Hello and welcome to my page!

My name is Rachel, or Rach to my friends. I have been married to my wonderful husband Steve since July 2006, we met in Feb 2003.

I have been a member of IAP for sometime now, looking to make friends with ladies in any situation; TTC, pregnant, a new mummy, an experienced mummy......you are all welcome as my friend!!

In August 2007 we started TTC our first child. We fell pregnant in the same month but sadly lost our baby on 25th Oct 07. In Feb 08 we felt ready to try again and fell pregnant the same month, only to lose the baby straight away on 10th March 08. After another break, we decided to TTC in June 08 and again fell pregnant immediately but lost the baby on 15th August 08.

We picked ourselves up after the third loss and tried again Oct 08. We fell pregnant at the end of Nov 08 and it was confirmed on 4th Dec 08.

We were over the moon but as you can imagine very scared because of the three times our hearts had already been broken. I am so so happy to say my fourth pregnancy was 'the one' after multiple scans and alot of rainbows (see explanation below!)

My beautiful baby girl Emily-Rose arrived on Friday 21st August 2009 at 15.57. Weighing in at 8lbs and 15oz. I absolutely adore my perfect baby, she and my husband are my world.

I LOVE rainbows, you are going to think I am crazy, but they seem to shine in the sky every single time I need to be strong. From the one I saw on the day before I took the HPT, the one that shone over the hospital before my reassurance scan, to the one on day I went into labour, they always arrive right on time. Rainbows are formed after a storm or rain shower, when the sun begins to shine - a perfect description of my journey to motherhood....the sun is certainly shining now :)
