I figured I should start a journal on here. Keep track of what has happened so far in these past 9 weeks! Maybe it will help some people.. or maybe it will make me feel better. HAHA SO...
The first symptom I noticed, my boobs hurt SO BAD. Before I even knew I was pregnant I was complaining about my boobs feeling like bowling balls. It was pretty normal for me to get soreness and tenderness as PMS so I didn't think about it too much. Yadda yadda.. I tested and it was positive (5 times positive Thank you Clear Blue Easy!) WOW!!! We tried to get pregnant for almost 8 months! Fast forward... over the past 8 weeks I have had to pee like a racehorse as soon as I wake up! I have grown a cup size already! Unforntunately, I graduated to maternity clothes already.. the bloating was too much for me to squeeeeeeeeze into my fat jeans. HAHA, I haven't really craved anything.. but beef makes me feel like crap. And no puking (YAY) but I am pretty much nauseous about 80% of the day. Now, surprisingly since I hit 9 weeks, its like a lightswitch. My boobs don't hurt, I am not really peeing all the time.. just in the mornings! I am not getting nauseous that much anymore Maybe at night, but that's it. But beef is still making me feel bad. The only new thing that sprung up.. I have acne.. UGH. BEAUTIFUL. And, I keep having dreams that are REALLY vivd. From sexual and non sexual dreams.. they are SO real.. its kinda weird. HAHA more to come!!!

I had my doctor appt. yesterday. Got to hear baby's heartbeat for the first time! I cried.. of course. I am so emotional lately. Poor hubby! Nurse said everything sounded great though. Baby was up at my hip when she found the heartbeat, and she went to turn up the volume for me to hear and ZOOM baby took off! haha Had to find all over again. It was great to hear though. My nausea is getting better, thankfully. Seems now I have about 1-2 bad days out of the week instead of everyday. And I am SO glad just to have that. Apparently even though I feel like I am getting fatter by the day, I have lost a pound and a half. Good I suppose! I am really wanting mac n cheese, bagels with cream cheese, apparently foods loaded with carbs. I am giving in now, just because if I dont eat those foods, then I don't want to eat anything. Pregnancy is so weird! But I love it :)

OUT of the first trimester, thankfully!! I am feeling SO much better than I was just 7 weeks ago! Nausea is almost completely gone (although I am wincing as I type.. I don't want to curse myself!) I still get little waves of it everyonce in a while. I have eaten red meat!! YAY!! But I can't do anything hamburger. No caseroles, hamburgers nothing with ground beef. So strange! The biggest thing.. about 2 days ago I GOT MY FIRST MOVEMENT!!! Little flutters in my belly as I was bending over. So I sat up waited a bit and then I bent over again and got it. HAHA I guess baby didn't like me mashing its home. HAHA felt like popcorn in belly! I love it!!

I am feeling so much better now. My belly is pooching out. Although to me, I feel like I look like I have a beer belly!! HAHA I have a sinus infection I am getting over right now.. which has kept me in bed for the past 3 days miserable. But I am on antibiotics which are helping greatly and I think I will be 100% soon. No real updates.. my BIG ultrasound is scheduled for the 18th of December.. but we are going to put it in a envelope and open it on Christmas morning.. we are cheesy like that!! haha

We had our 20wk ultrasound yesterday. It was amazing! The last time I had seen the baby was at 7 weeks and it was a little bean! Baby was sitting facing out, breech, and hyper as hell!! I guess the chocolate milk I drank before hand made baby spaz out. HAHA. Everything looked wonderful. They didn't get a good picture of the heart because baby was moving too much. But they did get a picture of the sex, and of course hubby and I were too excited to wait a week to open it...
ITS A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Madeline Elizabeth... we will call her Maddie for short! I am so in love!!! James is going to be wrapped around her finger in no time...

I just got back from the doctor. We had to get another ultrasound since she was moving too much the first time to get pictures of her heart. She is looking GREAT! She is 1lb and 9oz now! She has long legs, and looks like she is getting chubby cheeks! Her heart rate was 158bpm! I am so in loooooove! She hasn't made me feel sick in a while. So far, I have gained 8lbs. I think thats ok... I never put on any weight until I was about 20 weeks.. now it seems I am gaining a pound a week! I dont like that.. but I guess its good since she is getting bigger faster now! I am getting a belly. You can def. tell I am pregnant now. I have lovely stretchmarks... its hot. HA, but its a small price to pay for my baby girl!

