Utopianite - Saturday, 28 June
I hope that you're doing well. Our landlord came by yesterday, and is giving us a couple of extra days (until Wednesday) to move out. Which is good because I'm no where near being done with packing, and we still don't have a place ready to move into. Saxon went for his checkup on Wednesday and was 9 lbs 8 oz. I was suprised that he weighed that much, but I guess they can't stay tiny forever. I guess now I'll look forward to him sleeping through the night in a few more weeks. At some point, I'm going to have all of the children sit down for a picture together. I just feel sorry for the photographer. It's hard enough to get one child to sit still... and times that by 4 now. :-)

Utopianite - Tuesday, 24 June
Wow! That was a good sized baby. We're just about to move too. (Our lease is up at the end of the month, and I still don't know where we're moving to.) I've been packing boxes, and it's just not all that much fun when you have a new little one, and a bunch of others running around. I'm not sure how much mine weighs right now. I tried weighing him on my mom's scale when I visited her yesterday, and it said 9.8 lbs, so I'll see how accurate it is when I take Saxon in for his 1 mth checkup tomorrow. Good luck with getting a new place to live!

Wow. I know it's hard doing anything with 4 kids. (Grocery shopping is always my favorite.) And going out to eat anywhere almost isn't worth doing anymore. This is one of the reasons that pizza deliveries must be popular. I'm feeling better now than I was a week ago. I'm definately starting to feel more like myself and have more energy, but it wears me out to take all of the kids out of the house, even if just to visit my parents. How much did your baby weigh?

Utopianite - Tuesday, 17 June
Congratulations. Did you have your baby on the 28th like you thought you were going to? I know things have been really busy around here. The first 2 or 3 weeks I was fighting with my hormones and did nothing but cry all of the time. Now I'm starting to feel a little better. I just got back from the grocery store, and I need to give the kids a bath and head over to my parents' house before my 7 year old's baseball game tonight. (I'm just glad it's at night because it's still 95 outside this afternoon). I hope that you're doing well. My son has his 1-month-checkup on Wednesday and I'm really looking forward to finding out how much he weighs. He was so tiny at first. :-) Anyway, I'll be looking for those pictures. Take care of yourself! :-)

rochelle - Thursday, 12 June
my baby had jaundice too...just above the intermediate range sence birth we go into day for our hopefully last check up....lets pray! I am glad to hear your baby is eating well I finaly had to do the breast pump he couldnt suck enough - although I was producing enough - there was just no other option. so now we have to pump....better than formula.

Utopianite - Wednesday, 11 June
I just wondered how things went for you. I know you must be pretty busy about now. I'm having trouble with just about everything. I don't think I've ever been this exhasted in my life. The baby is great though. I still tear up every time I look at him. I'm definately going to have to wait 2 or 3 years before I try to have another one though. When the babies start falling out without you having to 'push' them out, then it's time to let your body mend for a little while. I do hope that things are going well for you. :-)

Utopianite - Monday, 26 May
Hey! I hope you're doing well. I just got home from the hospital. I was having contractions every 3 minutes on Friday morning, and had my son late that afternoon. I had him without any drugs, even though I was begging for an epidural the last 5 minutes. He wasn't quite as big as I thought he'd be. In fact, he's my smallest one so far, at 7 lbs 3 oz. I only pushed one time, and it wasn't even a very hard push. His head was out by the time the doctor got into the room, and there were 8 nurses in there telling me not to push until the doc got to the room. When he came running in there, I said "glad you could make it." :-) And he ran over just in time to grab the baby and put him on my chest. Well, I haven't slept in 3 days now, so I'll put up some pictures and stuff tomorrow after I get some rest. :-)

Mommi2Be - Thursday, 22 May
Sorry to hear you are having a crappy day. Hope it gets better!

Utopianite - Thursday, 22 May
When I was reading your responce... It sounded exactly like me, up to a point. I can barely walk when I wake up in the mornings. My husband is willing to do anything (short of sleeping with me) to try and make this baby come tomorrow. He's been begging me all week to "drink castor oil". My 7 year old has a bad cold (but I sent him back to school today because he doesn't have a fever.) My 3 year old is driving me crazy with hundreds of "WHY"s a day, and my 1 year old is constantly fussing because his first molars are coming in. I swear my hip joints are out of place, which I'm sure is what's making it hard to walk. I pulled a couple of muscles in my stomach yesterday from wrestling with my 1 year old (who is protesting all of his diaper changes now.) And my husband is sick of me crying every night because I'm in so much pain, and he probably thinks that everything will get better as soon as I have the baby. Oh well.... If I'm lucky... tomorrow. If I'm not so lucky, hopefully Wednesday!!!! My husband wants me to go to the store with him to pick up some castor oil, so I guess I'm headed off to Walgreens. I'll let you know how things go tomorrow. :-)

number4omg - Thursday, 22 May
My dad seen my birth, all accidental-they said I had hours-got up to pee and there was a head coming out. All I can say is when its time to push, I don't care if the thing was being broadcast, I just wanted someone to catch.lol. Besides, I watched my friend give birth, and I have no memory of seeing "her" all I can recall was the head coming out, and the baby being brought into the world in front of me. I want my sons 12 and 10 years old, to be there, however my husband wants this to be "our thing" . There was a period I was had the same concern you do. Then I started thinking of it as a once in a lifetime, family bonding, day we would all treasure-together. That made up my mind. Not my husbands, but they will be just outside the door. Good luck, best wishes, and hope all goes as peaceful and painless as possible.

thebigtomato - Wednesday, 21 May
You'd still think she'd want to give you good info, though. I hate that it seems like she's trying to scare you...

