HI Everyone!!! I found out I was pregnant on November 13, 2007 which ironically is the day my husband and I had our first date 6 years ago!!! This is our first baby. A little boy and we are naming him Kylan Brian. Kylan was my brother's name. He was killed by a drunk driver in 2003, so we felt it was the best name for him!!! My husband Brian and I are so excited about our little boy who is due to come on July 25th, 2008. I can't wait to meet him and look into his beautiful eyes! I am just hoping I could be as good a mother to my son as my mother was to me. If I could be half the mother she is then I'll be just fine!!!

i had a dream the other night that i got struck my lightning! what the heck is that about! i woke up sweating cuz i was preggo in my dream and i thought it was going to hurt my baby! LOL!

Angiepangie - Tuesday, 15 July
About the dreams...I've had a bad/strange one almost every night! If it isn't about the pregnancy, its about my 5 year old being lost or me in some kind of servitude. Last night I had a dream that I was a concubine from the Egyptian period and I stitched another concubine's mouth shut as punishment for back-talking our 'owner'...I woke up feeling terrible! No more watching the movie '300' before bedtime...too gory!

I had a c-section on a Monday June 30th and 9 p.m. and they had me walking the next day like at 7 a.m. Sorry for TMI that is going to follow, but for me the first walk really hurt because of the urine pressure down there and all the gas pain. They're going to keep asking you if you passed gas and if you've had a bowl movement. You feel so bloated it hurts because you want to pass gas but you can't. I was able to pass gas until wednesday and have a bowl movement till friday! I don't know if you're hospital will provide you with this, but take some Colace which is a stool softner and some gas relief medicine in your bag so that you can take it in the hospital. Drink a lot of water and try to walk after every meal to get things moving along your intestines. I was able to bend over on Saturday and now I feel much better, but I'm not pushing it because I don't want to risk opening anything up.

Hi! I had an emergency c-sect with my little one. The biggest piece of advice I can give you is use your prescription for pain pills and get up and MOVE around as much as possible as soon as possible. If you can go for walks, do that. I started walking the day after I got home from the hospital, not far, but enough to help get over the pain. Do take the nurses advice and try not to lift anything heavier than your baby. Good luck!

I had an emergency c section with my son. It was in the evening around six. I felt groggy and drained that night but I was sitting up and holding my baby and walking the next day. I was in the hospital for two days after the surgery. Two days after being home I was back to cleaning and cooking. Didn't have any problems to speak of.

jessnkirk - Friday, 11 July
hello, nothin yet, its 6:07 pm here and nothin yet, they will check me at 8pm , i am so bored, nothin to do, did the walking thing, did the tv thing, i have been eating like crazy cause there is nothing to do.

ABCMommy - Thursday, 10 July
I had a c-sec and would love to tell you that it's no big deal but it wasn't. I started walking around without serious serious pain meds and driving again around week 3 and that was me pushing my self. I'm 8 weeks post op now and can run and do everything except sit-ups (cause I pushed to soon to do everything and ripped my lower ab muscles where they had cut. Point is please don't push yourself and expect to still be "acting" like your 42 weeks prego for a good month after it, but it's worth and don't be afraid of taking pain meds. You'll survive :-)

megcantwaitforherfirst - Thursday, 10 July
i have a question i read your post about your Tietze syndrome and i am beginning to wonder if i have the same thing for the past month i have been having unbearable pain in my right rib cage area the babys kicks are lower now that she has dropped so i kno it isnt her but i cant roll over in bed get off of the couch or turn or sometimes even drive my car because it hurts so much to move i was wondering if this is what you are going through or am i totally off... i hope you feel better

CCQ - Thursday, 10 July
Best advice I can give you is to take it easy!!!! When they say rest, they mean it. I didn't and my incision opened some and that part hurts so bad now even though the rest is totally healed. It is gross. And, if you have any pain with your incision, tell your dr right away. I waited and kept thinking it would get better and it wasn't. I didn't wait until my 2 week check up, thank goodness, but I still ended up with an infection and on antibiotics. The whole csection wasn't bad at all, I just kept talking to my husband and waiting to hear my daughter's first cries. It was magic! Good luck and take it easy!!!!!

carolynjh - Wednesday, 9 July
LOL I think my hubby will appreciate the "stron sausage" compliment, I'll have to tell him that

Hi, normally when I get a period i get cramps in my pelvis and thighs. Almost like the feeling my overies are going to explode. It is a good sign to hear that you feel period like cramps too. Thanks for your post.
