Hello! My name is Becky and I'm married to Andy the love of my life and have been for 9 years. We recently lost our beloved Dalmatian"Mr Mojo Risin" on 3rd July, he was 14 years old and he had a good life but I so wanted him to be around when the little one came.

This pregancy has been wonderful and scary at the same time and we can't wait to find out the sex, we should know this time next week. We both think we are having a boy so time will tell. We were wrong it's a little girl :)

We are both from the West Midlands, England and are currently living in Saudi Arabia. Still getting used to the 45 degree heat and having to cover myself in a black cloak everytime we go out the village but life is an adventure and it all adds to the experience.

Congratulations

to all you mom's out there and tummy rubs to everyone!

Love

It's a gorgeous little girl!!!!!...say hello to Miss Pip (19 weeks & 6 days)

We have decided on Miss Pip's name:

Naima (na ee ma) means bounty from god, it's also the name of my doctor and will remind my daughter that she started her life in the Middle East.

Holly - She will be born in December and we love Christmas sooo much

I'm starting to think about the nursery and have choosen this fabric for the curtain tiebacks, the bunting with her name on and the large cushions in the shape of her first initial. The furniture is light pine and I've had the walls painted cream. The bedding is cream and I've choose the teddy's wash day range from mothercare as the little vests have spots on them too!

33 weeks

Hi,

thanks for checking in, Jennah is so much better, we had so much fun the past couple of days. I think we are out of the woods...
I can truly say that I am starting to enjoy the whole parenting experience, she is very alert and even starts to enjoy short car rides or her stroller! I can't even remember the last day she fussed all day. She has turned 3 month yesterday! She has been also sleeping through the night with 5-8 hour stretches at a time. I guess things just fall into place after a while... The only thing which did not change, she still breastfeeds every two hours during the day. I think maybe this is her schedule, she will not go longer than 2 and a half hours!! How are the two of you? Any travelling plans?

Hi there,
Yes, she is better no doubt, today she was extremly fussy but there are always times where I can distract her. My pumkin is probably a bit fussy by nature!! I had a few outings with her the last couple of days and she was actually in a good mood! We are travelling to Europe and the States in two weeks and I am a bit nervous about the long flights... Jennah will turn 3 month on Thursday, wow times runs. She sleeps now anywhere from 3-6 hour stretches at night, feeding stays at around 2 hours a day, I am still breastfeeding and will continue doing so. What is up with the two of you? There must be fun at that age, my friends daughter is 5 month and they seem to interact a whole lot...too cute!!

Hi there,
I am glad you ask me this week how everything is going and not the past two weeks, which were awfull. She was so fussy and colicky, I could not leave the house. Well, now she is 9 weeks and I am seeing a huge improvement, I think the worst is over. She seems to be able to play longer and occupy herself, the fussyness is down to maybe an hour per day!! I know we will probably still have some rough days, but I am enjoying her so much more and feel we have really bonded these past days!! I don't believe any longer she has reflux, she was just colicky and overtired. I am trying to put her down every two hours and although not always successful it really made a difference in her mood. It is such a guessing game with these little ones.....
I have noticed yesterday that my girl has already developed sleep associations, I usually rock her to sleep. I am doing a little sleep training today, to put her down when still awake and oh boy.... I had to pick her up, rock her and put her down at least 6-7 times, but she finally is down for her nap. Yipehh!! Yesterday, after about 15 times I gave up because my girl got so distressed that she decided she is no longer sleepy and skipped the nap altogether!!
I never called the lactation lady, I have to pick my battles and I just totally breastfed on demand, even if she appears to be hungry after an hour during the day. At night we are making small improvements, Jennah sleeps the firts two 2-3 hour stretches in her crib and then she has two 4 hour stretches with me in bed. This way she is getting used to the crib and we are getting much needed sleep. It is a compromise, but I can live with that.
The only other thing that bothers me is the fact that Jennah hates driving in the car, she starts to scream 5 minutes into every ride, nightmare. I think she is too small to realize that we are driving somewhere and is just bored after a few minutes.... I so hope that changes....
Wow, here you have the full update, so much has happened, a few victories, a few compromise and new challenges, there you go.....
I also have a questions for you, I am planning to travel with my baby to Europe to see my family when she is 4 month old, do you think judging your baby this will be possible without too many problems?
Take care, Chris

Thanks a lot for the number, I will give her a call, this will hopefully shed some light on the subject of breastfeeding!!!
My girl has been fussy all day long, I guess she does have colic!!! She would fuss throughout the day but the past two days she would have a meltdown from about 5 to 8pm, she would scream hert little head off for no apparant reason. My husband travels througout the week, so I have to endure the attacks by myself! This is so hard, everybody wants a happy baby, I can't wait for this to pass. Sad I cannot enjoy my baby during these moments. When did Naima outgrow this phase???
Sorry, I had to vent....

ChrisMommy - Monday, 28 April
I read that if you wonder if your baby has colic, it is probably just normal infant fussiness. My baby does not have set times, she just has a day or two where she would be grumpy all day, nothing would bring her comfort or would make her happy. These days are exhausting!!! But we also have days where she cries for only about 30 min to an hour total, so no I don't think she has colic. I still have to say I can't wait until that fussyness is over, it is hard to bare. Bless your heart, colic is so hard for parents. She has a lot of stomac aches, that's why we get the colic diagnosis.
Breastfeeding, I have so many questions and am so unsure about so many things, is my baby getting enough to eat ?(she often acts hungry after the breast), my doc said I should stretch out the times between feedings which is impossible for me, she screams her little head off!! She feeds for about 20 minutes and than sleeps for two hours. That is pretty much our schedule day and night. So, yes. I would benefit from somebody who can answer my questions and concerns, please pass the number on, maybe I get more confident about the whole breastfeeding thing.
I see from one of your pictures you guys visited BAH. Your girl is also super cute!

ChrisMommy - Sunday, 27 April
I told two pediatricians about Jennah's symptoms and both of them are insisting it is colic, that seems to be the standard diagnosis in the ME. I am breastfeeding at the moment and have just introduced bottles, we will see how that goes. Last night I slept only 2 hours, she was restless and crying the entire night after feedings. Looks like I have to wait for the magical 3 month mark to arrive!!
