Hello everyone!

My name is Erica and I am 27 years old. I am happily married to my husband Nathan for 4+ years now. We have a wonderful daughter named Nadia who will be 2 in January '08. I am currently 16 weeks pregnant and FINALLY loving it. I can feel the baby move and got over feeling crappy! It's about time. We find out the sex of the baby on Jan 24th....can't wait! Well, I hope all of you are enjoying your pregnancies and I look forward to talking with you.

Friday, 25 Jan
JAN 25thWe just had our 20wk u/s yesterday and found out we are having another little girl! We are so excited that Nadia will have a little playmate! She was moving around like crazy and wouldn `t sit still for the technician. It `s so amazing to see and so relaxing to see everything is ok! Now we can save some money because we don `t have to buy any new clothes.....well, not too many!!

Tuesday, 12 Feb
Well, I haven `t posted lately because I am having a pretty uneventful pregnancy, which is great! I am feeling really good and I can finally see her move from the outside. We have decided on naming her Eliana Reece. We have put our 2yr old in her new room and she slept in her big girl bed for the first time last night. It went really good! Everything seems to be falling in place nicely....except the potty training. That will come with time I guess! Well, my next appt is on the 21st and they will do the glucose testing..fun, fun. Hopefully, they might have an idea if I can still try a VBAC. I don `t think this baby will be as big as the last one! Keep your fingers crossed!

Wednesday, 27 Feb
Has it been a month already?? I can `t believe how fast this pregnancy is going! Well, I am getting bigger by the day and she is kicking harder and harder. We play games now and she kicks me back when I push on her! I love it! I hate this `stretching ` feeling. It is so uncomfortable to sit at a desk all day. So far the weight is good (9lbs). Last time I was up 25lbs already by this time. I just can `t wait for Eliana to get here. It is so exciting. My next appt is in 3 weeks and then I start going every 2 weeks, WOW! I will not know if I have to have a c-section until my due date. So basically, I think I will be over my due date again this time! My girlfriend is due 4 days after me (c-section) so maybe we will go on the same day! Well, I will keep you posted shortly! Where is my warm weather?? I hear 40 in a couple of days....woohooo!!

Monday, 24 Mar

Well, one more week has past! The discomforts of the 3rd trimester are starting to settle in. I can `t complain too much. It `s just my belly feeling so heavy and chasing after my 2 year old isn `t helping much! I am actually sleeping VERY well and I am so happy because I remember not sleeping at all with my last pregnancy. I got my results from my GD today and all looks good. I finally feel like this is the last mile here. Now that it will start getting warmer out (hopefully)I think the time will go by in a flash!

How`s my pregnancy doing?

Just wanted to see how you were doing. Good luck on Tues. I am being induced the same day. I'm soooo excited and nervous. Thanks for all the advice. Keep in touch.

saraha - Friday, 13 June
GOOD LUCK & I hope you can rock the Vbac!!

saraha - Thursday, 12 June
I think your doc is straight up lying to you so you won't vbac. Doc's hate vbac's. What a load of crap!

dancin-mel-08 - Wednesday, 11 June
Thanks for the advice. I know everything will be fine, I guess I'm just nervous b/c this is my first. Are you having a repeat c-section? I'm getting close to the date any mommy advice you could give, I would appreciate.

braydensmommy - Wednesday, 4 June
thanks for sharing! i pray that mine will fade, because i got them everywhere... i mean my boobs, thighs, hips, belly, and even my calves... i didnt even think you could get them there. at first i was very very sad about it but i think now i am feeling better. good luck to you and baby!!!

Wow... I need to see your doc. :) My doc laughs at me every time I talk about doing anything to help make the process go faster. I wish you luck that you don't have to have another c-section. I begged for one last time, since I was in the hospital being induced for 4 days, but they refused. However in the long run I'm glad she came naturally. I hear c-section recoveries are kinda painful.

