I am about to be a single mom... not the way I planned my life going but I believe in God's plan for me and I have faith that it will all work out. I am over joyed at what motherhood brings to a woman. I can't wait until she is born. Her name is going to be Kailani, which is Hawaiian for "From the Heavenly Seas," since I am part pacific islander and was living in Hawaii until I got pregnant. I plan on returning once I have this whole new mom thing down, for now I am utilizing my Mom as a resource of support and knowlege in North Carolina. Things are going well and I have some how managed to get all the baby necessities in a timely manor. Once again, I can't wait to be a mom... It is what I was place on this earth to do!

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

my doctor also said she didn't want to do an internal...do I have no idea either what is going on down there. She said she only does internals when the labour needs to progress and otherwise doesn't like to 'disturb the peace'.

hopefully you will get checked this week and me too. ha ha ha... i was not checked with the other two though. i like what one mother said, which is that you can be dilated and still weeks away so not to sweat it. i will try to think that way. ha ha ha

I have used lanolin with my first baby. But I only applied it after they were purple and scabbing (baby only opened her mouth a little and didnt' latch properly). It is completely natural so I don't see how it would hurt to put a bit on now. Be warned though it's very thick, just apply a little wee bit! It's also very greasy.... Don't worry about going into labour because you are applying it to your nipples... from what I've read you would have to stimulate them for a VERY LONG time for them to bring on labour. Besides you are almost there anyway. Take care, sending easy labour/delivery dust your way!

welcome to the site and congrats. i have not been checked either. my doctor says she does not start checking until 38 wks. I was never checked for my other two so I did not even hear of being checked until i logged into this site. don't worry. just hope you are getting some action when you feel BH (braxton hicks).
