't feel the head of the baby... he is not sure what position the baby is in also... that's why the u/s... if the baby is not head down anymore I might even have to have a c section and it needs to be schedule very soon... if the baby is just to big but in the right position he might induce me next Thursday...nothing is certain yet... he needs the u/s to be sure of all this... so I might have my little peanut next week... I'm so excited!!!

Thank you! Glad to know I'm not the only one! I know that women used to smoke a lot during their pregnancies and yet their babies were just fine, but there's more chemicals in ciggies these days so maybe that's what's changed? I cut WAY down also and I eat like a horse so hopefully everything will be fine. I smoked with my first child also and he's okay. People just keep making comments and it makes me feel horrible. Have a good day!!! :o)

Don't feel bad! I've already gained 30 and I was a size 6 before I got pregnant. There's really not much we can do about the weight gain for the next 12 weeks. Just make plans to eat healthy after baby comes and rest easy until then. I'm planning on cooking and freezing healthy meals before our little one comes so that all I have to do to eat right is pop leftovers in the microwave. :) Hey, whatever works right? Good luck doll hope these next couple of months go by quickly for you!

I'm right there with you on the whole weight thing. I'm naturally a small framed girl and with my first pregnancy 11 years ago I pretty much stayed a skinny minnie. However, with this one I've gained about 22 pounds so far with basically the entire 3rd trimester still to go. :) Scary! Anyways, congrats on your baby girl!

How scary!! One good thing is that if our girls were born now they would have a good chance. My husband grounded our little girl to the womb till at least April..lol Poor thing is not even born yet and already grounded. Get Charlie to have a talk with Lily and tell her that she will be in big trouble if she acts up. xoxo

i hope they didnt scare girly off the site! I LOVE your little girls name. We had a DS scare too but our level 2 ultrasound came back perfect so , i was happy with that. I went to the Docs yesterday and im measuring 29wks.. yikes! lol so i have to have another ultrasound to see if they are gonna move my dates AND that would be so sweet if they did. I know i wont make it till May.. NOWAY..LOL