No signs of labor for me. Last week I wasn't dialated, nor was my cervix thinned, and no mucus plug. Today my doct didn't even check me. With my 1st daughter I was due 12/31/02 and she didn't arrive until 1/9/03. *Sigh* I'm prayn I won't have to go thru that again. I would just die... How about you???

tifliyamina - Tuesday, 27 May
Yesterday it was a bit hot. I layed in front of the fan all day hoping to get some rest, but my lil' lady in my belly had other plans. I love the hot weather, but I am thankful that I'm giving birth before the consecutive 80-100's days set in. However today is just ridiculous. I wanted to run from the car into work, but i felt like my lil' one was gonna fall out. LOL... 3 wks to go :)

erica93 - Tuesday, 20 May
Thanks for your response. Which pack n play are you using. I like mine, but I have heard some bad reviews on it, so I am starting to second guess myself. Can't return it either because I threw away the box and hubbie will not be happy if I just up and buy a new one. I guess we will see how it goes once the little one gets here.

missygirl - Tuesday, 20 May
Thanks...you too!!

missygirl - Tuesday, 20 May
Thanks for your note....I guess we'll see next week when he checks me out but hopefully, Ill open up and baby can come this way. The other thing is I'm 40 years old and this is an IVF baby so we can't wait too long!!

You're welcome! I was also late with all three of my kids and remember feeling the same way with my first. I just get really worried when I hear about people drinking things like castor oil to induce labor! ICK, first of all and secondly... it could be really dangerous. My sister was on bedrest with her second baby for almost 19 weeks and ended up having her little guy at 39 weeks so he is just perfect, but she got updates every week for the last 3-4 weeks on how much development actually occurs in those final weeks. Anyway... I digress, hope you are feeling well!

denee85 - Wednesday, 14 May
I'm really not uncomfortable yet-I actually feel really good still and I'm not in a hurry to have him *I love being pregnant!!
The only reason I tried to induce starting at 38 weeks with my first baby was because they wanted to induce me and I discussed my options with a friend who was a midwife....I think in most cases a pregnancy should just be 'waited' out for the best of the baby.

Towards the end I get so tired and grumpy that I try anything to go into labor. I took red rasberry leaf capsules, mowed the grass, and of course, had sex (hubby likes that part) I can't say any of it helped becuase I never went into full blown labor but when I would go to my next check up they would tell me I was 2-3cm dilated and at least 50% efaced and did I want to go home and labor more on my own or go to the hospital and get pictocin to speed things up. I always opted for the hospital! I just didn't want my water to break in the middle of the night and have to hurry and wake up the other kids and get them to Grandma's and rush to the hospital. I don't need that drama. Congrats on your baby girl! My daughter wanted a sister SO bad but she is getting her third brother! Oh well, at least she will have her own room!

Yes, many mommies seem very ready, but their babies may not be! I am just happy that my Dr. won't stop my labor after May 24th. After that day I will be more relaxed and feel more "free". I have been having contractions and pressure and everyday I think "not yet, don't go into labor yet!" All of my babies have been between one and two weeks early so I am expecting an early baby, but I would prefer to wait until early June, better for baby.
Are you having a boy or girl?

landofsandandsun - Wednesday, 14 May
I had an ultrasound, that is how Dr. determined the weight. Baby had dropped into the pelvis and I am 1cm dilated. If labor starts on the 24th or after she will let it go but she would prefer I make it to June 1st. I love being pregant (like most women) BUT I am tired and crampy and had so much pressure in my pelvis, I AM READY!!
Hope your appt goes well!! I go weekly now!

And just so you know, it doesn't sound silly to me when you say you want to experience it. I want to feel it too. People must think were crazy!

KelseyGonzalez - Tuesday, 6 May
I hope that people don't take my comment about c-sections in the wrong way, I'm glad you understand. I just don't think some of the new moms to be understand how difficult a c-section is and the complications that can arise afterwards, it is just as hard as labor, maybe not the delivery but it is very stressful and scary! It seems like everything now is so planned. Like how boring " honey wake up it's 8:00 and were having the baby at 9:30" it's time to go to the hospital. I hope I don't have to have another c-section, thankfully the baby now has his head down so i'm hoping there is no problems :)

Thanks for the reply to my post. I will be asking my midwife about it on Monday, but I was starting to feel a little worried. I'll let you know what she says.

mariela14 - Friday, 2 May
Wow...yeah it's amazing how awful everyone feels. I didn't know if anyone else felt good still or if I was the only one. lol. I do wake up quite a few times in the night but that's about it. Congratulations!
