Hey ya'll..my name is Audrey. I am from Tennessee (Oliver Springs to be exact...don't blink or you'll miss it..lol). I am married to a man I met on a blind date to a country bar (Cotten Eyed Joe for those of you who have heard of it). We met on Halloween in 2000, exactly 2 wks and 1 day after my divorce was final from my 1st husband (Austins father). I immediately found love at 1st sight. He on the other hand didn't. After a few phone conversations and a few dates later, we ended up calling us "together". We bought our 1st house together in April of 2002. Sold it in 2004. Got married in September 2005 and pregnant on Femara in November 05, then miscarried. Got pregnant again in Dec. 06 on Femara and m/c. Tried again in Feb 06, m/c again. Went to see a fertility specialist at the beginning of March 06 and she ordered an HSG when AF came then done Femara on different cycle days then the first 2 times that my OB/Gyn had done (ob/gyn done CD's 3-7, Fert.doc done CD 2-6) Ended up conceiving on March 21. Guess the 1 day made a difference. Built a house in April 06, moved in August. Had Kailey November 29, 06. I was on cloud nine. Had my wonderful husband in there with me the whole time, bless his heart she was his 1st baby, and he was so nervous God love'em. But I will tell you, ALOT of people want their family members in there during delivery. BUT... everybody pictures labor as pure hell (especially 1st timers). That moment having only Brad in the room with me besides Dr. Bullen and his nurse was the most AMAZING thing I have ever experienced!! I had my mom in the room with me during Austins delivery (and I love my momma don't get me wrong) but Kailey's birth was SO ROMANTIC. After she was born and cleaned up, they brought her over to me and I said no I want her daddy to hold her 1st!!!! (Geez I'm getting teary eyed thinking about it..lol). SOOOOO...now with this pregnancy story. Brad was wanting to start trying again for another this past November, but I was gonna talk to him about maybe waiting until next November the weekend after I found out I was pregnant....but I was too late. At 1st I was dissappointed b/c I wanted to wait...but now I am happy about it. Brad has been ecstatic since day 1. We are blessed to have all of our kids, but especially Kailey and this one. I have a clotting disorder that is hereditary called MTHFR and hypohomocystinemia. I didn't have it as bad when I conceived Austin, it really hit me in "adult hood". The reason I m/c twice is b/c when the embryo tried to implant in the uterus and start growing the placenta, it clotted off and died. So after my trip to the fert dr, she ran blood work and found all this out. I was put on 2 prenatal vitamins daily, a baby asprin daily, and 3 folic acid daily. With this pregnancy I done the folic acid 1 time a day and a baby asprin a day until 12 weeks. Plus my Flintstones (prenatals were making me miserable). So far we are ok. On my 1st u/s at 6wks babys heartrate was 130. On my 10 wk u/s it was 170. On my 14 wk u/s it was 160's. Heart rates DO NOT make a difference.....IT'S A BOY!!!
Week 25 and 6 days
I stopped taking my asprin a while back around week 12, but now I'm really starting to think about the long run (third trimester and delivery). My hematologist seems to think that taking asprin so close to my delivery date will cause me to bleed out, so he has started me on Lovenox injections once a day. Since Lovenox stays in your system for 12 hrs verses the Asprin is up to 3 days. And If I don't take anything I could have a PE (pulmonary embolism) during delivery. So I will start those as soon as MedCo gets it to my house..lol!
Well Christmas went great! Kailey had her 2nd experience `s opening gifts. It was too cute. She would tear every gift piece by piece. Then if it was a bag she would tear the tissue piece by piece. Until she got to the smallest piece of paper then tear tiny tiny pieces off. lol It was so funny. Of course her and Austin racked up this year. I couldn `t even fit everything in the back of my Explorer.

Ok..so I went to the Dr today and my OB wanted to do a NST and BPP. Which I thought was kind of strange considering I haven't ever had these done before with my other 2 pregnancies. After my u/s was over with I went to the room and my OB came in and said I was the only pt she had that was due around 6-11. She said that she would like for me to deliver around the end of May. She said she had 2 ligitmate reasons why she wants me delivered by then...1) my Lovenox injections 2) she's going on vacation leaving 6-1. So I asked her to please do it on May 29th. We have a thing with 29's in our family. So with that said Brailyn Nate will be here May 29!! YAY!!
Beautiful!! A work of art girl! Congrats! he has long fingers!
