Lilypie 1st Birthday Ticker

So my little man decided to make his way into my world a few weeks early! I had a c-section scheduled for July 22 at 8am and hoped he would wait until then to make his entrance. We are right in the middle of a move and I wanted to be moved in to our new place before he came. I guess he just couldn`t wait!! On the morning of July 2 I was getting ready for work and had just got out of the shower. As I was getting ready I felt some liquid trickle down my leg but didn`t think anything of it. I think I thought that I just hadn`t dried myself off good enough! I went to work like normal and a few times throughout the day I would feel like I was leaking/peeing every time I stood up. After the 3rd time of this happening I called my doctor and let her know that I wasn`t sure if my water had broke but that I thought I was leaking. The nurse called back a few hours later and told me I should come in and get checked just to make sure. The moment I got off the phone with her I felt a huge gush and knew that my water had officially broke. Luckily my doctor`s office is only 5 minutes from my job and I was able to leave work and drive there in no time! I was admitted to labor & delivery around 4:30pm. I was having some contractions but nothing too intense. Since I was not in full blown labor I just had to wait for an opeining in the O.R. so that they could preform my c-section. Finally at 9:03pm my little boy was born, kicking and screaming!! I couldn`t believe it when they said he was only 5lbs and 1oz! My daughter was 9lbs 7oz so he is just a peanut compared to what she was. He is perfect!

My first born was also born 12 days post date via a c-section. They started induction with cervidil at 8 days post date( a thursday), but I declined pitocin, because I wanted as natural a birth as possible. So after 4 doses of stronger and stronger gel, (once every 12 hours) I was only fingertip dilated. They did an ultrasound to confirm adequate blood flow was still coming through the umbilical cord, and thats when they saw he was trussed up like a christmas turkey in it! So I decided to wait a day to recoup my energy, and had my section the following sunday. I'm not scheduling a c-section this time...I'm still hoping for a VBAC. My doctor is supportive and said although they will not induce a VBAC at my hospital because of the increased risk of uterine rupture, she is willing to let me go 1 week over my due date to see if spontaneous labour and birth is possible before giving me a c-section.Of course the baby has to be in a good position for birth (occipital anterior). I don't know why anyone would 'worry' that you might go into labour first...you can always have a c-section if you need one, and I'm not in a hurry to take him out...I want to give my baby every opportunity to develop fully as he should. Good luck with your birth!

hahaha, yeah, not very pretty, although he said it was a cervical bateria check, so hopefully it's going up that way and not in the other hole. Plus he said he was going to check my cervix while he was in there to see if I was dilated at all. I hope I don't have to get my butt hole swabbed! That would suck! ;)

packing while pregnant is the worst! I find myself completely exhausted after every box, especially with my hubby away working on the other house. I wanted as much done as possible on the house before move in too, but we have to be out of this apartment on Sunday and teh bathtub is still a mess ( I wanted a new one). Anyways, as much as packing sucks, its only going to get harder as you get bigger. I'd start slowly packing now. Its been so hard sorting out what to keep, throw away, or give to Charity. I have piles everywhere and I cant befieve I only have 3 days left! Good luck with everything!

PRETTIEST MOM
Once you have been hit, you have to hit 5 pretty Moms.
If you get hit again, You will know you are REALLY pretty!
So hit 15 pretty moms on your friends list to let them know they are
pretty!
Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her
down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop
the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important
and happy.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to
make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the
wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
Send this to someone who you think is pretty

I too have had terrible heartburn...wakes me up at night as well and I'm being good and not eating close to bedtime...I can't stand tums, so resorted to taking 'gaviscon type' generic 'non-aluminum' tablets that seem to fizz more than the tums coat...they work temporarily to quell the acid, but it comes back pretty quick...if you hear of anything that works well, please let me know...I will do the same...thanks!
