Thursday, 19 November new blog ladies, sorry been so long, x SJC -
Tuesday, 17 November I meant the childbirth vid that you will be watching at anti-natal.... lol SJC -
Monday, 16 November Ooh I dont fancy watching the Vid..... SJC -
Monday, 16 November I am waiting to hear from the antinatal clinic with my appt. I requested it for Sunday(s). So many people have told me it is waste of time and all very obvious, if you can breathe, you will be ok!!! But having said that - I thought I would go along and see for myself! Have you started now? SJC -
Monday, 16 November Hiya, oh your scan sounds wonderful, well done you! Gosh you are so organised now. We still have not done anything really. The nursery will still be Paul's office until Christmas and then he will start to move it out to get ready for baby. We have no major hurry because Paul wants the baby in our room for a while at least! I think we are going to try and do some shopping for bubs at the weekend for things like babygrows, vests etc and items such as monitors, sterilizer, bottles, breast pump etc! SJC -
Friday, 13 November Oh and bubs heart rate was 146 - that sound about right ? SJC -
Friday, 13 November Good luck with your scan - it will be wonderful. No we havent started shopping yet. I did get my Pregnancy Grant form yesterday at Midwife's.
Swine Flu - I had been battling in my head about this for ages and did not know what to do. I got the letter from my GP 2 days ago asking me to phone and book a slot on Saturday 21st Nov. Well whilst at my appt yesterday I spoke to the Midwife and the Nurse there and had also spoken to the Hospital staff on Monday. All of them said that the dangers to bubs are much greater if I catch swine flu, the actual vaccine is dead not live, the baby is fully developed at this stage and so it can not effect development. WIth all that they said, I agreed I could only go by their advice and so I said I would book it. Then they said, the vaccine actually arrived that morning and so they would give it to me straight away. So I have had it! I feel ok (apart from STILL having a stinking cold) and my arm is sore today, like I have pulled a muscle. Bubs is still very active. You have to decide what is right for you and your baby, I could only go by the medical advice I received from 3 different people this week. SJC -
Friday, 13 November Yeh - well you were right it seems that she exagerated it all. Now she is not speaking to me cos I made her fell bad!!!!!!! Can you believe that... Thank God it is Friday. At my Midwife appt yesterday afternoon I felt my babies head. MIdwife was having a feel around and said baby is breach and she took my hands and gently pressed them either side if the head between my fingers. OMG how strange was that... I could imagine my bubs thinking " yeh, alright, that's my head, leave it out will ya"... how funny. Only about 30% of bubs are still breach at this point, but they wont get concerned until 34 weeks I think she said. SJC -
Thursday, 12 November My cold is still really bad and to top it all, I get to work this morning and the lady I sit next to has been to visit her grandson last night who yesterday she said had Swine Flu. Well I totally lost it! My boss said she could not do anything, ie, could not move me and swap me with someone else because that would be saying that the person moved to my seat was not as important as me. My colleague is now backing down and saying her grandson does not have swine flu (she seems to have made the diagnosis herself), in which case she exageratted the whole thing with his symptoms yesterday and has got me in this state for nothing. My eyes look like golf balls from crying.. Now she is upset because apparently I should know that she would never do anything to harm me or my baby! WTF???? Either he had all the symptoms that she said he had in which case there is a huge chance he has got it, or she exagerated it all and caused this upset for nothing. I am soooo P****d! I have even typed up my own little report of these events (and sent a copy to another colleague to keep for me) just in case something happens!!!! SJC -

Monday, 9 November hahahaha, phew! Isn't it always the way that baby is so quiet and as soon as you see a Dr you walk outa there and all of a sudden there's a ballet dancer in your belly! Hahahaha, so glad all is well :-) SJC -
Monday, 9 November I have a midwife appt on Thursday this week. I am not sure when the appts increase, I will check my paperwork tonight. Glad you are ok, better to be safe than sorry. I still have days when I barely feel bubs and then days when he/she just does not stop figetting - today is a fidget day! SJC -
Monday, 9 November Oh sorry to hear that you were so worried. How long had you not felt bubs for ? Fab news that all is good though. Paul is so against finding out the sex, that I dont think he will will want any extra scans that are not necessary. I am going to do my bag in a couple of weeks time. Oh by the way, they took my bloods today and are testing for glucose along with other routine checks, so I guess we dont have to have the drink like in other countries, it's done with bloods here.
