Hey ladies...sorry its been so long. I have been tryin to keep busy and the internet has not been on my agenda. I have been hanging in there... its been hard. I will post up the story soon.. its gonna be a long story to type so thats why I think I have waited so long. I do miss my babygirl. I named her Adrianna Renee. 11 oz and 9.5 inches. She was beautiful. When I load the pics and everything I will let everybody know. Thank you for all the support from everybody, it means so much! I hope everybody is doing well and having great pregnancies!

Having a little girl is sooooo wonderful, I'm sure you'll love it! And it's funny that Josh does the same thing Kevin did when we first found out about Bekah last year. I came home one afternoon and there were all these cute little dresses hanging on our coat pegs! lol! It's too cute how the men are with their girls!

You made good money with your sale! That's fantastic! The Carl Junction citywide is on the 4th and I'm looking forward to hopefully finding the last of what I need.

For your appointments they should do the usual weight and BP and heartbeat check. I'm not sure when Fogerty started measuring my belly last time but I think it should be soon...just to make sure you're still growing on track. At your appointment after next you'll probably take the glucose test for gestational diabetes. You just have to fast overnight and then drink this orange drink...tastes like flat orange soda to me...then wait and hour and they draw your blood to see where your sugar is at. After that appointment it's just more of the boring stuff until you hit 36 weeks where they start checking your cervx for dilation and effacement! Hopefully that time will come fast! lol! I'm getting more and more excited just typing about it! Thank God the Fall is full of all sorts of fun holidays to keep ourselves busy with, right? And just think of how awesome your holiday times will be next year with you baby girl to celebrate with! I know we're really excited to celebrate this year with Bekah!!!

Hey! Yes, it's definitely sinking in and we're getting more and more excited about little Noah. We made about $45 at the sale and spent more like $150! lol! But we got him a car seat and a bunch of clothes and shoes and we got Bekah a walking toy and most of her fall/winter clothes. Between the two kids it's something like 35 outfits and sleepers! Oh, and I found this John Lennon blanket from the Carter's line of crib bedding. I paid $1.50 for it and will be able to resell it on Ebay for $25!!! Crazy, huh? I know you had your sale, but did you end up making over to the big one at all? It was pretty picked over by Friday afternoon but I was lucky enough to have a seller's pass for Thursday night.

How did your garage sale go? Did you still have a good turnout even though the weather was kind of crappy?

Looks like I'm shopping for blue on Friday!!!

Oh that's a really nice idea about the meet the baby party. If I chose a theme it would be diapers! lol! Hopefully this baby will be fine in cheapies like big sister is! We use cloth at home so one box of cheapo brand lasts me a month with Bekah...but I know a newborn uses WAAAYYYYYY more diapers per day. And the cloths won't fit the new baby until it's about 3 months or so. Anyhow, I'll let you know the verdict when I return tomorrow! xoxox

Oooohhhhh I LOVE how they finally put a Babies R Us here in Joplin!!! It's really nice, don't you think? I heard from a friend they're having a great clearance sale on baby clothes so I should check there for clothes for Bekah for next summer. I also need to get to Target because they have the soft-soled baby shoes Bekah needs since she's just learning to walk. They're really really cute, too!

I just don't know what to think about a babyshower this time around. My friend threw one for me last year and not one person showed up! We waited at the park in the beautifully decorated pavilion for an hour and a half, just eating the cake and feeling sorry for ourselves! I don't know if the invitations were sent too early or too late but I do know there were a few RSVP's that were supposed to come but didn't. It was really pathetic. And we have no family here since we're both from NY and that's where everyone is. Thank God some family bought us some stuff off our registry! We still had to buy the bulk of things but that helped tremendously. Do you think it would be silly to try and have another shower? I was just thinking a diaper shower with games and cake and goodies. I kind of feel like I missed out, ya know?

What about you...do you have a shower date set?

Rebekahs-mama - Monday, 8 September
Woohoo! I know! Only 2 more days now! Can you tell I'm excited? :) So where did you end up registering? We decided to register at Wal-Mart just because of the site-to-store shipping option which makes it free for our family members when they buy our stuff online. (We're out here all alone except for one bro and his wife). It is VERY overwhelming for your first baby. I totally know what it's like trying to figure out all of what you need. And it's inevitable that there are things you need after the baby comes that you'd never think of! Oh that, and also you find there are a lot of things you purchased that you never use or the baby doesn't like. Bekah never did like her swing or her exersaucer...two expensive things! Hopefully the new baby will like them better so I don't feel like we wasted our money!

