BIRTH STORY:

My water broke at work (at 3:30)! He was still really high (-3 station) so it was a gusher. My friend took me to the hospital. Merritt called Pat because I couldn't get him on the phone. It was so funny at work, everyone was buzzing around. I was still just 2 cm and 80% effaced. So they started me on pitocin and it didn't take long before I was having serious contractions right on top of each other.
I got my epidural at 9pm. I was dialating 1 cm and hour. Then I started feeling the contractions again in my bum. I talked the nurse and anestitist into giving me some more meds and was able to sleep for an hour until we discovered I was 10 cm. I pushed for an hour and a half. Good God! I was looking in the mirror and saw his head come to the edge and then sink back in. Once his head came out, the doc told me to wait, she was going to stretch my perinium, and I just grunted and out he came. I ripped a little, just a couple of stitches. I dry heaved a few times and actually threw up once. Pat left the room not long after that for a few minutes. The doc and nurse were looking at me like wtf? He stood off to the side during labor and my mom helped me push.

Pat cut the cord. He followed Taylor to the warmer and the nursery. He even put his first diaper on him. He came back that night with toys for him and he held him for two hours. And then came back twice the next day. We got discharged before he could get back on Friday and he had to go out of town this weekend. Everything is wonderful and I feel so blessed. Hey-just read your post about your little ones tummy-have you tried the tummy drops? My son had the noisiest tummy and he would pull his legs up and jerk them back down-like his tummy hurt so I tried these and they woked wonders-If it is a lactose intollerance i would call the dr. I am that way and I grew up on goats milk (YUCK) but that is all i could drink-I heard soy milk is ok your young ones. Hope this helps-keep your head up-your a strong one to do this alone! I was a single mom with my first son and i know how hard it is and I have alot of respect for you moms who are doing it. Hugs to you!

That is awful that Pat hasnt seen Taylor in 3 weeks and I guess he lives in the same town and has no excuse. I told Will that when he moves back it is either going to be all or nothing. I dont want him coming around at random times and at his convience. I have no family here, and I had a job offer to transfer back to NC and I would only be 30 minutes away from my dad. Will said he would be in 100%, but actions speak louder than words. His mother has only seen kendall one time and refused to hold her. His dad saw her once and didnt even want to look at her. His sister lives right down the road from me and they have made no attempt to stop by or see how she is. He said that his mother wants to be in her life, but I have strong hestitations about it or even allowing it after the way they have acted. Kendall has my last name because Will didnt deserve her or that honor at that time. We are going to court for child support and get everything in order legally in case something would ever happen to me.
Being on our own cab be a good thing..because we do not have to listen to anyone else or compromise what we know is right. Taylor has your side of the family and plenty of love, so do not worry about Pat's side. I can assure you they will regret it later and it will be too late. They have to live with their poor actions and poor morales.
God, I cannot get over how cute Taylors little cow lick is and his little smile. They are so fun at this age. We should savor it now and pretty soon they will be crawling and walking and we wont ever get this time back.

No problem...thats what we get on here for is support...I have had days where I just go in the bathroom and sit on the edge of the tub in tears...it is normally when me and DH get in an argument, or we are both stressed, etc. There are times I think it is easier for single moms because then there are no expectations, you just do what you have to do...with a hubby, you have certain expectations that dont always get met...lol...hes a great guy though, so I cant fault him too much. We both have our days!

definitely sounds like teething...they do spit up more because of swallowing all the excessive drool. Hyland's works well and tylenol gets us through the worse times...they pull away because the nipple can put painful pressure on those already sore gums too. I did read that the period may go away after a year of Mirena, but you just never know... you are sooooo lucky to not have one!
