How do you think breastfeeding causes the rash because I also breastfeed? I usually try and wipe her face with a babywipe everytime I change her diaper... it just gets worse when she sleeps... it seems like whatever side of her face she lays on thats the side that breaks out the worst... its spreading further... I have no clue what to do... if you find anything new please let me know...

I don't always switch mine at night either,... mainly because I'm afraid that I'll fall asleep and my husband will roll over on the baby. :-) But I haven't had problems with engorgement since the first week (which almost bothers me.) I weighed in Saxon yesterday just to make sure that he was getting enough milk, and it said that he was up to 11.2 lbs now, so I guess he's doing alright. Well, I told the 3 older kids that I'd take them swimming today, so I guess I'd better head out before it gets too close to naptime. I hope you're doing well! :-)

Good to hear from you. Wow, down 30 lbs +. Thats awesome. you'll be your tiny little self again in no time. Are you gonna post any more photos of your little sweetie? I'm sure you are really busy but it would cool if you could keep writing blogs on whats going on now that he's here for us inexperienced new mommies behind you. I'm so curious and clueless as to what my little girl is going to be like and look like, it is just such a mystery. Hard for me to believe still that I have a little person in there! How long do you have off work?

Wow! Your baby is a month old now! Time flies once you actually give birth. Saxon will be 7 weeks old on Friday. I'm still breastfeeding him, but had to give him a few ounces of rice cereal today because I just couldn't fill him up for some reason. (He's been asleep for 4 hours since I gave it to him, so I guess it did the trick!) I hope that everything's going well for you. How are you feeling? Are you still breastfeeding?

I hope so too! I kept hearing about the "magic" of baby wise & when I saw that article I nearly fell over. I want my baby to learn to depend on me when he needs me not to feel abandoned when he has no other way of communicating. I just think it's so cruel not to respond to a crying baby, especially when they're this young. Anyway, just my 2 cents. Have a good 4th!

we had a boy on the 25th Pixie! I'm so much in love. We got to do it all natural too! I didn't even to have to do Pitocin. I hope you and "Gem" are doing well. We named ours Aidan James.

When Saxon's cord was barely hanging on, I kept a bandaid over it for the last 3 days because I was so afraid of snagging it on something. It came off when I was about to put a new bandaid on. He still doesn't seem to care for his baths now that I can put him in the warm water. Actually, the last time, he didn't really start screaming until I picked him up to dry him off. You would think the water would make them feel relaxed.... :-) Oh, and my husband said that since the baby sleeps so much better in the daytime than at night, then maybe I should wait until early in the morning to go to bed (which almost sounded like a good idea until I thought about the other 3 kids waking up at 7 am.) Oh well... :-)

Thanks Pixie! She is such a sweet baby - I am so in love all over again! Hope things are going well for you and your little angel. He is one of the prettiest babies I have ever seen! How is breastfeeding going for you? I had a lot of trouble with my first but ended up hanging in there and really enjoyed the experience with all of my kids. If you have any questions or run into any problems I've probably experienced them so feel free to ask!
