Well, Eddy finally made it out on Valentines day after a 48 hour labour with every every intervention you can imagine except for a caesar. She was 4.06 kilos and 22 inches long. Had a lot of complications with the birth - needed a manual removal of the placenta cause it was so old and is started haemorraging - lost 1.6 liters of blood. THen 2 weeks later i started haemorraging again when i was at home and had to call an ambulance. They didn't get all the placenta out and it had been clotting inside me since the birth. I lost all up about 3 liters of blood in 3 weeks. Ended up having a d&c to remove the leftover placenta. What an ordeal!

Birth horror aside - i am so in love with my little lady! I have never been clucky but now I already want another one! She is just such a cute munchkin and really well behaved. Its been 4 weeks and I am sad she is growing up already!

This is my second pregnancy - I was pregnant for 10 weeks in the beginning of 2006 however that ended in miscarriage due to an underactive thyroid. THIS time around was a complete accident - product of the withdrawal method! I was actually really happy because i believe you get the baby your supposed to have and as it turn out i'm having an aquarian summer baby which is kinda what i secretly wanted! We had a scare at week 8 - i started bleeding a little bit and thought i was going to miscarry all over again. Extremely scary period of time! We had an ultrasound and saw the heartbeat for the first time. It was super magical! I didn't get any morning sickness at all however, probably because its the middle of winter, I got the flu twice in the first 18 weeks and it took forever to get over! I've got my 20 week scan coming up and i can't wait to find out the sex!
