oooo re bonnets, reason I ask is a friend of the family gave one to cadence and it came with a scroll that basically says "you wear this home from the hospital and put it away until your wedding day then with the removal of a stitch or 2 it is a hanky and your something old for your wedding day." damn thing made me cry... unfortunately with our situation she never wore it home so I put it on her and took a bunch of photos... they are pretty funny!

Hi! Nice to hear from you, what a nice new pic you have! Cadence is pretty good. I'm not sure what her weight is right now I was going to take her to get weighed this week but she has her check up next week and figured I'd wait. I suspect she's at the very least 9.5lbs. Even though she seems like she can never get enough food, she fills a ridiculous number of diapers and is definitely getting chubbier and heavier! Yesterday we had a bad afternoon/evening, she jsut wouldn't go nap so I ended up cluster feeding her a bit in the evening... it paid off becuase she slept from 9:45-1:45 then from 2:20-5:30, I put her back down after hte 5:30 feed with her eyes open and she went back to sleep and is still sleeping (it's 8:15) unfortunatley I have been having this weird and nasty pain on my right side that woke me up at 7am so i'm not sleeping in! It's feeling better now, but yikes! I hope it's nothing, if it doesn't bother me again I'll wait till her doc appt to bring it up to tdoc. that's so nice the Erin is sleeping 5-6 hour stretches consistently, I imagine the formula helps her stretch a bit which sometimes makes me tempted to formula feed, but I promised myself I would not do formula till 8-12 weeks so I'm trying to stick it out! I'm glad the gassy phase passed! what is Mylicon? Cadence has trouble with gas pains so I might try that! I'm going to go check out your pics right now! bfn!

I weigh Rose by getting on the scale with her and then getting on by myself and subtracting the difference. Measuring her length is harder as she's pretty squirmy!

I think she looks a lot like her daddy! SHe has my lip shape and maybe my big nose! Her hair's coming in reddish ,but we still don't know the color.

If Erin is content, you're doing a wonderful job! Do you have any new pictures? I'd love to see her.

Rose is now sleeping for a 5 hour stretch every night from midnight until 5! I feel so so lucky. If she sleeps from midnight until 6, it will be absolutely perfect.

Rose is eating and gaining just fine. She's now 8 1/2 pounds and 21 inches long...a long, skinny bean! How big is Erin?

Hi! Construction will be done... ooo next JUNE but the drilling is moving away from us. we are the 9th floor and I saw the platform FINALLY move to the 11th floor so at least for a while the drilling will be ambient instead of right at my head LOL! I started training C yesterday to not go to sleep at the boob! she has been using me as a pacifier and I hve let her just because it's easy... but I know i'll pay so I finally gave her a regular pacifier and she gives me the look of death when i force it on her but it does help calm her down if she's fussy. Thankfully today she has gone down for a nap (should be waking annnyyy minute) so she should be a happier kid tonight. the last 2 days she didn't sleep during the day much and was a nightmare all evening. So sorry to hear about your headaches, that really sucks and must make it so much harder to be patient with crying and lack of sleep that's for sure! Hopefully something can be done to accomodate you for work! I'm dying to know how much Cadence weighs, she was 7 11 last wednesday and I'm hoping to get her weighed next week. Once she's 9lbs I'm going to start stretching her nighttime feeds to every 4 hours so I can have a bit more sleep. yawn! 5 weeks already hey? wow... mine just had her 2 week bday good thing is I can hit all you girls up for info on what to expect!

Thanks! but they are STILL drilling! arg! they are 2 floors up so once there is one more floor buffer it should be more bearable. It took me forever to put her to sleep! She's doing pretty good, now that we are home I feel like we can finally establish some routine so that should help, i've been letting her 'fall asleep at the boob' a lot and I need to break those habits ASAP or else I'm going to be in trouble! Mommy is good... tired... I can't nap during day because of the drilling so the 4 hours a night just isn't cutting it. She cried on and off last night from 6:45 to midnight! I had her in a nice coma after dinner and gave her to chris to snuggle and he decided that it would be a good time to 'interact with her' and that was it... would calm her get her to sleep then she'd wake up and start crying all over again. It's weird because it only happens every other day or so that she gets herself in a state and then can't fall asleep. How is Erin doing? I can't believe she's more than a month old already and mine is only 2 weeks!!!! How are you doing? any thoughts on what you are going to do when it's time for work to start?

I am finally home! After 2 weeks of hotels... relatives and a lot of BS I finally got to take my baby home! I am really looking forward to getting reconnected with you all I've missed you all like crazy!!! Jo

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry about your c-section complications! I had a friend that had that happen, and I know it's a lot to struggle with.

Rose also spits up sometimes. I wonder if it's something I'm eating. I thought that breastfed babies weren't supposed to have gas or spitups, but she has since birth.

How old is Erin now?

Thanks for your comment. I never knew that a small thing like having my son sleep in his own room would be such an issue. Ha! I think I'm going to start putting him in his room and sleeping upstairs in the guest bedroom so I'm close by and not downstairs on the other side of the house. Baby steps for me!!!! I think it's always more for the parents than for the child. What does he care which room he sleeps in! Plus, I think its better to do it now before he's old enough to know that he's without mommy and daddy!

Last time Rose was weighed she was only 7 and 2. She was 21 inches...long and skinny!

She'll be a month on MOnday and I think I'll weigh her on the scale.

¸Hi!! great to hear from you. I`m feeding my little one at my mom`s computer and she`s passed out between suckles so I figure i have time to type lOl!! It was rough for me but all worth it. I`m prett tired tho especially because of the long labour and the fact that I`m pretty much on my own so sleeping has not been an option. I`m at my folks but they are away. I had 1 hr to nap adn their door bell rang 2ce, the phone rang my cell rang and Cadence woke 20 min before schedule ARG!!!! Murphy and his laws LOL! how 8lbs 7 now, that`s awesome!! I can`t wait till C is over 9lbs so I can start stretching her feedings and get some rest!!! oops now she`s waking up!!! I sure look forward to keeping in touch with everyone as we get settled with our babes and routines!!! ttys!!! J
