Sunday, 25 May okay, craziness! you know how i told you i had those lab tests for the cholestasis? well my doctor never called me back, so i kept calling the hotline number they gave me for the results. i FINALLY got them last night at 10:30 and it was definitely high. so i called L&D to see what i should do. i guess my doctor never got the results because i had to take the tests at a different location...which is okay to do, but apparently slows down the process of your doc getting the info. anyhow, they told me to not wait until the morning but come in immediately. so they hook me up to everything for a couple hours to check on the baby and i was contracting regularly the whole time. they come in after like 2.5 hours and ask me if we want to induce. right when we're about to decide what to do, there's chaos! it was dead last night and there was only 1 doctor on hand. so this lady who is 38 weeks preg come in and is having a stroke so they are freaking out! so i was asking what i should do, honestly. she said that often they'll take them at 36 or 37 weeks, but b/c the baby was looking good she would at least wait a couple days. i go back tues. for another stress test and will be able to talk to my doctor and decide from there. she said if i were 38 weeks they would have done it for sure, but since the baby was doing well she felt fine about waiting. plus, like i said...things got high stress really fast. she told me to really monitor his movements and come back in if i had any reason for concern, but i should be induced by the end of the week. CRAZY! plus, the doctor on hand wanted to do an amnio first and b/c those are pretty invasive she said she wouldn't recommend doing that. anyhow, so she checked me right before i left b/c i was contracting so much. i was only at 1, so they didn't keep me... then i came home and had really bad contractions for 4 hours, that were 6 min apart. i was ready to head back up there and then they suddenly stopped. weird! so anyhow, that's my crazy story! i should know something prob by Tuesday as far as when and what we'll do.
so yeah, my quiet night at home turned into a crazy night at the L&D.
now i just need a REALLY long nap, as I got no sleep!!
how was your night? any excitement? =) melsniff -
Sunday, 25 May yeah, I definitely feel restless! If there were something else to clean I would! I just walked around Target until my son couldn't take it anymore..I'm bored out of my mind!! Lol, I'm deciding I'm not too patient =)
I dont have too much going on this weekend.. I had been taking my son to the pool everyday but its been too cool this whole week! Ha, I dont have much energy for chasing him around the park of anything, and I'm having a hard time coming up with things to do that dont require too much energy, but keep him busy! I'll be glad when this weekend is over bc my husbands schedule will be back to normal and he'll be here to help entertain him and keep me company!
So did you ever decide what to do about a stroller?
Well, I guess I'm gonna go! Have a great Sunday! MommyJewels -
Saturday, 24 May hey-
yes, they usually do it at the hospital. We didn't because his weight loss was so bad that they wouldn't do it. Luckily our insurance benefits were the same if we did it in the office or at the hosiptal.
I'm sorry that you were pissy last night. What was wrong honey? Is today any better? How are you feeling?
My mom went out and bought JK some preemie clothing so he actually has something to wear that he isn't swimming in.
Healing is freaking slow. The freaking dog jumped up on me yesterday and set me back. I'm in a lot of pain and ready to be off the Percocet and have my mind me clear again. Healing is slow and I am eager to get OUT of the house and be active. Amazingly though I have lost 23 pounds in 9 days from breastfeeding and sitting on my bum. I can't wait to be able to work out. My family is asking what I want for my birthday and all I want is to go hiking. lol. I am just ready to get out and enjoy this nice weather. I need a tan so badly it's not even funny!
Whatcha doing today? melsniff -
Saturday, 24 May oh man, i'm tired! i just finished cleaning everything, even the fans! i think all the chemicals are getting to me, but what do you do when things have to be cleaned!! i had a really long day, b/c i had to go get some lab work, take my son to an appointment, went to work, sold my old stroller (finally!! yay!) went to dinner, went to a graduation and then came home and cleaned. i decided i'd rather get it over with then wake up early and do it! lol, and now my son is playing with his car rolling it down my stomach. i think i'm about to go get a long bath or something!