Utopianite - Tuesday, 20 May
Wow... So we could possibly have babies with the same birthday. (I'm still crossing my fingers for this Friday so that I can be back in time to grill out on Memorial Day and actually have room in my stomach again.) I drank 1 oz of castor oil last night (because it seemed to work with my last baby), but it didn't seem to do much of anything, other than make me sick to my stomach when I first drank it. No wonder parents used to use that stuff as punishment. My doctor said that statistically, all of the babies that he'd delivered after 34 weeks had been just fine and not suffered any more complications than those at 40 weeks. But his hands are tied as far as hospital rules go. I just know that I'm in more pain than I've been in with any of my others, and it will be at least 2 or 3 years before I try to get pregnant again. I am really excited about getting this over with. 8 more days at the most!

thebigtomato - Tuesday, 20 May
Your cousin is full of crap. When I went into labor at 31 weeks, they told me that he would survive, but that he would be in the hospital for several weeks. They didn't say there was a chance he would survive, but that he WOULD. They wanted me to make it to 35 weeks because that is the magical point when he would have his lungs developed enough and his suck/swallow reflexes developed enough that he wouldn't have to stay in the hospital very long. Now, at 36 weeks the docs are saying, "Maybe you'll go into labor before you get induced this Sunday! Wouldn't that be great?" If my doctors are excited at the prospect of me delivering during week 36, I'd assume the baby will be okay if I do.

Utopianite - Monday, 19 May
I'm glad you're finally on leave. Waking up really early is no fun. My doctor admitted me to the hospital for a little while on Friday. My blood pressure was up, but it went back down a couple of hours later, so I must have just been excited. I'm at 3 cm now, and 75% effaced, so if I make it to 4 cm by this Friday, then I'll get to have the baby then. I just want to have him while he's still under 9 lbs. I'm afraid of what one any bigger than that would do to me. :-) If things don't work out this Friday, then it'll be the 28th at the latest. He doesn't want me to go any longer than that because of how big the baby is (and he's probably tired of listening to me complain.) :-) Hope you're doing well. Has your doctor given you any sort of date to be induced, or are you just going to let him come whenever he's ready?

mariela14 - Saturday, 17 May
Oh wow. Yeah I have one other big one like the one I'm going to but it's 25 miles away too! So that wouldn't do any good. The one I"m going to go to is better anyways...

Utopianite - Wednesday, 14 May
Hi! I just wondered how you were feeling. I walked all day yesterday, and I felt so much pressure 'down there' that I was sure it had helped to do something. Guess I'll find out at my appointment on Friday. My ribs are buised on the inside, and my throat is buring from all of the stomach acid that doesn't want to stay where it's supposed to. :-) How are you doing?

mariela14 - Wednesday, 14 May
My hospital is about 25 miles from my house so I know what you mean. It's kinda scary thinking you might not get there! But this is my first so I'm sure I'll be fine. That's the closest one to my house though! (I live in the booneys.)

jcody777 - Monday, 12 May
My doctor wouldn't give me the okay for anything prescribed. I wish I could take prevacid, I remember it working well for me. Anyhow, good luck and let me know how it goes!!

kippy - Monday, 12 May
Thank you so much for responding. I haven't really felt good about the idea since it was mentioned. I even read your comment to my husband and he said good enough for me to make a decision. Thanks!

jcody777 - Friday, 9 May
I read your post about the heartburn. 2 or 3 days ago someone posted something about Zantac 75 working. Let me tell you it WORKS!!! I am so happy, and I can sleep at night. You just take 1 in the morning before breakfast, and 1 before dinner. I have had 2 wonderful nights of sleep because of taking this!! And I feel great today. (Zantac is not on my list, but it is on other women's list, so I figure it can't be that bad)

thebigtomato - Monday, 5 May
I think my baby moved down a little more because I've been leaking just a drop here and a drop there. It is definitely urine, but for the first day that it was happening I was scared to death! I had no idea if it was pee or my water breaking, so don't feel bad.

preciousangels2 - Sunday, 4 May
It very well could have been your water breaking. My water broke when I went into labor with my son and I hadn't been having any contractions what so ever. But I start having contractions about an hour or so after it broke. It wasn't a huge gush, but I had sat down to go pee and when I was done it just kept coming and coming and when it finally stopped, I stood up and more leaked out, sat down it stopped, stood up and it leaked again. Then after that it was just a little trickle here and there. I would just go get checked if I were you. Wouldn't want to risk an infection. They like to deliver the baby within 24hrs of your water breaking. Good luck!! Hope everything goes alright!

nmck - Thursday, 1 May
Michael is doing really well! We just have to wait for him to be mature enough to try bottle or breast feeding in the next week or so. It might take him time to get the hang of eating, but that is basically his last hurdle! Thank you for checking up on him. I will cross my fingers that you make it through the last couple weeks you have to go!

nmck - Wednesday, 30 April
Reading your posts about all of the school stuff you are doing makes me glad to be on maternity leave. I hope you can make it til your leave!! Good luck!
