Finally Pregnant!

High Risk Pregnancy - Type 1 Diabetes. We have been trying for a while (over a year) and I am so happy! I have a daughter that will be 12 in May. I cannot believe it has been over a decade since I have had her!

When I found out I was pregnant, I was finishing up some business travel (I was on a trip from Boston, MA to Germany, Spain, Finland, England & Ireland). I thought it was odd that I was agetting car, train & plane sick as I travel often and this had never occured before. So, while I was taking a walk to the local Farmer's Market (they have wonderful Farmer's Markets in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland, even in January!) I went past a pharmacy and thought "atleast I can read the directions on a pregnancy test here" and discovered that I was finally pregnant. The week that I returned we had scheduled a cruise to Honduras, Belize, the Bahamas and Mexico. Needless to say, at this point - This child is a World Traveler already!!

We are currently bulding a house and I am hoping that it will be finished before the baby is born. I am so excited to decorate the nursery in the new house. How fun!
