HI Everyone!!! I found out I was pregnant on November 13, 2007 which ironically is the day my husband and I had our first date 6 years ago!!! This is our first baby. A little boy and we are naming him Kylan Brian. Kylan was my brother's name. He was killed by a drunk driver in 2003, so we felt it was the best name for him!!! My husband Brian and I are so excited about our little boy who is due to come on July 25th, 2008. I can't wait to meet him and look into his beautiful eyes! I am just hoping I could be as good a mother to my son as my mother was to me. If I could be half the mother she is then I'll be just fine!!!

Well at least we are not alone! And it looks like there are a few people who said they have never had them either, but they still delivered a few days early or right on time. I LOVE being pregnant, but I really don't want to go past my due date. I guess we will see :)

kla2200 - Friday, 30 May
Haha, no worries...its all relative as far as what you are used to! Good luck to you too!

I know, I'm kinda jealous of you Americans and the options you guys get in terms of inductions and c-sections and stuff ... In Canada they really don't like to interfere until 1-2 weeks overdue, and even then it's like pulling teeth to get the doc to do something for you ... My friend was contracting and dilated for over a month with that 10 pounder and finally ended up getting induced, but seriously ... she was soooooo uncomfortable!

carolynjh - Thursday, 29 May
Wooo Hooooo! I wish I had those to wear at my sisters wedding last pregnancy, I am so going to order some! thanks :)

lizzie287 - Thursday, 29 May
No she didn't say a word. "Oh, 36, that's great" and then on to the heartbeat. Where I am though they don't really like to induce unless it's a week past your due date. My friend just gave birth to a 10 pound baby a week past her due date. They knew he was gonna be huge, but they just left him in there to keep on cookin... I wouldn't worry though if your doctor isn't worried.

They gave me mylant in the hospital while I was pregnant with my last daughter. Unless something has changed in the past two years, I think you will be alright.

margysd - Wednesday, 28 May
Thanks, I just figured that it would be one more thing that I do not have to think about and can focus on labor and delivery.

I've decided since I can't see, and nobody seems bothered but me, we're going all 70's now, no more shaving, too hard...but a huge reason why I miss her!

My mother keeps telling me I need to speak up as well but I feel like ever since his mother died the glue that held them together did to. I keep trying to not make a big deal out of things and keep my cool but being the one that is here all day trying to keep up everything is just rough. There are days where I make up excuses to leave the house just so I can calm myself down. I mean the man takes my laundry out of the dryer and its still dripping cause he thinks he is helping. It just cause more work for me. Ah I need a private island to stay on lol.

cosmomama - Friday, 23 May
no problem! I am the same way you are! I ask questions allll the time to my doc. I even called once because my baby was being overly active and going crazy for 30 minutes! lol but there is nothing wrong with a worried pregnant woman, it just means we care!

Number2intheOven - Friday, 23 May
Yes, please let me know! I hope things are ok.....but I'm sure he'll probably flip around. If not, stand on your head lol, just joking

carolynjh - Friday, 23 May
Ha! The Smithaven Mall was where I got my ears pierced when I was 8 lol. I went to Hiawatha Elementary and my sisters when to Sachem North and South. Wierd huh? Yeah, my parents left because it was getting too built up but I still miss it a little :)

cosmomama - Thursday, 22 May
hey. I read your post about your baby's position. I went tot the doctor last week and asked if my baby was breech, they said they didnt know yet (i dont know HOW they know if they dont do an ultrasound) but they said it doesnt matter yet anyways and that the baby still has about 4-5 weeks to turn before they are concerned. My baby kicks ALL over the place, so Im not sure where he is, but he definitely kicks my bladder a lot too. I wouldnt worry about it until a few weeks from now, but of course talk to your doc. They all say something deifferent, I am learning. My, however, says its too early to worry about breech. Hope that helps!

Number2intheOven - Thursday, 22 May
I asked my doc that question last appointment, about shouldn't he be head down? He said they generally do by 36 weeks but right now they still have room to play.

carolynjh - Thursday, 22 May
omg, I am from Ronkonkoma! I was born at the Smithtown hospital! Funny :) I haven't been back in forever. Where did you go to Elementary school? I moved in 1991.

carolynjh - Thursday, 22 May
Thanks for backing me on the smoking issue, I hope more people post messages like yours :) Congrats on your little one :)!!!

my baby is kicking low or at the sides...hasn't come near my ribs (yet)...I am pretty long in the torso though and it sounds as though you might be as well...if this is your first, I think they wait a little longer before confirming csection? Hope so as my little guys has no interest in being head down right now. There are a few safe yoga poses that you can do to help your baby flip the right way...the cat and cow pose is good, but check with your doctor as I'm sure they could recommend a few...good luck!!!

What I think I've heard is that (OB told me something like this) often 1st babies drop (mine did around 36-37 weeks I think) but subsequent ones often don't (mine haven't)

Number2intheOven - Wednesday, 21 May
You're sooo lucky! You got another one? I had my gender ultrasound at 16 weeks. I'm so paranoid lol. I saw it there and she said, that's a boy part. But what if it was the cord? She didn't send me any pics of the anatomy for me to look at and rest assured. I think I'm going to pay for a gender screen to be sure. Plus, i want to see him again, I haven't seen him since 16 weeks :(

Thanks for your comment!
I definatly believe more that it would have to do with nerve endings rather than gas ..just bc the pain is sensitive and sore...so that makes sense!
Its very uncomfortable but oh well...guess its just one of those things we have to deal with!

I too had sciatic pain for an entire week. Tried everything from ice pack to tylenol and still could not walk. Finally went to the chiropractor and three visits later it is 100 % gone. If the pain is absolutely unbearable as was mine, I recommend seeing the chiropractor, it's completely safe. Good Luck

MommyWonder - Monday, 12 May
I'm having the same exact burning sensation right under my breasts and I thought it was odd. I'm guessing it's the uterus stretching out the skin since that's where the top of mine is now. Congrats on the pregnancy!
