I hope so too! I kept hearing about the "magic" of baby wise & when I saw that article I nearly fell over. I want my baby to learn to depend on me when he needs me not to feel abandoned when he has no other way of communicating. I just think it's so cruel not to respond to a crying baby, especially when they're this young. Anyway, just my 2 cents. Have a good 4th!

we had a boy on the 25th Pixie! I'm so much in love. We got to do it all natural too! I didn't even to have to do Pitocin. I hope you and "Gem" are doing well. We named ours Aidan James.

When Saxon's cord was barely hanging on, I kept a bandaid over it for the last 3 days because I was so afraid of snagging it on something. It came off when I was about to put a new bandaid on. He still doesn't seem to care for his baths now that I can put him in the warm water. Actually, the last time, he didn't really start screaming until I picked him up to dry him off. You would think the water would make them feel relaxed.... :-) Oh, and my husband said that since the baby sleeps so much better in the daytime than at night, then maybe I should wait until early in the morning to go to bed (which almost sounded like a good idea until I thought about the other 3 kids waking up at 7 am.) Oh well... :-)

Thanks Pixie! She is such a sweet baby - I am so in love all over again! Hope things are going well for you and your little angel. He is one of the prettiest babies I have ever seen! How is breastfeeding going for you? I had a lot of trouble with my first but ended up hanging in there and really enjoyed the experience with all of my kids. If you have any questions or run into any problems I've probably experienced them so feel free to ask!

I'm glad you're feeling well. I'm feeling a lot better now than I was a couple of weeks ago. I love what Saxon's hair looks like right after I wash it! (It sticks up into a little mohawk.) His cord is gone now, so I gave him a real bath today. I don't think he liked it really well though. He must be going through a little growth spurt because he woke up every single hour last night to eat, so I'm halfway delirious. :-)

Hey! I finally got to read your birth story. The same thing happened to me with my first child. Ezra is absolutely adorable! And I love the polka dot outfit that you have him in. I hope that your hormones are getting to you too badly. I know that I never feel too well about 2 weeks after I have my babies. Everything makes me cry and I don't really feel like doing anything. Hope you're doing well, and I can't wait to see pictures of your little guy. :-)

Awwwww, he is so beautiful! Im sorry the birth didnt go as planned but thanfully modern medicine is available for situations like this huh? My mom had easy births so I am hoping I will too but who knows? Im just gonna have to wait and see like everyone else. Did you feel like your doula was a big plus? I am wondering if I should hire one. How much do they charge?
