August 26, 2008 * 13 weeks 5 days

Wow.... 2 days until the big 14 week mark! 2nd tri-mester.... here we come! I imagine that I'll be putting on some weight this coming week as I'm getting hungrier and hungrier all the time. I'll make up for that 1 pound weight gain in the first 12 weeks.

My belly is getting bigger and bigger.... hard to believe it's a 14 week belly for Zach and I but strangers are still not able to tell that I'm pregnant. I had one woman ask me yesterday after I told her that I was expecting... "What are you... 2 weeks!?" So... that just goes to show that strangers just think I have a beer belly.

I'll post my 14 week belly pictures on Friday afternoon. It seems much bigger from 12 weeks.... but I usually can't tell unless I compare the pictures so I'm anxious to see how the pictures look.

We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary yesterday! It was wonderful. Zach and I are so happy.... I just wish we had more time to spend together before the baby comes. Unfortunately school is making it impossible for us to get too much time in this semester.

Hopefully, over Christmas break~ we'll have a lot of quality time.

I'm going this afternoon to pick up our bedding for the nursery! I'm so thrilled... it's beautiful. I wish it wasn't quite so expensive but I'm hoping that we'll be able to use it for a while. I'm buying the toddler quilt along with it so that we can use the quilt on the toddler bed. We should get at least 3 or 4 years out of it anyway.....

I started school yesterday.... it's going to be a long & very very busy semester. I have a lot of studying to do, lots of reading, and lots of class time. So- the good news is... I graduate in December and it will all be over! And... the pregnancy will probably move pretty quickly with me being so busy. Although- I don't know if it can move any quicker than it is already!

Can't believe we're going to register for our baby shower in just 8 weeks. That seems ridiculous!

I think we'll be going for another ultrasound this Friday at mom's work. I'm so excited about that.... I can't wait to see our little one bouncing around again.

Monday September 1st: 14 weeks 4 days

I feel so happy and so fortunate to be pregnant..... and sometimes I get very emotional about it.... particularly when the baby moves. I just get this "this is really happening" feeling. When I imagine what it will be like to hold this precious little on in my arms... the tears just fall and fall.

My husband must think I'm nuts sometimes because I get teary eyed right in the middle of something... and when I feel the baby moving around, I'm completely stopped in my tracks. I'm just in awe of everything. I wish I had more time to just enjoy this pregnancy and enjoy the little one but school is terribly busy.

Last night I was up late doing school work and just as I started to grumble about it, the baby started moving.... he or she is my motivation for working so hard through this semester. It's wonderful to have that little moving reminder now and then that everything is just as it should be and that it's okay that I'm struggling with school. In just 26 more weeks... I'll be a mommy, school will be a thing of the past, and when I do have to go back to work~ I'll be helping the sick.

Happy times are ahead. I'm so excited. And just incase you wondered if I was amazed at how fast time is passing me by.... I am! I can't believe I'll be 15 weeks pregnant in just 3 days. I'm amazed! In just over a month, I'll be half-way through this pregnancy! Why does it all have to move so quickly? I'm really looking forward to having my baby but I just know that I'll miss being pregnant so much.....

Well hubbie and I are going to enjoy a couple of hours together before bed and then it's back to school tomorrow! Wish me luck. I'm hanging in there so far but I have a feeling that the hardest part is yet to come.....
