I am sorry it has taken me so long to write back. We had our baby on May 6th (7lbs 5oz) at 8:34pm and life has been a bit hectic ever since. The birth was so peaceful and serene (post-epidural of course...). We just love her so much and she is such an amazing baby. Breastfeeding is going so well and she is sleeping 4 hours at a time at night. We really lucked out. I am feeling so much better now that she has arrived...I am actually getting more sleep now than I ever did pregnant. How is Preston???

I had a lot of issues breastfeeding in the beginning. I did use the nipple shield which was quite tricky at first but eventually I got the hang of it. It helps if you rinse it in really hot water right before you use it and I'm guessing that someone showed you how to turn it inside out to get it to pull your nipple out. You could continue to pump and try breastfeeding as it is possible that your little one could learn how in the coming weeks and then you could wean him back off of formula if it worked. It just makes me so sad when it doesn't work out for others as it is so rewarding.

About birth control~~How about the depo shot? It's done every three months. Works well for most. I had to stop doing it because I was losing my hair. I went back to the pill and have been fine since.
