How`s my pregnancy doing?

Hi, i'm 28 years old, soon to be 29 in Aug this is my first baby, my partners 3rd. Me and my partner made the decision to move in together at the begining of the year, but couldn't actually do it until the end of March (he needed to get his driving licence back long story) As of the 1st of April it was offical that we we're living together, then surprise surprise on the 9th April, the line went pink, I was in total shock fully expecting it to be negative and that my body was playing tricks on me, everytime I told someone I kept expecting them to say no your not it was a false postive, but almost 6 months down the line we're still here and very much looking forward to our baby boy arriving. He'll be a nice 2 year aniversary present for us both.

Madame Zaritska's reading

Madame Zaritska, our resident clairvoyant, wants to help you prepare for the arrival of your child. Here she does her best to predict certain aspects of your labor and birth experience.

What she senses for you
The day you deliver, outside will be cloudy. Your baby will arrive in the evening.

After a labor lasting approximately 22 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 6 pounds, 4 ounces, and will be 17 inches long. This child will have hazel eyes and a little patch of brown hair.

Hey there! I read your post in regards to working and maternity leave. I live in Ontario, Canada. Here we can take leave and it lasts for 1 year. However, if you have any sort of complications(which I did), you can take sick leave until your due date, fully paid, and then have your maternity leave kick in after the baby is born. So all in all, not to shabby:)
Is the six months for your leave standard right across the UK? It seems like so little time to get to know your new one!
I'll ttys~

hi the spd is just as bad think im stuck with it until baby arrives, not at physio until tuesday so will get a belt and that then. i know midwife r rubbish these days, how they dont even do home visits much anymore either. theres two hospitals here, one is meant to be a really good experiance its just midwifes no doctors, no epidural, just natural birthing thing, and pools and stuff the hospital it lovely too. the other is our main maternity hospital and as far as iv seen and heard it look pretty good too! so not sure what to choose, just worried incase i go to the natural one and i need a c-section or something then id have to get rushed to main one?! i see my midwife tomorrow which im looking forward to to ge measured! hope u r well and ok x x

Yeah it did, but my right leg has been swelling now! It is so swollen that You cant even tell I have ankles! LOL. And on top of that my dr must have been having a bad day. He was very rude and did not even check me for swelling like he usually does. He was in and out in less than 2 minutes. He did not even give me a chance to ask questions.

Hi. Thanks for the info on the anti-d shot. I'm relieved to know this one shot I won't need. I already have to have blood drawn every 4 weeks. This is a bit much for a needle phob such as myself! The Madame Zaritska reading on your profile is interesting. I'd like to her what she has to say about my baby.

uhmanduh - Wednesday, 3 September
i just got my shot last week and it doesnt hurt at all. they give it to you in the hip. im a big baby when it comes to shots but the nurse was talking to me while giving me the shot so i wont think about it. :) the glucose screening is what scared me i hate getting my blood drawn but its was ok after it was over :)

Yeah feeling better, was at work today so its kind of taken my mind off things. Although the codeine has made me feel a funny.I felt almost drunk, and a bit dopey.

Hi, thanks for your comment about my scan pictures. He is so perfect . We decided the day before the scan that we would find out the sex. I think I would have known by looking at his little face anyway as he looks like his daddy (same nose and shape of chin). It was really cute!!

I'm getting a bit nervous now too. Time has passed so quickly !! It'll be nice when you get your nursery done. It's a nice feeling to look at the room and imagine your baby in it!! xx
