Monday, 30 June I've been having contractions on and off since 28 wks, once they were so awful and I had like 20 in an hour's time I had to go to the hospital which they put me on medicine around the clock to stop them. But some advice if you're having them...I'm sure your doc's probably already told you to call if you get more than 3 or 4 in an hours time, so short of that, I would tell you what they've been telling me...drink the heck out of water when they start (seriously, b/c they will only hook you up to an iv bag of water if you go in the hosptial w/ them, to make sure you're not dehydrated, which can cause contractions) and 2nd, take it easy! Meaning, slow down whatever you're doing and rest for awhile. Good luck! :~) soon2Bmommyof3Amy -
Friday, 20 June Your baby was probably going exstatic at the nail salon b/c he was smelling everything you were. I just read today that your baby can smell everything you breath in, in the womb, pretty cool huh? Also, it's not morning sickness at this point, it's called heartburn and acid reflux, we all have it at this point b/c our uterus is pushing up on our stomach and everything else. Try eating smaller meals more often. I've got it bad too, it's awful, puking up in my mouth everytime I eat too much or even drink too much water! Gross! :) mommynicolem -
Monday, 16 June I pre-registered when I was pregnant with my 1st son. It helped immensely. There's really not that much for you to sign if you are pre-registered. I'm not sure what your doc is talking about. Now, if I had to go through registration DURING labor, I'd probably kill the poor lady that was trying to get answers out of me. I'd do it if I were you. You don't neccessarily need to do it yet. If you aren't in any risk for pre-term delivery, I'd say 34-35 weeks. I went at 35 weeks and I delivered at 37. Beeccii -
Monday, 9 June in laws!! Im pretty negative on them myself right now, and I know what you are going through-- just know that it is YOUR body and YOUR family and YOUR decision! mommynicolem -
Monday, 9 June Your MIL sounds like a real bitch. I would tell your husband she is no longer welcome in your home if she is going to disrespect you like that. If he bucks that and says "She's my MOM!" Well, you're your son's mom now and you have a right to be respected. If he wants her to come over, then you and the baby will leave. You might need to play hardball forawhile. She'll chill, don't worry. If she wants to see that baby, she will! jesstew -
Monday, 9 June Sounds like your hubby is doing a good job dealing with her..let him do it, unless she says something right to your face and you need to respond immediately, I'd let him deal with her. As far as letting her see your son, tough call.....I'm one that always thinks kids need famly around, but if she's still nasty towards him when he's born I'd discuss that with your hubby at that point. mommynicolem -
Wednesday, 4 June Don't worry. Everyone's scared right before they give birth, no matter how long it's taken them to get to that point. You WILL be fine. I promise. You will come into your own very quickly. brittg -
Tuesday, 3 June For the stretch marks, I've been using a lotion from Bath & Body Works since I got pregnant and I have yet to get any stretch marks (knock on wood
) It's called Lay it on Thick. It seems to work pretty well! Good luck! r1020 -
