Friday, 28 Mar most women get the baby blues soon after having baby. Completely normal. If you have these feelings for more than a few days I'd let your dr. know. It is nothing to be ashamed of so don't be shy about telling dr. how you feel. Postpardom dep. can be very serious. Hopefully you get over the blues in a few days. take care:) and congrats on your baby. momat40ty -

Saturday, 22 Mar I have felt it as well. But considering we are sleep deprived and so many shifting hormones I am not shocked. It is common. As much as 50% of women go through postpartum depression. Try to rest and take care of your self. If after a week you are still feeling that way the doctor will probally prescribe antidepressants. Some docs won't wait that long so it would be best to just call and talk to one of the nurses at the office. I started taking zoloft a few days after my Erin was born. Unfortanely I got the stomach flu within 12 hours and I stopped taking it so I could be sure it wasn't the meds. But it easiest. I am still nausious as can be. I will start again after I get over this. Good luck to you and your baby. mommy2boys -
Friday, 21 Mar You should call your doctor right away. They can help you and you should know you are NOT alone! MANY women go through a down time after giving birth. You are so exhausted and there is such a large shift in hormones. Your world has changed a lot in just a few weeks, and it's okay to have the feelings you are having. I found myself just staring at my first son when he was born and thinking that maybe he didn't like me...I didn't understand why I would feel like that but then at about 5 weeks he smiled for the first time and that was all I needed!!! I've been smiling right along with him ever since. It's hard, but you will get through it. Keep your head up! Good luck! momof2oneonway! -

Friday, 21 Mar Thank you for your name suggestion and I agree Oliva is very pretty. I also like it spelled Aliviah. And like I said Lillian is pretty, but after doing some reseach Lillian and Oliva are on the top 50 list. I have a feeling Juliet is going to be her name :) Thanks again and Congrats on your little bundle of Joy! what did you name her? MzMommy2B -
Thursday, 20 Mar PLEASE go talk to your doctor ASAP. It is post partum depression. I happens to A LOT of women, and can be easily contained and will go away eventually. If you just 'let it be' without seeking help, things can and most likely WILL get worse. Your daughter is gorgeous by the way. You should be very proud to be the mother of such a beautiful baby girl. Good luck mommy! 1stbaby0308 -
Thursday, 20 Mar I agree with the other mom's, please go see your doc as this could be serious if it continues or gets worse. They'll help you out... thesweetestthing -

Thursday, 20 Mar You need to talk to your doctor fast! Its called post partum depression. It is a very serious thing and happens to a lot of women after giving birth. I would go talk to your doc. They will probably put you on something for a couple weeks and then everything will be fine! Good luck! amberandjoshsbaby -

Friday, 7 Mar Hi--one suggestion for a middle name is 'Anne/Ann'. It seems to work with Mia and Malinowski. Just an idea....it works with a lot of names. Leave a message for pippy in the right column where it reads `Add comment`
