BIRTH STORY:

My water broke at work (at 3:30)! He was still really high (-3 station) so it was a gusher. My friend took me to the hospital. Merritt called Pat because I couldn't get him on the phone. It was so funny at work, everyone was buzzing around. I was still just 2 cm and 80% effaced. So they started me on pitocin and it didn't take long before I was having serious contractions right on top of each other.
I got my epidural at 9pm. I was dialating 1 cm and hour. Then I started feeling the contractions again in my bum. I talked the nurse and anestitist into giving me some more meds and was able to sleep for an hour until we discovered I was 10 cm. I pushed for an hour and a half. Good God! I was looking in the mirror and saw his head come to the edge and then sink back in. Once his head came out, the doc told me to wait, she was going to stretch my perinium, and I just grunted and out he came. I ripped a little, just a couple of stitches. I dry heaved a few times and actually threw up once. Pat left the room not long after that for a few minutes. The doc and nurse were looking at me like wtf? He stood off to the side during labor and my mom helped me push.

Pat cut the cord. He followed Taylor to the warmer and the nursery. He even put his first diaper on him. He came back that night with toys for him and he held him for two hours. And then came back twice the next day. We got discharged before he could get back on Friday and he had to go out of town this weekend. Everything is wonderful and I feel so blessed. I wish that I could've had this when I was PG with Em. There was NO ONE who was in my position at that time. I lost my Best Friend over the pregnancy, she couldnt deal w/ it all & later suffered a mc. I told my mother off last night in my dreams! I have the wierdest dreams, usually I dream abt food!

I can't wait!!! Jon would LOVE a boy but I think its a girl. I am actually pretty sure in some weird way. Did you go with the name Conner? I honestly haven't taken a single belly picture. Don't know if I ever will. I have out on 11 pounds!!! How are you feeling?

I'm tiny...and still am. Those 20 lbs aren't showing at all. I was told it might be water retention. I'm not too concerned with my weight, never have been.

Not yet, not ready for the negativity. I met my husband when Em was barely 2, he wanted to be her father, but my mother HATED him and tried to ruin our relationship as much as she possibly could. I left Jeff over drugs several times and recently reunited our 2 daughters with him after 5 yrs. In the time that we were apart, he got clean & sober & straighten out his life, finally for HIMSELF. And so now, after 15 yrs, we are finally married & are a family. Em didn't want us to marry and refuses to try to be apart of our family, even tho Jeff has always considered her HIS daughter too. Oh and I just realized what else we have in common! Em's dad's name is PAT. I do wish Em would tell me what caused the rift between them, I think that it has a lot to do with a stepmother who thinks that she is her MOTHER. Keep me posted & take care.

Hey Rachel! My 1st borns father/sob reacted the same cowardly way back in 1988 when I told him abt our baby. Denied it until it was proven that he was the Dad, then all of a sudden he wanted to RAISE her with his new wife.17 yrs later, Em met her Dad & stepmom & halfsis and it only took 2 mths for her to realize that she wasnt missing much. I personally wish that she had never met him, then her feelings wouldn't have gotten hurt so bad. ANYWAY, congrats on your little BOY and one word of advise~when they ask MEDS?? Say EPIDURAL!

Hey thanks for the info.No I don't have much of a bump yet,I think I'm finally back up to my prepregnancy weight but my pants don't fit anymore!Must be my expanding hips:)I had my first 2 naturally no drugs so hopefully this one will be the same. Keep me posted.

Hey there,just saw your comment about c-sect. and I had no idea about the fluid in their lungs etc.Nice to hear new things.I agree I wouldn't want my child to come into the world that way,I think there are too many horror stories about the pain etc and now people,especially first time moms are just looking for the easy way out. Hope all goes well for you,best wishes.

Oh I know how you feel about the church. Been there done that :) I have learned that nobody's opionion is going to change the fact that I am most definitley pregnant :) Yeah the baby moves alot on my belly too. Its neat. Nobody can feel it but me though. I cant wait to find out! I bet being in church felt good though. Besides the eyes I always feel so safe there.

Yes I love pitbulls, my husband and I have 3 and they are my pride and joy next to having the baby!! Congrats on the pregnancy and the baby boy! I don't find out until August 9! But I can't wait, its eating me alive!!

Ok, I got some ultra sound pictures on there....no boy here!! (lol) I had to ask if they took video of baby...they did not offer. I had to bring my own tape of course. I just remembered getting it done with my son. So next time ask because they don't offer. Not sure why

It looks like a boy to me. I just had a ultra sound done on Monday and I am having a girl. I have not gotmy ultra sound picture up yet but have a video of it on my vip page and there is no mistaking the girl....there is nothing there. (lol)
