Hi, I'm Robyn. I just found out that I am pregnant on April 25th. My husband and I are SUPER excited about our first baby! I am hoping for a girl, and he is hoping for a boy... Honestly I don't care what the sex of the baby is, I just enjoy "arguing" and joking around with my hubby about the sex of our baby. My husband and I have been married since August 2006, ( less than a year), but have been together more than 7 years. He is in the ARMY, and is deploying to Iraq in August. Since I am due around Christmas (December 27th, I think!), he will not be present for the birth, but hopefully he will be able to come home for R&R (a break from Iraq) a few months after the baby is born. When he comes home for good, the baby should be about 11 months old.
Week 8- May 17th. Today starts week 8. I feel ok. Smells are really bothering me. ANY smell, really makes me nauseus. I have a tummy pooch now too! and I pee every 2 minutes it seems.
Week 9- The doctor said I am 9.5 weeks at this appoinment (May 31). These are the pictures from my first ultrasound. I was so Excited!!! I cried when I first saw my baby. The pictures are upside down because the baby was upside down. Both pictures are a front view, because the baby didn't want to cooperate and give a profile view :) According to the CRL measurements, I am due December 28th, but the Dr. said that date is +/- 5 days, so I could have a Christmas OR New Year's baby :))
Week 11- I went to the ER yesterday (June 8th) because of low abdominal pain. The nurse assured me that it was a combination of round ligament pain and some cramping from a stomach bug that I am still getting over. She did a doppler to reassure me and I heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time. It was 160 BPM. The nurse said that according to old wive's tales that a hear rate of more than 140 BPM means it's a girl :)

June 9th- My hubby has been in California at NTC (desert training for Iraq) for 3 weeks. I talkd to him for the first time yesterday since he has been gone. He will be home on Monday and I am so excited. He is the BEST GUY EVER!!! He surprised me with roses today... I know it doesn't seem like much, but he IS NOT romantic so it was a HUGE surprise and made me SO HAPPY!!!!
