January 10th

Today we had our first ultrasound! I was so excited I couldn't sleep last night. Daniel was smiling ear to ear the entire appointment. Unfortunately, our little one is laying across my tummy, face down so we were unable to tell the sex but it looks healthy so that's what counts, right? I waa a little bummed out after the appointment because I was so looking forward to finding out what it is but maybe next time. I guess I'll start shopping in gender neutral colours.

January 17

Had a prenantal today. I've gained 2 pounds so far so I'm pretty happy about that. However, my belly is getting very big and round....We're having another ultrasound on the 7th because our doctor was not satisfied with the images from the last one. I really want to find out then what we're having but Daniel thinks we just wait now until the baby is born...hopefully, I'll get my way. LOL

We bought our stuff for the baby's room. We found the cutest zoo animal set at Ikea and it's realyl bright and playful. We're going to paint the room yellow (the one we like is called "happiness"!) and stick to primary colours. I think it's going to look perfect!

February 8-

I had an ultrasound today because I've been having some cramping and the doctor's just wanted to be sure everything's okay. Everything is fine and we found out we're having a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Horray! We're really excited for our little man!!

March 20- 28 weeks and I can not seem to get enough sleep! I wake up a bazillion times to pee or roll on to the other hip...I am exhausted during the day! I also seem to be full of other complaints: constant foot cramps, palipatations, thirst all the time, sore joints in my lower back/butt area, hard time getting in or out of bed, sore knees, constipation...PREGNANCY IS NOT FOR THE WEAK! LOL Other than that things are going swimmingly. No more cramping, no more food aversions (actually I can't believe how hungry I am all the time)...baby is growing and moving like crazy. No real complaints...I just need sleep!!!