Yes, JC Penney has been one of my prime maternity shopping places. They have really great sales. I got a pair of capris for $4.99 just a couple weeks ago! Oh, and since the babydoll tops are so popular right now I've found that I can get some really cute ones that flatter my belly really nicely. They're just like maternity tops which is funny to me. I can't imagine wearing that style normally because I think they make everyone look pregnant! lol! I can't stand most of the maternity tops I find in the stores for the exact reason you said...so unflattering! Do they seriously think a pregnant woman feels sexy in polka dots? Or are we not supposed to look sexy? lol!

It's scary to think about all the extra costs a baby can bring. So overwhelming! Oh, and it was so shocking how many diapers Bekah went through in one day when we first brought her home! I had no clue! Let's just say we're starting right now and buying one bag of diapers per week for the new baby! That way we'll have a great headstart. Have you bought anything for your daughter, yet? Or will you be having a baby shower? At least all the huge expenses are taken care of before the baby arrives! We were really happy to find a crib and double stroller last weekend at a yard sale. Thank God! I wasn't really sure what we'd do if we didn't find another crib (since Bekah's still using hers!). The stroller could have waited but we're glad to have it bought and paid for.

Anyhow, only 5 more days until my scan! YAY! I've had a feeling it's a girl all along but got kind of rattled when everyone was having boys. It sure seems like the girls are catching up, though! lol! Hopefully we'll know where we stand in the ranks next Wednesday!

Well, I hope you have a great weekend. Take care! Amanda

I just got up from the nicest nap and I feel so refreshed! I wish I could tuck one of those into my day every day!

I know what you mean about the expense of maternity clothes. It can be outrageous if you don't catch a heck of a sale somewhere. I really need to get some jeans and I can't seem to find any for less than $40! I know they'll be worth it but even then I'll only have the one pair which I constantly have to wash. So frustrating. And I'm hard on my maternity clothes because I'm soooo clumsy while pregnant. It's really insane! I think I went through 3 or 4 shirts last year that I can't even bring myself to wear this time around because they have stains and holes...such a mess! lol! And I hate looking slobby! Thank God for huge t-shirts, right? At leats I'm not working this year so I only bother wearing my nicer shirts when I go out.

I didn't realize you had another house to sell. I hope the offer was good and things will progress on the sale. We're probably going to move to a bigger house in a couple years and I dread selling this one. But at least it's paid for so if it sits here for a while then it's not too big of a deal, I guess.

Only 6 more days for me and I'm brimming with excitement and impatience. I hope my little one cooperates as nicely as yours did because I know Dr. Fogerty won't do another ultrasound just for gender. I'd HATE to have to wait until birth! lol! I'm the type that wants everything all organized and ready to go, ya know?

Anyhow, I hope all is well with you. Is it sinking in that you're having a girl? I remember smiling from ear to ear for days after we found out about Rebekah last year!

Rebekahs-mama - Wednesday, 3 September
I'm just soooooo happy for you. Let's face it, I would have been thrilled had your baby been a boy. But now we have even more in common! YAY for girls! We're hoping for another girl this time around but will certainly not be disappointed if it turns out to be a boy. Honestly so much of it would just be the relief of having all the girly clothes on hand already...does that sound awful or what? lol! Well, now you can start buying all sorts of pretty little things. Do you think you'll go to that big sale I told you about. It starts next Friday and goes through Saturday evening.

Rebekahs-mama - Wednesday, 3 September
I was just thinking about you last night about how freaking crazy excited you must be that this day is finally here! YAAAYYYYYY!!!!! I hope your baby cooperates for you! You'll have to let me know if you find out!

Hi Jessica! Thanks for checking in...everything is going okay although we had a bit of a scare this week concerning our u/s I added a blog about it...but all in all still househunting, housewaiting. we actually found a great house but then, we decided to stay on post but our house here won't be ready until Sept 11 so I am still looking for my dream house.:)

Rebekahs-mama - Friday, 22 August
Hey Jessica! Just wanted to drop by and tell you some news I found out today. I'm not sure if you're aware, but Mount Hope Church of Christ (just off Rangeline on Mt. Hope) has a bi-annual children's sale. Well I found out today that the fall sale is going to be held on the weekend of September 12th. I'm quite certain it starts bright and early, like 7 am and goes through Saturday. We've gone to the last couple sales and they're absolutley fantastic! TONS TONS TONS of cheap baby clothes! And lots of other baby items as well. I think we went with $50 this spring and came out with an entire summer wardrobe for Bekah...plus hair bows and a few toys! I'm hoping to find a second crib and possibly a car seat as well. Oh, and boy clothes if that's what we're having. Thank God the sale is 2 days after we find out!!! I just thought you might be interested! Drop me a note if you have any other questions!!! I hope your week is going well. Less than 2 weeks until you know!!!!! YAY!
