PLEASE CLICK BELOW TO SEE MY WEIGHT LOSS PROGRESS!!!

http://TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/wHLXgsR/">

Hello everyone!

Well, 2 weeks have gone by and it is definitely a SLOW process! I am happy that I lost 4in in the first week but now I think I should be doing that every week. No such luck. I am definitely fitting into more of my pre-pregnancy clothes but have a ways to go on my stomach yet! I am trying not to get discouraged as I am only 11 weeks pp.

Here are my measurements after 2 weeks:

Everything is the same except Waist is 33in (see below) - I guess 4in in my waist isn't too bad :)

It is August 28th, 10 weeks pp and I am one week into my weight loss "program" of losing 20lbs. I should've actually had a goal of losing in inches. I took my measurements last week because I figured that would be a better way of tracking my progress. Well, within the first week I have lost 4in total!! That made me feel SOOO good as I didn't expect much to happen in the first week (and I didn't even exercise that much). Here is my progress and my starting measurements:

Starting measurements:

Hips - 41in, Waist - 37in, Bust - 40in, Thigh - 23in, Arm - 12in

After 1 week:

40in, 35in, 39in and 12in

It is August 21st, 9 weeks pp, and my first day on my way to losing 20lbs. I am now 150 give or take and 5'3". My weight at time of birth was 176 (gained 30lbs during pregnancy). My goal is to get back down to 130. This is my pre-pregnancy weight from before my 1st daughter (2006). It's gonna be some hard work but I am ready. LOVE breastfeeding, but it is not doing the trick for me and my weight loss. Wish me luck and I will post a new pic every week.

Last week my 5 yr old went from calling me "mommy" to being called "mom." I thought I would be "mommy" for a few more years a least. So sad!

How funny! I'm not in a hurry for Carter to grow up either. I love the tiny baby stage (minus the limited sleeping) and couldn't imagine him being able to stand up or sit up for that matter. My 2 yr. old, Jake, started walking at 10.5 months and I was devestated. He went from a baby to a big boy in days. How's your little girl with the baby? Jake is all over him like glue. He is kissing him constantly and always trying to wake him up. He has regressed a little since Carter was born. He "neeeeeeds" to be carried. He "can't" put his toys away. He's so funny. I am just rolling with it though, because I know it must be hard for him to share his mommy time.

Yeah that makes sense about the surgery vs vaginal birth. You know, I really wish my dr would've explained all of this stuff to me prior to giving birth! Just so I would've been a little more prepared.
I guess I got a little overly-confident w/ my weight loss... b/c I tried on some other jeans, etc, that I used to wear and, uh, let's just say I'm lucky I was able to get that one pair of shorts on! If I really sucked in I could get the others buttoned & stuff, but I had a major muffin-top going on! I definitely still have a ways to go...
Good luck w/ the weight loss... keep me posted! I'll definitely be there to cheer you on! :)

Just curious... do you think the saggy belly problem is worse when you have a c-section? I'm just wondering. If we have a 2nd, I really would like to try a VBAC b/c I hated the healing from the c-section. So it'd be an added bonus if I didn't have to deal w/ the saggy belly as bad! :)
One good thing though... I actually wore a pair of pre-pregnancy shorts today! I couldn't believe they fit! They were much tighter than before, but I was just excited to get them zipped up!

mommad - Friday, 22 August
i pump 3 oz a day. it's hard to pump when she's nursing every two hours. since she sleeps all night i pump then and store. maybe i will have enough stored before oct 6!

mplsmama - Thursday, 21 August
I also had a c-section & have a major saggy belly... I sure hope it's not true that it never goes away! :\ I've been walking, and recently running, but I guess I could stand to do a few more sit-ups in all of my spare time... :)

nah- all that really matters is that you grew a healthy baby and if you come out with more baggage than b4 (as I did) then you can rest in the fact that your baby got the best nutrition in-utero and you really did a good job. But it is hard to get your body back I know that from experience. with my 1st pregnancy I went from 110-115 to 182 and that's a lot of weight for my body, it took 2 more pregnancies b4 I got back to the same weight range, this time I still have 14 lbs left before I'm back to where I started this one at, I was a size 6-7 and now my butt is in a 11-13, hips are never really the same after a baby, though u may get back to the same weight, your hips will always bear the look of motherhood LOL but I can handle the shapely hips, adds a more womanly figure than a teen HA HA.
Don't be hard on yourself, I love that site cuz there's lots of encouragement and lot of love and sympathy (or empathy?? ) there are great christian groups on there too, wonderful.

