Here's a little about me!! I'm 28 years old and currently pregnant for the 8th time. My first pregnancy ended at 23 weeks and was very devastating. Throughout the past few years I have had 6 other pregnancies that ended between 8 and 10 weeks. With each miscarriage, there were many tests done on the babies and myself, and the only thing we learned was that they were all boys. I have been working with a maternal fetal specialist for about 5 years now and the only discovery she has found after countless tests is that I am hetero MTHFR. I have uterine blood clots during pregnancy. This is currently being treated with 2 daily injections of heparin (blood thinner), 5 mg of folic acid, baby asprin, calcium supplement, and 200 mg progesterone.. along with my prenatals. I am happy to say that I have made it into my 2nd trimester and have been doing great this time! I have morning sickness, which I never experienced with any of my previous pregnancies... and although morning sickness is not something we all adore... I value it!! I have ultrasounds every 2 weeks to monitor the progress of my little blessing and so far we've been seeing some very active ultrasounds!! The heartbeat averages 180 bpm. Things are looking good so far!
It `s officially a girl! Tomorrow I will be 21 weeks, and so far things are looking good! I have had ups and downs, seems like each appointment brings new issues. I have dealt with low amniotic fluid and pulled through it with lots of fluids and strict bed rest orders. Currently my amniotic fluid is looking much better. However, the baby has been measuring a bit on the small side. At this point she has been diagnosed with Achondroplasia. I don `t know too much about this but I am learning. Her arms and legs are smaller than they should be and her legs appear to be bowed a little. I am very optimistic and am just thankful that she is doing as well as she is! She is heaven sent and I am patiently awaiting her arrival in June!!!

Here's my new update!! I have been on bedrest since 10 weeks and it has been a challenge! (to say the least) We are still expecting our daughter to have skeletal dysplaisa (dwarfism), but it is unknown which type since there's over 200 forms of skeletal dysplasia. At this point I am 33weeks and 3 days and according to the ultrasounds, she has pretty much stopped growing and currently weighs 2 pounds 9 ounces. I am scheduled to have a c-section on May 20th with the hopes that once she is delivered she will begin to grow better. She will have to stay in the NICU for quite some time. I know that she has to weigh atleast 4 1/2 pounds, and she also has to be able to breathe, suck, & swallow at the same time as well as maintain her body temperature before she is able to come home. But we also have to make sure there are no other complications such as respiratory problems or issues stemming from the skeletal dysplasia.
Things are going to be fine! I am nervous as heck about her being so small and needing to be in NICU for a few weeks, but I'm trying to stay focused and stay positive. Prayers have helped thus far and will continue to help! Although I'm nervous... I'm also sooo excited that I'll finally be able to meet her!!
