Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

You and I are in the same position. It sounds like our bodies are playing the same cruel trick on us. I am very discouraged right now. I thought for sure last night we'd have our baby, but everything just stopped...AGAIN! I have been going in and out of pre-labor for weeks and this is my third so I know what a real contraction feels like and I know that I am having them... but they just peter out after a while and I feel silly for even acknowledging them. I really hope that you and I both go into labor very, very soon. I sincerely sympathize with how you are feeling right now and I am sorry you're going through this delayed labor too. I am also sick of the phone calls and neighbors and family and friends all calling and stopping by and sending "is he here yet" emails. The worst is when someone calls and says, "Anything yet..?" I am tired of saying "nope, not yet, I'll call when something happens". Their anxiousness for this baby doesn't help my own. It just makes me irritated. ARG! Well, good luck to us.

i hear ya! people call and ask "have you had the baby yet? are you in labor? when will you have her?" i would have already if it was up to me! i also have consistent contractions. last night 6 minutes apart for almost 2 hours then they spread out again to 20+ minutes apart. good luck! it'll happen someday ;-)

hia! thanks for your message. Well another day and i am still here! I have a wedding to attend on the 4th may as my b/f is best man, at this rate i am not going to want to go and leave my little one :( Still having cramps and the show, you? I dont know how advanced i am because i havent had an internal examination but was told by the m/w when i phoned for some advice that the show and pains is all dilation of the cervix. I see the consultant on tues so really hoping that he will be keen to move things along although my original plan was to have babe as naturally as possible in the birthing centre (hey, there is still hope!!). Good luck and fingers crossed for this weekend, keep me informed!! :)
