My boyfriend of two years and I got engaged on 12/28/07 then on 1/4/08 found out that we are pregnant. What a week that was! This was not planned at all, nor at the ideal time. But we are more and more excited as the shock is wearing off. Now I am swiching from the "what the heck" mode to "is everything okay, what was that feeling!" mode. Never have I had so many emotions at once, I almost feel like a crazy person :)

Yesterday I was getting really anxious that I have not felt the baby move yet, so I went and bought a stethascope (sp?) to see if I cold possibly hear the heart beat or hear my little one sloshing around in there and NOTHING! So as any rational pregnant woman would do, I FREAKED OUT! Called my doctor in a panic so he let me come in to sneek a listen at the heart beat. That made me feel better. I am anxiously awaiting my next U/S on 4/2 where we will hopefully find out if we are having a boy or a girl! My poor fiance must be missing his laid back, non-emotional, alcohol drinking, sex having, non-crying girlfriend! What luck, the guy proposes and his fiance goes crazy!! hehe

Found out yesterday that we are having a GIRL!! She is georgous, amazing, growing, perfect!! Can't wait to feel her move inside of me :)

I completely agree... full bed rest has got to be a killer... but i was looking forward to having the baby come a few weeks early. But in all honesty- it was more for selfish reasons- I'm done with the weight gain and the stretch marks running down my right thigh.

Hey~ Just came back from the Dr. My blood pressure was back at 116 and there was no protein in the urine. I'm allowed to go another week of working 4 hours a day but have to maintain my level of rest. I go back next Weds for my 1st pelvic exam where they check the dilation, efacement and position of baby. Gotta love good news!

I have checked mine thru-out the weekend on my dad's machine and Bro-in-laws... i've been anywhere from 95/59 and 103/60 (I'm basically dead ;) ) all this weekend but I'm not sure if they are calabrated to what my Drs is... But, i go in at 2;20 today to see how things are going. I do get stars in my eyes when i take my morning shower, I get hot flashes like crazy, and have been having LOTS of stabbing pain in my crotch. My mom said her BH were more in her crotch than belly. I'll let you know how things go later this afternoon or tomorrow. Do you have any more info on when you are going to be induced... have they talked about c-section? or can you go vaginally?

I didn't even get time to ask about my baby's weigh/measurment/dropping cause i so surprised my Dr with by BP being 146/90. After laying down for 10 mins, she rechecked it and i was back to my 104/60. I have been bumped to weekly appts too... I'll ask about all those other things on Tues. I'm pretty sure that i haven't dropped but i am carrying VERY low to begin with. Did you Dr feel that dropping can add to the high BP?

HI Pink~ I was told on Tues that i am in the beginning stages of Preeclampsia too. And I'm just as nervous! What did your Dr prescribe for you? I am allowed to work only 4 hour days, then have to lay down the rest of the time. No cooking/cleaning/stress. I go back on Tues to check the BP again and then we'll have a game plan. But, I was told that next Friday will probably be my last day.

First of all it is good to be nervous, to me it means that you are taking the responsibility seriously. It will be a lot of work but you will love it and all doubts will be gone as soon as you see the little face! As for the sex, move it up to the morning, we have weekend morning lovins and it works just so much better when I have energy and don't feel like crap!

Hi there, my doctor told me last week that my baby dropped and is getting into position, and then I had an ultra sound this week and he weighs 3# 11oz. They always tell me his weight at the ultra sounds.

Congrats on the new house! Very exciting! Has he been picking up the slack a little? Doc and u/s tech say all looks good and baby looks healthy but may come early so be prepared. Just hoping to move back to the island before he/she arrives! I'm up to two week appts too but going in with no appt today as I've been having some slight bleeding for the last 12 hours. No cramping, no clots, no contractions. Just another thing to worry about. I checked out your belly pics. You definitely have a little tummy! But as long as your doc says you and baby are healthy, I'd be satisfied with that. Everyone grows differently. Maybe your baby is burrowed deeper than my whale of a kid. I stop work at the end of next week and I'm only working three days a week now so that'll give me time to slowly pack up the house over the next 5 weeks. All the big stuff can be left for boys.
Hope you are doing well still. Try not to make your new place unpacked all by yourself. You've got years to do it!

Hey! I'm feeling really good. Haven't had any pain in a few weeks so hoping I've been stretched to the max and its stopped now! I'm just big and awkward. Tired by 9pm but can't complain with that! We are pretty much set as far as having all our baby stuff. But we are moving from the mainland here back to Victoria on Aug 1st so we have to pack it all up and move three weeks before theh baby arrives, and my doctor says he/she is coming early as there is extra fluid around the baby. Cutting it close I think! Good thing our last prenatal class is tonight...at least I'll have that done! Just starting my second to last week at work and these last two weeks are both just 3 days each so I'm pretty excited about that and it will give me some more time to pack up the house and to get things rolling. Gotta try to figure out this mat leave thing too. How confusing!

I can totally relate! My hubby and I are moving in a few weeks and I have just about everything packed - but with no help from him! My mom came over and did everything with me - she was a life saver because I got so tired so quick and my hubby didn't help at all - he sat in the kitchen and worked!! Must be a man thing - he's at least moving the nicely packed boxes. He won't let me lift anything!

We are in the process of trying to sell our first home (been in it almost 7 years) and getting a bigger one, but selling market is slow so I'm preparing the one I have now by getting rid of tons of crap and packing up anything we don't need. I'm 22 weeks and 4 days and I've gained between 10 and 12 pounds so far.
But I'm sure your weight gain is normal for your body. My cousin only gained 11 pounds her entire pregnancy and still had a 7 lb 10 oz baby boy. So everyones different.

lol! I told the ladies here at work and one of them said that is grounds for divorce! The hubs just doesn't get it. I told him it wasn't a very nice thing to say and he didn't get WHY it wasn't!! I was like, hello - am I really so freakin huge to you!!!