I thought I would do a bit of updating. So Madeline is a kicking machine!! I can tell she is getting bigger. I can feel movement low and up higher, like she is kicking and punching at the same time. She is funny though, any time James puts his hands on my belly to feel her, she stops. Like she knows its her daddy. She is a daddy's girl already!! I love laying in bed watching my tummy move. I think its funny when I can see it moving in little ways that I can't even feel. Its like an alien! I have my GD test next week. Oh joy!! I hope that all goes ok. I have been having some Braxton Hicks contractions more lately. Very low pressure when I stand and walk around. I am REALLY hormonal too. Sometimes I feel like I can't keep them undercontrol, but I try! I think I am ballooning up in weight. I don't have a scale.. but I will have to add that when I get back from the doc's office next week!

March 9,2008 32 Weeks

I haven't updated in a while! So the GD test went fine. Doc did see that I was a bit anemic, so he prescriped some Iron pills.. oh those are WONDERFUL.. (blech) Hmm.. not much is going on as of late really.. my ankles have started swelling pretty bad if I don't sit with my feet up. So far total weight gain as of last Monday was (eek) 22lbs!!! It just packed on fast!! I was told I have a bladder infection last week so I am on antibiotics for that. Other than that.. not much. James really hasn't felt her move that much. She has kicked at his hand only about 2 times. My mom hasnt felt her at all!! My shower is on the 30th of this month. I can't wait!! I am excited and trying NOT to peek at the registry and see what I am getting. HAHA Other than the usual things.. things are going pretty well. I have wicked heartburn, and getting up in the middle of the night to pee is getting really old. But I suppose I will be getting up in the middle of the night to tend to Madeline when she is here, so not much different. We are painting her room this month.. so I will def I have to put up pics from that when I get it done!!

Nothing really has changed.. but this morning.. lost a big chunk of mucus plug (ohh.. it was hott haha) We are 90% done with the nursery. Got the paint on the walls.. and the doors. Still want to stencil in some things on the walls. And my shower is in a week!! YAY!!!

So I woke up this morning with BAAAAD pains. In the front where my normal period cramps are. I got up to take a shower, maybe that would make me feel better.. but then I was dizzy and nauseous. Fun times.. My blood pressure was up a little bit. I called the doc and went and got checked. Madeline has dropped down (THANK GOD) and my cervix is thinning. He didn't move my due date.. or say anything about me going into labor early. He did say I need to watch my contractions because she is getting ready to come. So now.. we are on our toes.. just waiting.. I am so done...

I was having contractions this morning. Back pain since Friday and I was worried about it. I decided to make a trip to L&D since contractions were coming 7 minutes apart, and my BP was rising. They monitored me for high blood pressure and stuff for 3 hours. Nothing.. Not even dialated to ONE. :( So that was kinda disappointing. Back to where I was 3 weeks ago. I am miserable and ready to meet her. Everyone else is being induced or having their babies that are due around me.. and I am just depressed.. but Madeline is healthy.. good HR and stuff. So I guess I will just wait.. story of my life..

Nothing new really this week. Doc said I was dialated 1.5CM at my 38w appt. Contractions come on.. and then just stop. Enough to frustrate me.. I am miserable. Completely. I think worse of all.. is when all people are having their babies.. and here I sit. As selfish as that sounds.. I just get more upset. I am totally happy for them.. most are due before me.. lol But.. when I have been having contractions, and started to dialate and all this.. and I get NOTHING.. I just pout.. it doesn't seem fair. haha
Sorry to whine.. nothing else I have to do lately.. cept wait. And I am not the patient one.. obviously.

yes! mine cries for no reason it seems. after i have checked the diaper, made sure there's nothing poking him, if he's recently eaten, etc. otherwise i just give him some more formula and then make sure he burps good. i hold him and comfort him as long as i can and then if that doesn't work i lay him down and sometimes he cries for 10 minutes or so but then falls fast asleep.

i know how you feel, and how frustrating it can be. my son didn't start this until this week. for the first month he was great all the time and when he cried it was because he was wet or hungry, now it seems it's for no reason imparticular!!!