I really want my son to go to bed early, but he took a really late nap because i worked later than normal since i had to spend the morning at his appt. oh well!!
well the wii fit sounds fun. so its not like an actual aerobics exercise thing, its just games that use aerobic motions? i mean...you wouldn't work out to it or anything? lol, sounds like a stupid question prob, but i wasn't sure what it was to begin with...just saw it in the target ad!
i'm SO ready to get back to really working out! i miss it so much.
yeah, that's the thing about stripping the membranes and all the things people try to do to induce labor. i really think nothing is going to work unless your body is really ready. My SIL's doc stripped hers 3 times... and she ended up having her the day before she was due. so yeah, we just have to wait for nature to do its course! i read somewhere that what causes you to go into labor is your hormones levels drop...and your body reacts by going into labor. obviously we cannot make our hormones change!
anyhow, sorry you have to stay up so late. my mom came a few weeks ago and her flight was supposed to get in at 11....she didn't get in until 3 a.m.! i was SO tired! its frustrating. i told her she could never schedule a flight that late again!!
anyhow, how did your sauce come out? we went to on the border for dinner and it really didn't hit the spot! probably b/c we planned all day on olive garden and changed it at the last minute b/c it was closer to where the graduation was. once i get something in my mind (as far as food) nothing else sounds good! lol...normally i eat super healthy, but the last few weeks i haven't cared much. i mean, what does it matter at this point? i feel disgusting anyway!
anyhow, i think i'm rambling now. my son is watching his movie so i'm just browsing the internet on the laptop. my husband had to stay after graduation to go to some reception. (he works for the school).
so yeah, have a good night!

Friday, 23 May OHHHH! I hope that I feel well enough to go to that expo! MommyJewels -
Friday, 23 May Hey! How is your day going?
We went to get Johnny wee wee chopped. They actually do it in a much more less violent way now lol. We almost didn't get it done because he only gained ONE ounce since Tuesday's appointment:( At the hospital he had gained three ounces in 24 hours which was great because he had lost of 10% of his weight at the hospital. He is feeing very well and we aren't sure why he hasn't gained, but we go back on Tuesday again in hopes that he fattens up! Poor little man is swimming in all his clothing. BUT...he didn't even cry during the circumsion...what a trooper!
OHHHH...a wii and a wii fit. I want the wii fit SO bad! How fun. I hear it is incredbly addicting.
Well Johnny has pleaded again today for me to tell Swayer to get ready and prepare himself for his journey OUT. He says Swayer needs to just slide right now and make labor and delivery smooth for Mommy!

I swear our nurseries have resemblances. Black crib and the same shelf... come and see mine. I love the idea of lots of books, i put bears and stuff proudmama27 -
Friday, 23 May
oh, im going to steal that idea of the blocks over the crib. I was looking at blocks JUST LIKE THOSE at the store the other day and I thought I couldnt do anything with them. I absolutely LOVE it. Your nursery is amazing! I love it melsniff -
Friday, 23 May hey, i'm doing well. i was bummed yesterday after my appointment though b/c my doctor would NOT check me! and i even had the strep test. I'm sitting there thinking...I already am undressed, you have on a glove...just check! grrrr....but, what do you do? i know its not like its gonna make things faster, but i really wanted to know what's going on! he's just the type that doesn't think its really necessary because it doesn't necessarily give you any indication of how soon it will be. i mean, i've heard of people walking around for weeks at a few cm dilated and not go into labor. and on the other hand for someone to be at 0 and go into labor that night. but, its still nice to know just for our own sanity!
and yes, he got home last night, so that was really nice! i didn't see too much of him, b/c we had my niece's 1 year birthday party and his family is so big i'm not sure i even got to sit down next to him the whole time!! he was super tired and has a busy weekend with work, but hopefully we'll be able to do something fun monday since we are both off. i was SO glad he was finally back though because first of all i missed him, second my son was going berserk not seeing him! he has been incredibly whiny the past few days and crying for him. you feel bad b/c its not like i can explain to him what's going on, he just knows he's not there! it was really sad!!
well that was sweet of your husband. we have the wii and it is a blast. i saw the wii fit in the target ad on Sunday and was wondering how that would be. you'll have to let me know how well you like it after you try it out more.
well, keep me updated as well! when is your next appointment? i LOVE the nurse that is always there and i was like, well..i'll prob see you again, but i hope not! she is really sweet and i always look forward to my visits just to see her. so yeah, i go back next thurs.
alright, well i'll talk to you later! hope you have a great friday!

