Hello Ladies.... I hope everything is going okay with you all. My husband is in the military and is on his way to Iraq. He'll be gone until December, he wont be here for the birth. our ultrasound tech told us it was 80% chance we were having a boy, what should we do?

Congrats on your special delivery. Is your hubby coming home soon?

JES76 - Thursday, 1 May
Sorry to hear you develop preeclampsia. But at least it is at the end and if you had to be induced today you and baby would probably be just fine. Try to enjoy the time with your feet up - pretty soon you will be rushed off your feet caring for your little one. Keep us updated!

Mine was up that high the other night and I went to the hospital, then to the high risk clinic afterwards. The doc gave me a higher dosage of labetalol, from 100 mg to 300 mg. It seems to be helping with the higher dosage. Try to relax sweetie, and make sure you call the doc and let them know that your meds aren't working. Maybe they can give you something stronger.

Good luck at your Dr appointment! Hope your BP Has gone down.

AJV - Sunday, 27 April
Oh trust me I know what it is to be worried. I wasn't refering to your specific list of worries (your husband, your baby, your health) I was just trying to say that all of those things will only exacerbate your B/P problems and trying to relax as much as possible is imperative. Pre eclampsia is dangerous and although at this point your baby will most likely do well if delivered early, you can have many medical issues because of your B/P. Not to add to your list of concerns and I'm sure you already know the risks.

I was really just trying to remind you to TRY to relax, think about the positive things as much as possible, and to let you know that you have people out there praying for you, your husband, and your baby. Best wishes!

AJV - Sunday, 27 April
I'm sorry to here you are having B/P problems... take it easy. I know how hard it is not to worry but you really need to just chill and keep that little munchkin in just a little while longer your health is most important right now! Best wishes!

MommyJewels - Saturday, 26 April
Oh sweetie~
Keep me updated. Take it very easy this weekend and take care of yourself:)

Bed rest... how high was your BP? Did they have u take it a second time?

JES76 - Friday, 25 April
Glad to know I am not alone! The baby is measuring right where she should be and since I am only 9 days away from being full-term I think it would be OK if they had to induce. I am now just worried about developing a problem and not catching the signs. I did not have to do the 24 hour urine test and that worries me a bit since I tend to drink water and juice on the way to the Dr's in order to get Baby Girl active for the u/s. So the urine they tested at the appointment was pretty, well, watered down I guess you could say so I am not sure if the protein would definately turn up or not. I go back to the Dr. in one week and she gave me a list of symptoms to look out for. I guess I will just wait and see.......

Hey there - if u are swelling up i suggest u get ur blood pressure checked at a chemist nearby asap just to make sure u and baba are fine. :)

hotcaligirlz - Saturday, 19 April
Oh my misunderstanding! Sorry about that!

MommyJewels - Saturday, 19 April
Hi hon-
For your swelling...if it is sudden swelling that is really alarming call your doctor. Or check your blood pressure if you can. If you have any visual changes (spots etc) call them immediately to make sure it is not pre-e.

But, swelling is pretty normal. I know it's odd...but drinking and staying really hydrated is very important. Walk around, stretch put your feet over your head and relax:)

hey, just wanted to say YAY, im happy to hear your husband may just have the luck of pretty good timing!!!! Hope yourswelling calm...drink more water? light walks might help??? have a lovely weekend chicky.

jennymama - Friday, 18 April
My feet have also swelled up. I went to the doctor and I had gained 11 pounds in two weeks (I'd only gained 20 before then!). I have no ankles left! My blood pressure is fine, so my doctor is not worried. All you can really do is elevate your feet and sleep on your left side (and buy a pair of $500 support stockings!) Let me know if your doc has any other advice for you!

1stimemommy - Wednesday, 9 April
This is my first day in week 33 also and I had my doc appt yesterday and was measuring 36 weeks. Did your doctor tell you that means you might go early. Mine didn't say anything but that is what I am hoping for. ;)

HollieNJax - Tuesday, 8 April
A lot of docs wouldn't have a problem with that as long as you are around 38+ weeks. I wouldn't ask to do it any earlier just because the most important thing is the baby's health but it won't hurt to ask.