My surgery is scheduled for 7:30am, we have to be at the hospital at 5:30am!!! Crazy early!! I'm not a morning person either!! I wish I could have her naturally, I'm still scared for the c-section!! You can come and hold my hand if you want! LOL

He would work, but we're having a hard time find a babysitter for our 2 girls during the day!! My mom is taking off for 3 days when Mike has to go back to work and his mom broke her wrist and foot so she can't watch them! I'm still not sure what we are going to do yet!? He'll have to go home every night with the girls so I'll be myself at the hospital at night!

He stayed with me the whole time with our last! I'm going to hate being alone there. I guess I have no choice though. I am a wimp and I hate to be alone! I guess I'll have Madalynn there with me!

I actually gained alot of weight before I got pregnant. So I'm double fatter!! Who knows what size I'll even be!?!? I don't want to think about it. I'm going to Kohl's probably tomarrow. I have a coupon for 30% off your entire purchase!!! I love it when I get that coupon. Even if I don't need anything, I'll find a lot stuff to buy! LOL

Are you guys going to the lake of the ozarks? How long will you be at the lake for vacation? Sounds fun! Wish I could go! There won't be any vacations for us in a while!!!
Well, bad news from the doctor. She wont do it any earlier than next wednesday. I'm super bummed out!!!

I was really hoping for this weekend so I could have a total of 10 days of recovery instead of 7. I don't know if I'm going to be able to get out of bed my self by that time! I hope so! I had a horrible long recovery with Haley. I don't know what I'm going to do!?

So, we still have 6 days left before Madalynn gets here!! She said again this will be a big baby!! I told her that my last was 9lbs 8oz. I thought she said that this one would be bigger than that!! Holy crap!! I hope not!!! I have soooo many cute 0-3 months clothes that I want her to wear!! I don't want her being so big that she goes straight to 3-6mts.

My cousin works for enterprise. Didn't they move their office close to westport? I hope you can find a different job too so you can stay home with Madeline!!! I used to sell AtHome America which is like all of those home parties. I quit when my grandma got sick last year and was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. It was really hard to keep up the parties! Your first 10 or so are easy to get, but after that it kind of gets hard! I like the idea of a wine party!! I like wine!! I'd do one for you!! I can't wait till I can drink again!

I'll be breastfeeding so it will be awhile before I can drink! I'd still do a party for you! I've never heard of the wine parties! Let me know if you start doing it!! My SIL and MIL love wine!!!
I hear you with all the gas prices! They are getting ridiculous!!! We have a Ford Expedition!! Talk about a gas hog!! MMMMMMM.......WINE!!!! I really want some wine now!!! LOL

How are you feeling now? i have been feeling a bit better in the last couple of days. I understand what you mean about feeling guilty about things i am the same i dont like to get frustrated with him then the guilt kicks in. I spoke to the doctor about it she does not think that it is baby blues as they should have passed by now but she is not too worried about me just yet i have to go back to see her next week. Let me know what your doctor says.

Yea unplanned c-sections suck!!!! But you know what? I think I was better off that way bc I am SUCH a baby with pain. I recovered really well too. He is a really good baby. He sleeps from 9-545am but the last few nights he has been up at 3am wanting to eat. I think its bc he isn't used to the crib so it's ok :) That's good Maddie is in the crib!!! :)

My son grunts so loudly while pooping too, he grunts a lot during the day too on and off, mostly because of gas I think...poor guy hasn't pooped in a day and a half, I don't know what else to do to help him a long in pooping. :(

i thought my baby had ingrown toenails too, but my doctor said that his nails were too flimsy to hurt him, and that the best thing to do right now is let them grow out some, and that his nails should naturally grow over his skin...we'll just have to see i guess. good luck!

I just read your post about the clay like poop. I don't know if anyone has answsered you but my daughter is on the same formula and has the same type poop. The doc told me to give her some pedialite. They get really dehydrated this time of year. So I have been giving it to her between feedings. The same amout you would give her with a reg formula bottle. I hope this helps!

I got two hanging baskets for mothers day too!! They are hanging from my front porch, one on either side of my door. Actually I haven't even watered them yet. We've had sooo much rain! They look good!! I have no idea what to get him for fathers day. ???? I have no clue whatsoever!!??

Well, last time I went to the doctor she guessed Madalynn already being 8lbs!!! She may just be 9lbs!! Maybe she just hasn't dropped yet and I'm measuring big!? Yeah, the cereal will make her poo more solid! "big girl poops" Your so funny!!