Friday, 23 May Posted a couple more pix:) MommyJewels -
Friday, 23 May Larimer County is about an hour north of you. Pinkribbonmom-Jennifer lives right where it hit. So do my in laws and my SIL and her family. Scary stuff.
Mommyhood is going pretty well today. I didn't sleep but an hour last night, but somehow I am functioning. I feel like that chick from Terminator...have you seen the show on FOX? Like a machine because it hasn't really effected me at all. Today we did a lot of boobie time, when he wasn't eating he was pooping. BUT...today he was up for almost 45 minutes which was pretty impressive!
I was really hoping the membrane stripping would help you out. I think you need to have some sex, go walking and tell Swayer that Johnny is impatiently waiting for him:) MommyJewels -
Thursday, 22 May I am thinking of you. Let me know if anything happens:) I can't wait for you to have Swayer and I hope the membrane sweep does something for you! You are about to embark on this amazing new adventure of Mommyhood. Can't wait to share it with ya! MommyJewels -
Thursday, 22 May Oh wow...and she swept your membranes! WOW! How did that feel? I am excited that there has been some change. Are your bags all packed? Now go have sex!!!! melsniff -
Thursday, 22 May no kidding. and my mom and mother in law get mad at me when i talk about how much i hate being pregnant. but what is there to enjoy about it? other than feeling them move, but even that gets super annoying and painful. lol..
i actually have been itching a little lately and have a couple of the other symptoms, so i'm gonna ask him to run those tests at my appt. tomorrow. so we'll see. its not near as bad as last time, but maybe i'm just getting it later. lol...crossing my fingers, b/c he'd prob induce immediately.
yes, i'm so excited about the cruise! i've never been there, so it will be fun.
that's exciting. when i went yesterday she didn't tell me if i was dilated b/c she was so busy doing tons of stuff, but i did hear her tell the nurse i was 50% effaced. i asked her his station, but she said she wasn't checking for that when she checked me b/c she was only concerned about the amniotic fluid. so i guess i'll find all that out tomorrow.
anyhow...yes, i hope the membrane sweeping works. i'm not sure if my doc will do that, but i hope so! i'll ask =)
melsniff -
Wednesday, 21 May yes, I know...its stupid at this point to wish for something to happen just so I can deliver! I mean, when you've carried it 37 weeks, what's 3 more? I'm just SO exhausted! lol, I think I was just at my wits end last night and I slept horribly because I feel sick =( but, I'm trying to be optimistic today!
well I'm sorry you didn't sleep either! my mother-in-law was talking about it last night and was saying how I really won't sleep with a newborn. And I was like, well actually 3-4 hours in a row would be nice at this point! I've been getting less than that a night!
yeah, its so weird because his parents live SO close and I obviously work with his mom, so I'm super close to them. yet at the same time nothing is the same as your parents! and b/c we're so close she just offers her input about EVERYTHING and I can't tell her to just stop talking or that I don't want her two cents like I could tell my mom! its nice being able to say anything to your parents, but with them I still have to be nice about everything =)
i feel for my sis-in-law (we are super close) b/c they just moved in with the in-laws for a few months. her husband is working on starting his own business, so they figured this way they could save some money and get ahead. plus since the housing market is so terrible right now, they thought if they could save like $15,000 in the next several months, this is the best time to get into a house.
this pregnancy, NOTHING has sounded good to me. I seriously wait until I'm starving until I eat. It wasn't like that last time, so I'm not sure what the difference is. I have the worst heartburn ever too! but I had that last time as well, so who knows.
