yeah I'm real bumed about it. They had me set up an appointment with a nutritionist and a specialist. From what I hear it could easily be controlled with exercise and diet,worst case scenario u have 2 go on medication

I'm happy 4u. Unfortunately for me I got my results and they weren't good. I've been diagnosed with gestational diabetes.

They didn't exactly say when bt I know they'll call if something's not right. I took my first glucose test on Saturday morning and they called me Monday morning to let me know I failed it. I'm pretty confident they'll call if something's wrong bt I hope they dnt call. Good Luck

Yeah I feel u. I didnt have a student bt my both arms got poked at twice, and on the same vain. I'm sooo sore. I walked out of there looking like a junkee :D I hope it works out for both of us. Let me know how it went, and I'll keep u posted too. Good Luck

Hey there I'm scheduled to take my 3 hour glucose test tomorrow 2. I was told to make sure to fast for 12 hours by the lab tech. She told me they'll draw blood when I first get there and then they'll draw every hour to see how it's affected. She told me it might even be a little more than 3 hours so take something to keep myself busy. Good luck.

Thats basicaly what i got told 2 but as far as i gather is u get blood taken from u then u have this sugary drink they leave it a while take more blood then when the 3 hours r up u have more blood taken i think its al 2 c how the sugar reacts in ur body in each different blood test but u arnt supose 2 us much enery within them 3 hours hope that helps

Hello,
To answer your question about my doc knowing my cervix was soft, I went to the hospital last Sunday because I was having contractions 15 min apart from 7am to 3pm. They hooked me up to the monitor and then i was given the dreaded exam lol. When he checked me, instead of my cervi being hard and high it was soft and low. This is pretty much par for the course for me, with my daughter I was 3 cm dilated for aboout two months before I delivered her, so it looks like my little guy is eager to make his entrance in the world as well, go figure!! Yeah, I think knowing what you're having is good, because you can get used to the idea and it's easier to bond with Baby, start thinking about names, etc. Guess if I'd been told "boy" I would've been quite fine with it, and so would the kids. Now that I know she's a girl, the only names I can come up with seem to all be boys names - figures!!

I'm having a little girl! Yay!! Kept telling myself I didn't mind either way, but I know in my heart I so wanted a girl, so I'm SO HAPPY!! My daughters are also thrilled! even my 4 year-old boy was hoping for a girl, so we're all really so pleased. Hubby says, "but boys are so much easier..." yeah, well, it's not like we have a baby because it's EASY, dear! Scan also showed that she's developing normally and all is well, which is good news, particularly as everyone tells me the risks are so high at my age. Hope your doing well too, and having a lovely day.
