My boyfriend of two years and I got engaged on 12/28/07 then on 1/4/08 found out that we are pregnant. What a week that was! This was not planned at all, nor at the ideal time. But we are more and more excited as the shock is wearing off. Now I am swiching from the "what the heck" mode to "is everything okay, what was that feeling!" mode. Never have I had so many emotions at once, I almost feel like a crazy person :)

Yesterday I was getting really anxious that I have not felt the baby move yet, so I went and bought a stethascope (sp?) to see if I cold possibly hear the heart beat or hear my little one sloshing around in there and NOTHING! So as any rational pregnant woman would do, I FREAKED OUT! Called my doctor in a panic so he let me come in to sneek a listen at the heart beat. That made me feel better. I am anxiously awaiting my next U/S on 4/2 where we will hopefully find out if we are having a boy or a girl! My poor fiance must be missing his laid back, non-emotional, alcohol drinking, sex having, non-crying girlfriend! What luck, the guy proposes and his fiance goes crazy!! hehe

Found out yesterday that we are having a GIRL!! She is georgous, amazing, growing, perfect!! Can't wait to feel her move inside of me :)

First of all it is good to be nervous, to me it means that you are taking the responsibility seriously. It will be a lot of work but you will love it and all doubts will be gone as soon as you see the little face! As for the sex, move it up to the morning, we have weekend morning lovins and it works just so much better when I have energy and don't feel like crap!

Hi there, my doctor told me last week that my baby dropped and is getting into position, and then I had an ultra sound this week and he weighs 3# 11oz. They always tell me his weight at the ultra sounds.

Congrats on the new house! Very exciting! Has he been picking up the slack a little? Doc and u/s tech say all looks good and baby looks healthy but may come early so be prepared. Just hoping to move back to the island before he/she arrives! I'm up to two week appts too but going in with no appt today as I've been having some slight bleeding for the last 12 hours. No cramping, no clots, no contractions. Just another thing to worry about. I checked out your belly pics. You definitely have a little tummy! But as long as your doc says you and baby are healthy, I'd be satisfied with that. Everyone grows differently. Maybe your baby is burrowed deeper than my whale of a kid. I stop work at the end of next week and I'm only working three days a week now so that'll give me time to slowly pack up the house over the next 5 weeks. All the big stuff can be left for boys.
Hope you are doing well still. Try not to make your new place unpacked all by yourself. You've got years to do it!

Hey! I'm feeling really good. Haven't had any pain in a few weeks so hoping I've been stretched to the max and its stopped now! I'm just big and awkward. Tired by 9pm but can't complain with that! We are pretty much set as far as having all our baby stuff. But we are moving from the mainland here back to Victoria on Aug 1st so we have to pack it all up and move three weeks before theh baby arrives, and my doctor says he/she is coming early as there is extra fluid around the baby. Cutting it close I think! Good thing our last prenatal class is tonight...at least I'll have that done! Just starting my second to last week at work and these last two weeks are both just 3 days each so I'm pretty excited about that and it will give me some more time to pack up the house and to get things rolling. Gotta try to figure out this mat leave thing too. How confusing!

I can totally relate! My hubby and I are moving in a few weeks and I have just about everything packed - but with no help from him! My mom came over and did everything with me - she was a life saver because I got so tired so quick and my hubby didn't help at all - he sat in the kitchen and worked!! Must be a man thing - he's at least moving the nicely packed boxes. He won't let me lift anything!

We are in the process of trying to sell our first home (been in it almost 7 years) and getting a bigger one, but selling market is slow so I'm preparing the one I have now by getting rid of tons of crap and packing up anything we don't need. I'm 22 weeks and 4 days and I've gained between 10 and 12 pounds so far.
But I'm sure your weight gain is normal for your body. My cousin only gained 11 pounds her entire pregnancy and still had a 7 lb 10 oz baby boy. So everyones different.

Hey Pink! Yeah I'm in the same boat...no mistaking I'm pregnant now! Somethings are getting tough...shaving and painting toenails...but doing pretty good for the most part. I'm so curious about who's in there! Lost of movement and no matter what is going on in my life, those kicks and nudges make it all ok! And surprisingly enough, Daniel has done a few things to help me out around the house! He still takes his sweet time and drives me nuts...but in the long run I'm trying to learn that it doesn't matter if all the shirts aren't folded my way...I didn't have to do it! We're going away for the long weekend so I did all the packing and will probably have to do all the unpacking while he "just rests and watches tv cause he's so tired". A few times I'm like, ok, I can't carry this, please help...and he will. We'll see. Baby kicks make me smile though!

LOL I just have to say I loved the comment you left to MrsMurphy. When I read what she said I was kind of offended. I'm not a small or large person average I guess. From what I've heard from my NP and others who have had babies my weight is really good. So I will say Thanks for sending an eye opener message to her.

I had this same issue- baby moving lots for a few days and then the next two- barely nothing. My Dr. said that is normal but that you should always feel at least a bump or two. She suggested drinking something very cold and sit in a quiet place where you can focus on the movement. I also heard that if you drink a 7up/Sprite as quick as you can, it will wake the baby up and get it moving. If you aren't feeling any bumps- call your Dr/nurse. They understand.

I worked out and did abs the whole time i was pregnant with my last child and also with this one. When you get bigger the big ball is really good to use,it helps with the back. My husband is a trainer and he keeps me in shape and in the gym and it helps me so much. Good luck with everything.....

I'm so sorry you're finding it so hard. I understand what you mean about not being able to live in a mess, but for me it is truly physically impossible to keep up with the cleaning so I don't really have a choice. Tonight after reading what you had written, I asked for a foot massage, just to see what he would say....he replied saying he wanted a certain other part of his body massaged. Yeah right. But he did do the dishes with out me even asking, I was in absolute shock and started to go get the camera but didn't want to discourage him or perhaps snap him out of a trance. Perhaps all us moms to be with difficult partners should get together and give each other foot rubs!