Anyhow, we are going to Alaska. My husband's grandparents bought tickets for the whole fam...there's like 40 of us going. crazy!! but it will be a blast! =) MommyJewels -
Wednesday, 21 May One of the pictures I used is on my profile...it's titled "My little man" mizzlolo -
Wednesday, 21 May I ALWAYS FEEL 2 LARGE BUMPS ON MY STOMACH...UNLESS MY BABY HAS A REALLY LARGE BUTT...I COULD SWEAR THAT, IT'S HIS HEAD...but the doc had once told me that it was his butt....**still unbelievable*** Either way i still try to do everything in my power to make sure he stays with his head down...IM DEATHLY AFRAID OF C-SECTIONS...(i model and that would jus end it) I wish my doc would give me a sonogram jus to easy my nerves, but i dont think he would MommyJewels -
Wednesday, 21 May Hey!
The picture was actually a picture of my dog haha! Nakeo...as a puppy of my holding him after his first bath. I got him right when I found out I had cancer and he was such a perfect puppy and gave me a lot of support during some really bad times. I just kept focusing on his eyes. I also had a picture from Bora Bora. The whole focal point thing worked really well for me.
I wouldn't buy a fancy pump! We bought a fancy smanshy one and I'm not sure why! They are really good for a really busy working mom though. At the hospital they had me pump as the baby had lost a scary amount of weight and my milk wasn't coming in. I have pumped a few times at home only because my boobs were going to explode if I didn't. haha. I would not go buy a fancy one though unless you are planning on pumping a lot!
So...when do you see the doctor again? I am glad that you are feeling so well. I know it is frustrating not to have labor signs, and you want your little man OUT but I am very happy that you are able to feel well and enjoy this time. I would spend some time going on some great dates with Geoff if you can. I dunno though, I honestly think that when Swayer comes you will find your relationship with Geoff is even better just hanging out with your FAMILY. It is truly incredible. They always tell you the skies open up when you become a mom...it's chessy but it's pretty darn true!
I guess you just never know what will happen. One of my friends on here had NO signs AT ALL. She tried every single natural induction idea out there. NOTHING. Suddenly her water broke at 3am and she had the baby a couple hours later. So you never know. Regardless, once he comes he will be WORTH the wait:)
The hyperemesis went away LITERALLY the moment that they removed my placenta! It was incredible. I can't complain much. It is tough to be recovering from not only a c-section...but they were in such a hurry they had to toss aside a lot of my organs-YIKES. Recovering from the labor and the forceps is much better than people told me though:) What is most shocking is that you bleed A LOT! Your uterus contracts like crazy to get back to size. It's just not normal to bleed this much and not die! BUT...I guess us women are made like that lol MommyJewels -
Wednesday, 21 May Thank you honey. I can't wait to meet you:) We will have to hang out and you'll have to meet Jennifer (pinkribbonmommy) as well. I hope that you are doing well. I told John what you said about the tassles on the pump at the hospital haha. Well..it's still not sexy...but I haven't had to pump for awhile. My milk came in last night. Good God that was an ordeal haha...leaking like a cow. Let me tell you===you'll feel even sexier when you have the baby haha.
I am doing ok. I feel like a 90 year old with my csection. Would have been much easier if it was a planned c-section or if I hadn't been in labor and had the forceps...I "got" to experience it ALL. BUT...it was all so worth it. I love this little man mor than anything. I can't wait for us to have play dates.
So....let's focus on getting this little dude out of you. Have you been having more contractions? When is your next appt?
My advice to you....would be to find a picture that you can use as a focal point. I was in a lot of pain with a faulty epdidural and I really focused on this picture that JOhn held while I was breathing. It worked wonders. The nurses were really impressed with how calm I was. John was the best birth coach ever! I am sure Geoff will be as well. Don't be afraid to ask for what you want. When you have to push----push with all your might:) I can't wait for you to experience this. It is incredible.

Wednesday, 21 May Hey...sorry, I had kind of a weird day! I actually went to L & D because I thought I might be leaking fluid. I talked to the nurse and she told me to come in just to be sure, but nope. But the weird thing is for 3 hours I had contractions that were about 7 min apart...but then they stopped, so I was sad =(
Anyhow, I'm starting to get more this evening...it is a full moon tonight! lol...but I'm not getting my hopes up because I got really down and discouraged today after everything stopped!
