Hello. My name is Kristin. I got married on April 8, 2006 to my very wonderful and supportive husband, Casey. On November 7th, we found out that we were having our first baby. We were very excited about it, especially since the dr. told me I had PCOS and that there was only a 15% chance of getting pregnant. I really didn't think it would every happen, but the first month we tried, sure enough, i was pregnant. Since then i have been counting down the days our due date July 21st, 2008. About a month ago we found out that we are having a wonderful little boy. He will be named Brayson Jonathan Brown. The meaning of the name Brayson is God's Gift and that definately is what he is.

Thanks for explaining it to me.... are you taking any medication for your diabetes? My doc told me he'll be giving me some pills. How much have you gained? I've gained 22 lbs. I read that they will be inducing you pretty soon? One of my doc said they were going to induce me... then another doc said they weren't going to induce me! So, I'm a bit frustrated! Well, thanks for commenting on my wall. Best of luck and I'll keep you posted with everything.

regarding your comment about the pain from the belly button down....It kinda sounds like what has been happening to me. I get a sharp pain that goes from right below my belly button all the way down, but mine happens for a few seconds and then goes away. It happened a couple times through out the day and are now getting stronger more painful. Last time I asked my doctor about it she said it was probably just the baby kicking harder, but I'm going to bring it up again when I go friday.

Hi frome week 35! Yes, we all remember this pain! And what you described is exactly what's happening! Your lower abdomen is giving and stretching to get ready for the baby to start moving down or dropping! I got those pains off and on for about a week, and then the good news is they will stop! And then you will get totally different uncomfortable pains! :) Good luck!

I posted a few days ago with something similar. Mine was above and to the left of my belly button- but is a really sharp vertical pain. It takes a few days to go away and I can push right on the spot that hurts. I don't know if we are feeling the same thing or not- but someone messagedme that they felt the same thing and their dr said it was a nerve stretching. Sounds painful- and it is!

Hi - I saw your post about the pain around your belly button on week 38. I had the same thing! It was directly under my belly button and going down and would be such a sharp pain I could not move! I asked my Dr about it and there is some sort of ligament or something that lies right there. Depending on how your belly is growing it can get pulled a bit and that is what you are feeling. Mention it to your Dr as well at your next visit, but it sounds exactly like what I had.

sounds like stretchies.. your ligaments are going to stretch to make room for the baby. your pelvis will hurt, you tummy will feel like its ripping.. your hips will hurt.. well mine did anyway to the point where i couldnt walk, then it would pass and i would be okay.

Hi just read your post. Think it might be symphysis pubis disorder (SPD), it happened to me and i would have pain shooting up from the inside of my thigh into my pubic bone and walking was a huge problem, luckily am much better now...check out the forum for it on this website, tells you about symptoms. Hope this helps, congrats on your baby!!!

I've been getting random pains that I'm just calling stretchy cramps. They come and go. Unless they are severe and/or you've got other symptoms, it's probably fine, but I'd call the doctor if you're really worried.

I had that feeling too. It was just my hips and the whole pelvic area stretching. I still get those pains now and I'm in week 40 - they're just not as intense anymore. Or maybe I'm just used to them. =)
If it keeps bugging you ask your doctor about it at your next appointment, but to me it sounds like you're just starting the LOVELY last couple months of your pregnancy. Parts of your body you didn't even know existed start hurting after a while.

I think I know. A girl from my week told me it was 'round ligament pain'. I have gotten this too. Especially after I have been sitting for a long time and then I get up, it feels like I have to hunch over just to walk or stand, because being fully upright hurts and 'pulls'.

In my family/friends we are all having girls!! My baby will make girl #7 in our family (between my side and my husbands).. Everyone at work is having girls (5 of us), my best friend has 3 girls and my friend that just had a baby is a girl! Maybe it's something in FL water vs Texas water!!! Bikini girls vs the cowboys!! hee hee

Hey Kristin!

I have a TON of problems with swelling. My ankles are like, bigger than the part of my calf just above the ankles! I get that way the longer I'm on my feet these days, and my hands are swelling for sure, as my rings are starting to be REALLY tight! I had a BMI that was on the high side of normal before pregnancy, but my midwife and doctor both said that my weight is fairly normal, and that the swelling isn't something to be really concerned about. Particularly when it's starting to get hotter and more humid. Hope that's helpful!

I had an ultrasound last week that said my little boy was 3 lbs and 2 oz and the tech doing the ultrasound said it was right on track, but I hear the ultrasound can be off by almost 7 oz, so I wouldn't really worry about it. I haven't gained hardly an weight, I think it is a total of 5 pounds now but I was overweight to start with so they said with my metabolism being higher because of the baby, that is probably what has kept me from gaining as much.

I do think it might be in the higher average rate.As I went to the doctor uesday and mine was weighing in at 2 pounds 15 ounces.but I measure 37 weeks by my stomach and ive not gained any weight at all.I am actually still in the minus. Dont worry
