My husband just deployed to Iraq and I find out I am pregnant after 6 days of pre-deployment leave. We were trying to get pregnant, but who gets pregnant in just 6 days.

11 weeks 6 days pregnant, I get up and go to the bathroom and there is a faint sign of blood. I am worried but I think that its probally ok. I have had 4 other children with no problems. I get into the shower and there is a big gush. I begin to freak out and call the doc. They tell me to come in asap. I get to the doc and they do an ultrasound and there is no baby. Just a sac and yolk. They send me to the hospital to have a DNC done. I cannot believe that I am going through this with my husband gone, and I am in Japan with my 4 kids and very little support.

After a 7 month deployment my husband returns. Its my 29th birthday!!! What a wonderful present.

I start my period!!!! Well this really sucks. I have waited for soooo long and now I cannot even make love to my husband.

Today is the day that my baby was due. I come home from a birthday party. My period was suppose to start today and it hadn't. I decide maybe I sohuld take a pregnancy test, but in my mind I know that it is going to be neg. When I took the test I see a plus sign!!!! Was I seeing things? I AM PREGNANT!!!!

I tell the docs when they set up this appointment that I refuse to wait 11 to 12 weeks before being seen. I was told that my baby that I lost stopped growing at about 8 weeks. So I want to be seen then. I go in with my 4 kids in tow and my husband and the doc does a ultrasound. He pauses, I think OMG what is wrong? He tells me there is nothing wrong. Doc says " well there is a baby here and then here is another baby here." I tell the doc he is wrong, he then shows me their little heart beats. TWINS, how did this happen? There are no twins on either side of the family. I am scared......6 kids, I only really wanted 5!!! My husband tells me that God has decided that we needed our baby back.

12 weeks 4 days-I go in for a ultrasound. To confirm the twins. The tech begins and starts to measure. I see right in between Baby A's legs.....OMG its a boy!!!! The tech gets excited and goes to take a peak at Baby B and its another boy!!!! I have 2 boys 10 and 5 and 2 girls 8 and 3!!! I asked for boys!!!! My girls are enough for me.

Febuary 19, 2008

17 weeks 3 days- I go in for another ultasound and the doc confirms that both the babies are boys, that they share a placenta, and that they are in diffrent sacs. I then begin to wonder what this all means. I tell the tec that I cannot feel the babies move. She tells me that my placenta in Anterior and that its like extra cushion. I should feel them moving really soon.

Febuary 22, 2008

17 weeks 5 days- I go in and the doc explains to me that I am having Mono/di twins. She then tells me that if I plan on having these babies in the US I need to be off island before April 6, 2008.

March 1 2008

19 weeks- Due to my moving back to the states, my friends throw me my baby shower. It was wonderful!!! I have such great friends. I got so much stuff for the boys!!!!! Even though I am in sooo much pain just seeing all the baby stuff, it makes me feel so special.

19 weeks 2 days- I wonder if this is them moving now!!!! This is the best part. But I know for sure that I am done after this.

20 weeks 5 days- I went to the doc today, we did a quick ultrasound. Both babies hearts beating strong and moving around. Doc says they are both head down and that I am a good candidate for a vaginal birth. I am relieved, I have had 4 vaginal births in the past and I really do not want to have a C-section. I have put on 9 more pounds since Feb 22, 2008 but the doc is not to concerned because she says I was under weight to begin with. I started out at 116 pounds and I am 141 pounds now. She said I should gain around 25 more before I give birth. I am getting bigger, don't fit any old clothes and even some of my small maternity clothes. All and all Doc says they look good, strong. I am hoping they stay that way. I am soooooooooooo excited!!!!

22 weeks 3 days- went for another growth ultrasound and the babies are doing well. Both weighing in at 1lb 2oz, my last appointment here in Japan is friday and then its off to the states....South Carolina here we come!!!!

March 28, 2008

22 weeks 6 days- I am now weighing in at 142lbs, scary I am going to catch up with my husband. The babies are doing good, plenty of fluid around them both and the doc says I am good to go with the flight. We leave tomorrow and its going to take about 24 hours to get there, wish us luck!!!

April 9, 2008

24 weeks 4 days- Saw my new doc today, everything is good. She did a quick ultrasound the the boys were all over the place. Checked my cervix and its still closed. I gained a few more pounds, crossing my fingers that its baby weight. We are getting settled into our new house and our new lives here.