Last time I was induced b/c I got this thing called cholestasis, and they have to get the baby out ASAP b/c it causes stillbirth. Basically, your liver stops functioning correctly and your bile backs up in your system and because harmful to the baby. And you itch like its nobodys business! there is no way to describe how terrible it was...i literally would make myself bleed from itching so severely and would just cry at night because it was that bad. They say the chances of getting it again are 70%, but so far so good. bad thing is, if I had it I would prob be induced by now... lol, not that I want to deal with it again, but I'm SO sick of this!
yay, so I'm glad you found Old Navy! I love their little jeans for kids...I like the the way they fit way better than even the baby Gap jeans. I got the baby a little swimsuit and swim shirt there the other day b/c we're going on a cruise in July...it is the cutest and tiniest thing ever! Its so crazy how tiny they come out! I found Silas' shirt from the hospital the other day and its so weird looking at it because its the smallest thing you've ever seen and it was too big for him. its so weird thinking he won't be my baby anymore =( i just keep staring at him and i get a little sad thinking about it and realizing its just gonna be a short amount of time with just him. so i guess i should focus on enjoying my last days with only him!
I have no idea what we're doing this weekend. I think my husband has to work, so that stinks. That's prob why I'm so bummed today b/c he gone until Thurs. night. He's never out of town for work, but this just happens to be BAD timing! I came to my in-laws today to get some work done from here, and they basically are making me stay here....which I just want to go home! I mean, I know they can't make me...but its not worth dealing with it.
So next week I'm getting a massage, and I'm so excited! I had one pregnancy massage a couple weeks ago and had to pay more money b/c you have to have a special masseuse do it b/c they say they have to avoid certain spots b/c it can induce labor. well i was asking her about it and she said they have to have hundreds of hours of extra training to be a pregnancy masseuse. well, i was joking with her about where are these spots and she said that if i was term she would do an induction massage. i asked her if it really works and she said that she has people go into labor all the time when she does it. lol, so i'm waiting until 38 weeks and I'm going =)
okay, well I'll let you know if anything happens. cross your fingers!! =) maybe we'll both go into labor tonight, how great would that be? i'm having contractions now, so you never know!
MommyJewels -
Wednesday, 21 May Hi honey! I finally got online at home. I will be online more tomorrow. I am doing ok...recovery is SLOW. I will post my birth story tomorrow. Can't wait to catch up! preciousangels2 -
Tuesday, 20 May It'll most likely fit again after the pregnancy! Hopefully. Mine still doesn't from my first. But that's cuz I gained 80lbs and could only lose 35lbs. At least it fit on my pinky... Now I can barely get it on that! But I know it's all from swelling and water weight this time around as I've only gained 21lbs. rabekah -
Tuesday, 20 May We were planning on inducing early because of the broken pelvis thing anyway maybe around 36-37 weeks. My doctor had a hard time getting fluid for the amino because there wasn't a lot in there. It took 4 pokes to finally get a small amount of fluid (me and these amino tests!) Apparently the 4 pokes through the uterus was enough to irritate it and I went into labor. She was born within a few hours and the amino test came back after she was born saying her lungs were ok. Ha Ha Ha... she was breathing just fine so we figured it out on our own. She was 4lbs 9oz and had no problems except a little jaundice. She only stayed one extra day in the hospital. I know we were very lucky because most babies will have a bit of trouble being born at 35 weeks. She's going to be 7years old on 6/6, one day before my actual due date. He He He, guess late summer is my time to be fertile. rabekah -
Tuesday, 20 May Ah that's so sweet! I love to see my hubby brag about his baby too. You can see how proud they are. My husband defiantly has a pregnancy glow :0) Don't count on going past your due date just yet, it seems as soon as your let your guard down he will be on his way.
My first daughter was born at 35 weeks and we assumed this little girl would try to do the same. The doctors and I actually wanted her out today because of a broken pelvis I had years ago. It's healed now of course but there is some pins and metal plates in there so we don't want her too big. Anyway the amino didn't go as planned yesterday so the induction for today is getting put off until Friday. My bags and her bags are in the car and I refuse to take them out >: ) Oh well, my gram keeps saying everything happens for a reason and what can I do about it anyway.