Hi, I'm not sure about abdominal workouts after a c section, but you should be able to do some light belly workouts at least. I know just what you're talking about with the belly though, after my 3rd I didn't work out and just nursed and I did get down to 114 at 5'6" but my belly was a jelly belly and it made me look bigger than I should have been. So this time I am working out hard. I'm on spark people and if you join the site then you'll have to choose the option that you're not pregnant or breastfeeding or it'll redirect you to babyfit. I am nursing exclusively though, and the site has set me up with a 1200 to 1550 calorie diet, but I usually go a little over with about 1600 or 1700 (a meal just for baby) I do cardio 3 days a week 30 minutes and burn between 750 and 800 calories during that (stationary bike at 35+mph), which is going to be your main helper in getting rid of the belly flab (muscle weighs more than fat, so while you might be around the same weight as before, your body fat content is higher, but as you start to build muscle you will weigh more at first then the fat will be metabolized by the muscles after a few weeks) I also do strength training 2 days a week, so the scale really isn't a good measuring device for bodily progress a tape measure is way more accurate, but I love sparkpeople, u should definitely join and when it asks you who referred you my username is ryansgrl4. Oh and I should also add that my milk supply hasn't changed at all, I also thought it would decrease or taste bad but I found that that is only an assumption not a proven fact (and babies do like the saltiness of an after workout nursing session). But still take in a little extra for the baby and make healthy food choices, that website has awesome recipes and everything you can imagine, exercises and fitness tracker, along with meal ideas to keep you within your calorie range and nutrition tracker. I think you'll like it. It gives you a date that you can reach your goals safely without harming your body. weight and measurement trackers too. Hope this helps.

Just wanted to see how you were doing. Good luck on Tues. I am being induced the same day. I'm soooo excited and nervous. Thanks for all the advice. Keep in touch.

GOOD LUCK & I hope you can rock the Vbac!!

saraha - Thursday, 12 June
I think your doc is straight up lying to you so you won't vbac. Doc's hate vbac's. What a load of crap!

dancin-mel-08 - Wednesday, 11 June
Thanks for the advice. I know everything will be fine, I guess I'm just nervous b/c this is my first. Are you having a repeat c-section? I'm getting close to the date any mommy advice you could give, I would appreciate.

oh good!! thanks for the advice! i may have to tell them to just give it to me right away just in case. haha, im pretty paranoid about things like that. ive heard from everyone that the iv was the worst part. i just had to get one the other day and yuck!! thank god its no worse than that! thanks again for the help. i think ive bypassed the worried stage and im just excited now. its hard when you dont know exactly how its gonna be! good luck to you!!

braydensmommy - Wednesday, 4 June
thanks for sharing! i pray that mine will fade, because i got them everywhere... i mean my boobs, thighs, hips, belly, and even my calves... i didnt even think you could get them there. at first i was very very sad about it but i think now i am feeling better. good luck to you and baby!!!

tifliyamina - Tuesday, 27 May
Wow... I need to see your doc. :) My doc laughs at me every time I talk about doing anything to help make the process go faster. I wish you luck that you don't have to have another c-section. I begged for one last time, since I was in the hospital being induced for 4 days, but they refused. However in the long run I'm glad she came naturally. I hear c-section recoveries are kinda painful.

tifliyamina - Tuesday, 27 May
No signs of labor for me. Last week I wasn't dialated, nor was my cervix thinned, and no mucus plug. Today my doct didn't even check me. With my 1st daughter I was due 12/31/02 and she didn't arrive until 1/9/03. *Sigh* I'm prayn I won't have to go thru that again. I would just die... How about you???

tifliyamina - Tuesday, 27 May
Yesterday it was a bit hot. I layed in front of the fan all day hoping to get some rest, but my lil' lady in my belly had other plans. I love the hot weather, but I am thankful that I'm giving birth before the consecutive 80-100's days set in. However today is just ridiculous. I wanted to run from the car into work, but i felt like my lil' one was gonna fall out. LOL... 3 wks to go :)

erica93 - Tuesday, 20 May
Thanks for your response. Which pack n play are you using. I like mine, but I have heard some bad reviews on it, so I am starting to second guess myself. Can't return it either because I threw away the box and hubbie will not be happy if I just up and buy a new one. I guess we will see how it goes once the little one gets here.

missygirl - Tuesday, 20 May
Thanks...you too!!

missygirl - Tuesday, 20 May
Thanks for your note....I guess we'll see next week when he checks me out but hopefully, Ill open up and baby can come this way. The other thing is I'm 40 years old and this is an IVF baby so we can't wait too long!!
