"REMEMBER TODAY...
FOR IT IS THE BEGINNING OF OUR FOREVER."

Hi, My name is Meghan and my EDD (Expected Due Date) with my first child is on July 5, 2008. My birthday, my husband's birthday and our anniversary are all in July so why not think that our miracle would be born in any month other than July. LOL

Andrew & I were married on July 28, 2007 on the beach in FL. We knew we wanted to begin our family early and God Blessed us with the opportunity quickly. We are thrilled, along with our families, to be expecting this wonderful new little life into our family.

We found out we were pregnant on October 28th, our 3rd month anniversary. Since we were trying to conceive, we took the weekend that I should have been having "the visitor". I took the test and Andrew and I watched together as we saw two little lines come into view. We were ecstatic, hugged, cried and couldn't wait to share the news. Immediately we told my parents as they were in the house with us, then we called Andy's parents and told them.

I've been really Blessed so far because I've not had any real m/s. Twice I was sick, but it was very brief. In the first two months, I was pretty tired most of the time but that seems to be passing.

The first u/s was amazing, as I'm sure it is to everyone. We were able to hear the heartbeat for the first time at 13 w 6 d. As I'm sure all parents feel, it was the most amazing sound in the world. Andy recorded it on his phone and we listened to it over and over again. I'm so glad he was able to record/video the heartbeat because we were able to forward it to family and friends that don't live near us.

At the start of my 14th week, I definitely have a baby belly and have had for a good many weeks now. I'm eating well but haven't gained much weight yet. Actually I think it's redistributing itself into my belly. I've not been able to wear my jeans since I was about 6-8 weeks! Thank goodness that stretchy leggins are working for now. The maternity pants don't really fit yet, but the jeans are a no-go!

The baby started moving early. I would have to say like the first 10 weeks. LOL. Now that I'm in my 2nd trimester I haven't really had a whole bunch of movement. He/she seems to move early in the morning.

I hope everyone continues to have safe, comforting and Blessed pregnancies!

Here's a message I wrote to our baby. I want "Rookie" to always know how loved he/she has and will always be.

Loving note to an unborn miracle. From Mommy.
Current mood: loved

Hey little guy,
I just thought you should know that every morning when I'm laying in bed and I feel you move and kick you bring a tear to my eye and a smile to my face. The first time your daddy and I saw you on the ultrasound screen we knew we were blessed to have you in our life.
I want you to know that no matter what happens in your life mommy and daddy will always be here to protect you. Even when you have a nightmare about "the big red koolaid guy" know that daddy and I aren't and will never be too far away for you to run and climb in our bed.
You are our little miracle, our little cuddlebug, our little Rookie. I know that you will grow up fast but just remember to take one step at a time and enjoy life. And know that no matter how old you are or what life throws at you daddy and I will be behind you every step of the way and no matter what path you choose we'll always love you the same.
We can't wait to meet you, and I can't wait to hold you close to my heart as you did when you were in my tummy. You always hugged my heart when daddy and I went to the doctors for a checkup the doctor had a hard time finding your heartbeat when she found it you were so close to mine that the heartbeat seemed to be synchronized.
Well my little Rookie as you keep kicking me and flipping around you let me know that your as happy as can be in my tummy. And you'll always be safe and warm near mommy and daddy. Know that we love you more then life its self.

Love,
Mommy

P.s: I can't wait to meet you face to face and kiss you all over and make funny sounds on your tummy and kiss your little feeties lol.

Well, arent those guys nice! They probably have children and were trained how to treat a pregnant woman properly. I'm totally loving it!

Wasted guilt- he won't have a clue or even a memory of it. He only cares that you will take care of him and you will. So, don't give that another thought. It is what it is and the new home will be fabulous! I'm a little jealous- I want to move.

tto - Tuesday, 29 April
You could use a pack n play/ play yard for the first little bit. I just got one and set it up to see how it looked. It has a swinging bassinet and a changing station. Then underneath is another area for older babies. The whole thing breaks down fairly easily and packs away in a bag. It is designed for travel but would work perfectly for you. There about a hundred bucks- so not too expensive.

Caracaya - Monday, 28 April
I don't know what kind of crib you have, but mine took about three hours to set up. It was a huge undertaking. Personally, we plan on having the baby sleep in the room with us in an Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper for the first few months. Only then will we move her into the wooden crib in her nursery. I think waiting to put the crib together until after your move might save you a lot of time and effort at this point. It'll be tough enough with a newborn. Good luck!

jenjen74 - Monday, 28 April
The baby will probably be sleeping beside you anyway. So I would just use the bassinet in your room until you move. My babies are usually in the bassinet right beside my bed for 6-8 weeks. Why give yourself more work during the move?? :) Good luck!!

Ama-llama - Monday, 28 April
Hello there! I too am moving shortly after the birth . I solved this problem by getting a travel cot. I know that I will use it again when he is older or with other kids so I didnt mind spending the money for it and I know I wouldnt use a bassinet again. Plus, the pack n plays come with a changing area too.

sandj - Monday, 28 April
Personally, I honestly wouldn't bother setting the nursery up. The crib will do just fine until you move. Trust me, the first few weeks you have so little time to yourself as it is, and moving will be tough enough as it is, so don't put extra pressure on yourself by giving yourself even more to have to pack up!

brandice81 - Monday, 28 April
thanks for telling Me were to find the crib tents! I appreciate it!

carriecouch - Monday, 28 April
I went ahead and bought a doppler. :O) Your due date is approaching in less than 10 more wks!!!!! I can't wait till I'm where you are at!! Your tummy is so cute! I'm getting a better defined bump! I LOVE it! I'm ready for mine to look like a baby, instead of just fat. People look at me puzzled as to whether I'm just fat or if I'm pregnant. I'm so ready for people to have no question. :) Congrats!

carriecouch - Sunday, 27 April
What makes me mad is that I make part of the money too! I let him get whatever he wants, and have never told him NO on something he really wanted, no matter how much it cost. He's driving a $40,000 truck, and I can't have a $100 doppler that I could re-sale on e-bay later?!? It just frustrates me! If I get obsessive over it when I have it, I'll re-sale it on e-bay. He was talking about getting a hotel room for his cousin's wedding this coming weekend $120/night. I told him we'd just stay one night, instead of 2 or 3 and that money could go to my doppler. He ended up just reserving a room for 1 night, and I still don't get my doppler. We'll see...

IraqiMom - Friday, 25 April
