The wives tales and legends are not really too acurate to try and determine but - your symptoms all sound similar to mine and I'm having a boy. Hopefully you can get another U/S and he/she will be less shy and share the goodies with mom!

Have you tried intelligender? some people have mixed feelings about it, but it was right on for me. It said boy and we are having a boy. Or maybe another 4d sonogram? I drank cold water at my last sonogram, becuase the tech need him to flip over and he did right away lol. Good luck!

The intelligender website says its like 90% accurate, but it was accurate for me!!

Hi Preet, I posted this on the main list too but not sure if you got it. On ultrasounds they mark every baby as XX as all embryo's start as female. They will only add the Y if the parents want to know the sex of their baby and its a boy of course!

Oh no! I'm so sorry that they're not sure!! I leave for my u/s in about 15 minutes, and I will cry if I don't find out! Maybe you could go and get your own private ultrasound? Do they do that?

I did actually know what the XX and XY chromosomes meant. The Mother has 2 X chromosomes and the father has an X and a Y so the dad determines if the baby will be a boy or a girl.

I know girls are harder to tell than a boy. I would be willing to bet the XX thing had nothing to do with the gender. Who knows though. You can always call the place you had the u/s done and ask if that is typical procedure...

I found out I was having a boy 3 weeks ago and I'm due Sept 22nd. So I was 17 weeks then. I looked at my ultrasound and mine doesn't say XX or XY or male or female or anything like that. All pregnancies are different. Maybe the baby wasn't in the position that they could tell for sure if it's a boy or a girl.
